Stephanie's POV
Stephanie crouched down to Alexander's level, her heart pounding with fear. She saw that he made a little movement and let out a groan. He wasn't passed out, but he seemed very drowsy. She held his face in her hands and felt that his temperature was unnaturally high. She needed to do something to stabilize it. She rushed up the stairs looking for a towel. When she finally found one, she rushed back down the stairs to sponge him with tepid water. As the cold towel met his body, he let out another groan.
"Alexander, are you okay? That's such a stupid question. Please just open your eyes, let me know you can hear me," she said, panicking, her voice shaking with fear. Alexander blinked his eyes open before closing them again. She let out a sigh of relief.
"Stephanie," he said her name in a whisper. "Is this a dream?" he asked, forcing his eyes to open again. Tears pooled in Stephanie's eyes.
