Stephanie's POV
The next week came by faster than she thought it would. Her appointment was constant in her head; she was terrified but also a bit excited. She had never been to therapy before, and the idea of opening up to a stranger about her deepest fears and traumas scared her, but it was something that needed to be done.
The day of the appointment finally came. She stood in front of the address given to her, let out a breath, her hands shaking slightly as she rang the doorbell. The door opened to reveal a middle-aged woman with kind eyes and a gentle smile, standing in a warm and inviting living area. "Stephanie? I'm Dr. Hall. Please, come in." She ushered her into her home, which apparently doubled as her office.
