Adam nodded again but Haze stepped briskly into front of the master. He had a sneer on his face. "If I recall correctly, it's my turn now".
Master Wei looked shocked for the fraction of a second but he recovered quickly and nodded. "Yes I suppose".
"Good luck, you'll need it". Adam whispered as he walked off.
"I don't need it". Haze retorted angrily. The weight of his sword rested on his knee in assurance.
Master Wei handed him the blindfold and he tied it over his eyes, submerging himself in a see of darkness. With that, he was ready for the test.
Master Wei cleared his throat. "Are you ready?"
The darkness has caused Haze's body to go into fight or flight mode and his body was trembling in anticipation. His hearted pounded so loudly in its cage that Haze thought it might burst out of his chest.
"I'm ready". He said and held his sword steady.
Master Wei picked a pebble. "Okay, here goes". He flung it at Haze.
