Although the things Akira was talking about interested everyone, Jarvis had to focus on his responsibilities. He interrupted Akira, saying, "Master, this is all great, but I really think you need a change of clothing." Akira looked at himself and agreed, "Okay, Jarvis, I should change my clothes. But what should we do?"
Jarvis then turned to Archie, "Archie, I think there were clothes in the bedroom's cupboard, right?"
Archie nodded, "Yes, my lord. They were the clothes of Lord Henry."
"Alright, Jarvis," Akira said, "We'll go to the new office, but before that, please note that for the courtroom, we will need benches and two stages—a big one for the judge, who will also get a bench, and a smaller platform for any person related to the case to stand and answer any questions asked by the lawyer."
Brooks asked, "My Lord, what is a lawyer?"
Akira replied, "A lawyer is someone who speaks on behalf of the defendant or the accuser. They both know the law." Turning back to Jarvis, Akira said, "We're done with the basics here. Let's move to the room that will become the office of our new governor."
They all walked to the room. Akira and Jarvis opened the closet, revealing many fancy and expensive clothes. Jarvis made Akira try on various outfits, all of which fit well. After trying several outfits, Akira finally settled on a normal pair of pants and a shirt.
"Now that we're done with the clothing, let me tell you what I have in mind for this place," Akira said. "Mostly, this room will be empty, with just a bench for Archie to sit and talk to people with issues or any visitors. There will be benches and chairs outside for people who are waiting. Let's move to the conference room."
They went to the conference room, where Akira explained, "This room will be used for meetings with important people to discuss any issues. A huge table and chairs surrounding it will suffice. Now that we are done with this, Jarvis, we need people to run this place. We need guards, maids, and people who can read and write. Make posters and put them up on the announcement boards all over town. These people can do that."
Jarvis replied, "Yes, my lord. I will start working on it right away."
"Good. I will be going to the bridge to see what I can do. Archie, you will stay here and help him," Akira instructed.
Archie responded, "Yes, my lord. My friends and I won't let you down."
Akira nodded and started walking toward the bridge that connected the town with the Kingdom of Duatt.
Meanwhile, in the dungeon below the mansion, two prisoners stared at the wall, wondering what had happened to them and what kind of monster they had fought. Eileen asked, "My lord, is your leg okay now?"
Ethel replied, "Yes, it doesn't hurt anymore." Then he asked, "What happened after I fainted?"
Eileen said, "I healed you, but I don't remember what happened after that. Those ogres were so strong and fast."
Ethel agreed, "Yes, they were absolutely monstrous. I wonder how strong their master was. Could we have been fighting a demon lord?"
Eileen asked, "Lord Ethel, what should we do now?"
Ethel replied, "We have to wait until the main army arrives. It was supposed to arrive in two weeks from yesterday, but I can't tell how much time has passed. Since we haven't sent any messenger, they will certainly come quicker, maybe in one week. We can just wait until something happens."
In Concordia, a carriage left the city, heading to the outskirts. Oliver was very impatient, anxious about what he might see or worse, what he wouldn't see. As the carriage arrived at the site of Fate's base, everyone was shocked by what they saw. There was no house, just a large hole where the base used to be. Oliver got out of the carriage and, in shock and helplessness, fell to his knees. His mind raced. "What is all this? What just happened here? Where is the base?"
The guards stood around him, calling his name until one finally shook his shoulder, bringing Oliver back to his senses. The guard asked, "My lord, what should we do now?"
Oliver stood up and said, "Look around and see if you find anything." The guards scattered, searching for any clues. Oliver returned to his carriage and talked to himself, "It's not the time to panic. I have to go to the city and prepare for a siege. In the meantime, I will let scouts gather info on the army. Yes, this is what I will do." He called everyone together and announced, "We are leaving for the city right now."
Back in the town, Akira saw Alphagob on guard and Gammagob and the goblins patrolling the place. He ordered them to go to the mansion and rest. All the summons noticed their master's transformation but none acted odd because they were hundred percent sure of themselves that this is their master because they are connected to him like no one. They are connected to Akira as if they are a part of him. They all did a slight bow and left for the mansion. Akira observed the old bridge and saw it could break at any moment. It was a surprise it hadn't been destroyed so far.
"The army is big, so it's very likely they will take a shortcut and try to cross from here instead of taking the long way. I need to make this bridge strong and add a small fort at the end of it as a defensive position," Akira said to himself. He envisioned how the bridge should look and used earth magic to form it. Alfred helped shape the stones into a bridge-like formation. The ground shook as the stones moved and molded like clay. Once the bridge was completed, Akira cleaned his hands and said, "That wasn't so hard. Now, I have to make the forts—a small one on the other side of the bridge and a large one on this side."
