Chereads / His Crimson Obsession / Chapter 8 - A potent poison

Chapter 8 - A potent poison

There was a stark reality that confronted Elara as she delved into the depths of Eiravyne's plan – there was no poison that could fulfill the intricate scenario she envisioned without posing a fatal threat to her own life.

The more Elara delved into the labyrinth of possibilities, the more it became apparent that the concoction Eiravyne sought might not even harm the Romani family after her sacrifice.

Elara, observing Eiravyne's determination, couldn't shake off the unsettling feeling that her mistress might be driven more by overwhelming rage than clear reasoning.

However, even in the face of this doubt, Elara harbored a deep-seated desire to support Eiravyne.

The sheer intensity of Eiravyne's emotions painted a picture of a woman trapped in a nightmarish situation, and Elara was determined to stand by her side.

After dinner, Amidst the chilling atmosphere, Eiravyne found herself seated draped in a white bridal dress that exuded an unsettling sophistication.

Elara's earlier revelation lingered in her mind – Alfonso's sinister intent to impregnate her was the reason for this dress .

' They want to piss on me with this dress, they think I don't know what they are going to do to me after this, thanks to Elara, I am well aware that Alfonso is going to do his move this night ….and for sure …I am well prepared for that ' she thought .

The Romani family gathered ominously around her, they were having silly conversations as if she was not even there .

She hated how calm they looked …how her life didn't mean a thing to them …and how it was so easy for them to hurt an innocent person in the most disgusting way .

' Finally ' she thought …

Her vision blurred for a second …and Eiravyne just knew that Elara was very helpful to her …the poison she gave her at dinner was starting to work on her already fragile body .

The disorienting sensation engulfing her mind hinted at the supposed effects of the poison.

Lorenzo unleashed a frenzy of cruelty upon Eiravyne as usual, his actions akin to that of a deranged assailant.

With a malevolent glint in his eyes, he wielded his ring, slashing at her legs, thighs, arms, and shoulders, leaving a trail of searing pain in his wake.

After a while ..

The metallic brackets beneath her bore witness to the half-filled reservoir of her blood, a horrifying testament to the brutality inflicted upon her.

Each glass he filled with her life force felt like an act of sadistic revelry, as if the Romani family were indulging in an unholy communion.

As the family's voices grew more distant, Eiravyne's consciousness teetered on the brink, the glasses before her stained with her own blood from the outside because he immersed the glasses in the brackets and filled the glasses.

'They are just like animals …' she thought.

Lorenzo, the orchestrator of this macabre symphony, walked last, cradling a cup brimming with her essence.

A sadistic smile played on his lips as he joined his family, then lifted his glass in a grotesque toast.

The clinking of their glasses echoed in the room, the spilled blood forming a chilling tableau on the ground.

In the midst of her torment, Eiravyne managed a faint smile.

Her mind spun with dizziness, and in that disoriented state, she couldn't help but offer silent gratitude to Elara.

"This must be a potent poison," she thought, her appreciation mingled with a sense of surreal detachment. "Thank you, Elara. I can't thank you enough."

Alessio, with a sly grin, leaned towards his brother and teased, "If you ever find yourself incapable of dominating that little bitch, you know you can always count on me. I could take care of her."

In the midst of the torment, Eiravyne felt a surge of panic. "Hurry, please, work. Please," she pleaded internally, desperately hoping that the poison would take effect.

As her consciousness teetered on the edge of awareness, she had one final, poignant thought, "I was never suicidal…but ..just thanking of them smiling is filling me with an enormous rage… I have to end them …."

Alfonso's malevolent gaze bore into her. The room seemed to warp and twist, shadows dancing with malicious delight.

Alfonso approached, and the air thickened with an oppressive aura.

Her consciousness teetered on the edge of darkness. In moments, the world around her dissolved into an indistinct haze, a disconcerting interplay of fleeting glimpses and ominous silhouettes.

Twisted images flickered before her eyes, like fragments of a nightmare unraveling in disjointed sequences.

In the final descent into the abyss, Eiravyne felt herself being transported, a mere vessel for the unfolding tragedy.

' He is going to do it …please …please …poison …work now …work now 'She thought urgently.

Alfonso's hands, cold and predatory, guided her to a room, each step heavy with the weight of impending doom.

Unable to move, Eiravyne's senses were overwhelmed by a barrage of sensations—echoes of laughter, the scent of some acrid concoction, and the disconcerting sound of her own heartbeat.

It was as if reality itself had become a fevered nightmare, and she was ensnared within its nightmarish grip.

As she lay on the bed, the cold surface pressed against her back, and Alfonso's ominous presence loomed over her.

His shirtless figure added an additional layer of horror, intensifying the vulnerability she felt.

Panic surged within her, but her body refused to respond. It was a silent scream trapped within the confines of her paralyzed form.

Desperation clawed at her, a futile attempt to escape the impending darkness.

She strained to articulate words, but her mouth remained sealed by an invisible force, rendering her voiceless.

' Why was I never warned about the Romani family even when they harbored such hatred towards me …And why…Ilkar Skivarion was the only one on my father's list …was he really my enemy…or my father's enemy…why am I even thinking about him right now ?' she thought.

And then, as Alfonso descended upon her, the world succumbed to an abyss of nothingness.

Darkness enveloped her, a chilling void that swallowed every trace of her consciousness, leaving her adrift in an unending sea of emptiness.
