Stephanie's POV
Stephanie woke up drowsy and confused, her head throbbing with pain. Struggling to recall the events of what she believed was the night before, her memory was foggy, but bits and pieces started to come back: Alexander and Beatrice. The first thing she felt was a deep sense of betrayal. She tried to run her hand through her hair but realized she couldn't move. Panic started to set in as she looked around, recognizing that Alexander and Beatrice were the least of her problems now.
The room was dark, and her eyes had to adjust to the dim lighting. It wasn't a place she recognized immediately, yet there was something disturbingly familiar about it. problem. it wasn't a place she was familiar with, actually there was something a little familiar about this place. She couldn't pinpoint it, It was like she knew it but really didn't.
