Everything was in chaos, the half-destroyed building was more devastated than before. And the wave of that explosion swept over the entire area and turned the whole place upside down; the place was no longer recognizable.
He crawled out through the rubble. And pushed aside the small stones.
"Kuff, kuff."
After swallowing that thick dust, the man's throat felt itchy, and because of that rubble, his body was full of wounds and his clothes were decorated with blood.
Finally, after a lot of effort, Zack was able to pull himself out from under the rubble. His eyes were turning black and he was not balanced, but he tried to steady his feet and stood up.
He looked around with confused eyes. "Elaine, Elaine where are you?!"
He was looking for Elaine; after the explosion, Elaine quickly went to the place where Karina was falling. And then, the building began to collapse, and Zack had already passed out and was buried under the rubble.
He was now muttering Elaine's name like crazy, pushing away the pieces of rock with his hands so that he could find her.
"Elaine, Elaine. Please, please be okay!"
Meanwhile, Joshua, Billy, and Tahel fell a little further from the building, close to the creeping roots, due to the shock of the explosion. Although they were not trapped under the rubble of the building, their bodies were severely damaged, especially Tahel; he could feel the pain in all his bones, as if he had been hit with a meat masher, his whole body was screaming in pain.
Joshua and Billy's condition didn't look so good either, but at least they were in better condition than Tahel and could move. But Tahel had no strength to get up.
Joshua, seeing that Tahel could not move due to the intense pain, tried to check on his condition.
"Tahel, which part of your body do you feel the most pain in?!"
Tahel was very confused at that moment and could not hear Joshua's voice well, and only a whistling sound was ringing in his ears.
Joshua, seeing that Tahel was not in a good condition and could not understand his words, became very worried.
"Oh, Billy, what do you think we should do? He is not in a good condition at all."
Billy was also very confused by the condition Tahel was in, and he did not know what to do. They did not even have any medicine available at the moment and their shelter was completely destroyed.
This situation seemed really hopeless.
A little further away, Zack was still searching for Elaine and Karina. His hands were completely injured and bruised, his heartbeat rhythm was intensified and he felt a strange pain; He felt like his whole world was collapsing, he was about to start crying from despair; in that last moment of despair, he was able to see a hand sticking out from the rubble.
So he quickly pushed aside the rubble and was able to find Elaine. She was holding Karina tightly in her arms and had used herself as a shield to protect her.
Elaine seemed to be badly injured, because a lot of blood was flowing from her head and it looked very dangerous. And Karina was also unconscious in his arms at that moment. When Zack tried to take Karina out of Elaine's arms, he was very shocked.
"How is it possible?!"
10-year-old Karina had shrunk to the size of a 4-year-old girl. Anyway, Zack gently pulled Karina out of Elaine's arms and laid her on a flat rock so that he could pull Elaine out of the rubble.
After a few minutes, he was able to pull Elaine out of the rubble. Unfortunately, Elaine's bleeding wouldn't stop, and Zach had no means to stop it. In that chaotic situation, it was not clear if we could hope that something was left healthy or not. Until an idea came to his mind. He had the power of freezing, so maybe he could freeze the blood flowing from Elaine's wound to act as a barrier and stop her bleeding.
So Zack tried his best to only use the freezing on the skin and not let his power enter the wound, and using it, he froze the blood on Elaine's forehead. And after a few moments, fortunately, no more blood came out of the wound.
This gave Zack some peace of mind. However, the situation was worse than he thought. They had an unconscious and injured person with them, and he was still unaware of the situation of the others.
They were in a very dangerous situation and they had to leave this infamous place as soon as possible. Because this fight had made a lot of noise and many monsters were certainly drawn to this direction.
"Ah, what should I do with this situation, I hope Joshua and Billy are okay?!"
Joshua and Billy tried to find a means to help Tahel and bandage his wounds by searching around, but unfortunately everything was buried under the rubble.
Joshua muttered nervously, "Oh, damn it. What's this?! What should we do now?!"
Billy was also anxious, but he tried not to show his anxiety and said in a calm voice, "We'd better go find Zack, maybe he can do something?!"
"Oh, yeah. I don't know if they're okay?!"
So Joshua and Billy returned to where Tahel was, to move him to a better place and then go after the rest of the group.
But when they got close to Tahel, they noticed something strange. A shadow was sitting next to Tahel, they were very scared and a shiver shook their souls. They didn't know what that shadow was, nothing was clearly visible from a distance and in that semi-darkness.
They whispered to themselves, "What is that shadow?! Could it be another monster?! What should we do now?!"
They didn't know what to do, their bodies were damaged and they couldn't fight anymore. But running away wasn't an option either; so they headed towards Tahel and tried to walk as silently as they could, but when they reached Tahel, there was nothing there.
"Damn, what happened?! Did we see it wrong?!"
Both Joshua and Billy were shocked. Could it be that two people could see the same illusion at the same time? This was very strange. They approached Tahel hesitantly, but nothing dangerous happened and there were no shadows or monsters there; so what did they see a few minutes ago?
Tahel's head was throbbing with pain and he felt like his body was falling apart, and this pain made his vision blurry, like a blind person, he couldn't see or hear.
However, this blindness didn't last more than a few moments and he regained his sight. But when his eyes opened again, his body trembled from what he saw. A strong shiver ran down his spine and cold sweat soaked his back.
"Why am I here again?! What the hell is this?!"
He found himself again in that endless hellish plain. It was like a terrible nightmare for Tahel. An endless plain without life.
Tahel was afraid and did not know what awaited him in this plain. Was he going to be swallowed by this plain again? This seemed even worse than what had happened before.
He tried to get up, but his body was locked firmly to the ground and he could not move. "What should I do now!?"
His mind was in complete chaos. He felt like an invisible hand was squeezing his throat and trying to suffocate him; and a black dust was covering his body and entering his body through his skin and respiratory tract.
The dust smelled sickeningly, and he felt like he might vomit at any moment. A smell of corruption and blood.
The feeling of suffocation and pressure was growing, and his out of breath. "Huff, huff."
Tahel, who was breathing heavily, his eyes went black again and he fainted.
When he regained consciousness and opened his eyes, he saw two men standing above him, whispering something under his breath. But Tahel, who was not yet fully awake, did not understand what they were saying.
But to his surprise, he felt less pain, as if he could now move his body. This seemed scary and strange; but Tahel could not find an answer to his current situation.
It was as if this world wanted him to remain unanswered and leave him alone with his unanswered questions. It was really cruel for him who didn't remember anything.
Anyway, at this moment, only one thing was important, and that was not to be an additional burden to others. Because everyone seemed to be in a miserable state. So he tried to get up.
Joshua and Billy were shocked to see Tahel getting up. So Joshua said, "Hey, what are you doing?! Could you get hurt?!"
Tahel replied to Joshua with a cough, "Kuff...Kuff. Oh, don't worry, I'm a little better now. Let's go after the others?!"
Billy also looked a little anxious after seeing Tahel's pale appearance. "Are you sure you're okay?! You can rest more, Josh and I will go look for the others group?!"
"Yeah, Billy is right, you better go to that corner, hide by that wall until Billy and I come back."
Tahel, seeing their seriousness, gave up and decided to hide by that broken wall near the entrance until the rest of the group arrived.
