Back in Death Desert, across the chaos-filled region, newspaper carriers rushed throughout all of the cities, mostly coming from the region of Aridronia. Back in Sunstone Village, the local newspaper carrier named Hans stirred up chaos in front of the citizens, causing a massive commotion. "EXTRA, EXTRA, READ ALL ABOUT IT!" he exclaimed. Handing the enraged bystanders the latest edition of the Death Desert paper, everyone screamed in shock as they had seen the front headline.
"W-Why would they relocate it!?" one man exclaimed. In the blink of an eye, the cries of extreme excitement morphed into mere chaos, making the headline the most controversial throughout the region in the history of the newspaper. Nationwide, riots continued to rage on throughout cities due to the response given by the Death Desert Government. "First they delay and relocate the Great Dune Dash, and now they make a shitty ass statement about all the chaos that's been going on around the region? Many homes have been lost in Embercliff due to the battle! DOWN WITH THE KING!" one of the many crowds across the region exclaimed. Now, Death Desert was in a code red state of emergency. Aybara had already made a getaway, it was impossible to escape the region, Raja hadn't addressed anything due to his journey to the impending World Summit, and worst of all, many multi-million dollar criminals were on the loose, including the now infamous Team ENTITY! Meanwhile back at Yugi, thousands of soldiers proceeded to surround the mountain, all holding enormous machine guns that were as big as a horse. "We'll kill any criminal that tries to escape us!" one man shouted, hyping up the rest of his fleet. "Team ENTITY may have made it out, but that doesn't mean after everything gets settled, we won't be looking for them internationally! Once you get a bounty in our region, there's no going back!" As the guards continued to camp the only way out of Death Desert, multiple criminals proceeded to roam the hellish and sandy conditions of their home. Hakim, leading the fleet of criminals, grinned. "We've finally found an antidote for Blue Sand! Now, we have freed all the criminals that were on Death Row! Blue Sand may make us powerless, but after all our time in Kaha, we can finally make heads roll once again! DOWN WITH THE KING!" he screamed in excitement. As the Post-DDLFO effects continued to unfold, Michael, who was left unaware of all the ongoing chaos, looked around the windy desert. "Death Desert really needs to tighten their security… he thought to himself, scoffing. Raja may be good at talking tough, but he damn well isn't good at making plans. Especially overpricing bounties for a bunch of tweens and teens when your country is under a damn state of emergency." As he continued on to the rendezvous point of the Great Dune Dash soldiers, his smooth sailing came to an abrupt end when he had stumbled upon the path Gerald and Spooky had left in the region. As Michael looked around, all he saw around every corner of the battlefield were hands emerging from the floor, frozen in time. Picking one of the men up by their hand, a perplexed Michael touched his head, absorbing all of the intel the soldier had gained before getting brutally knocked out on the battlefield. "I see… so it seems like everyone escaped, which is nice. Hopefully they can catch up and engage in battle with Aybara. We've trained a full month, and there's no going back on our mission now. Just stay safe out there, everyone…" he thought to himself, projecting his fond memories of each team member. "I remember those days when Alex was still in the city. It feels like yesterday…" Dropping the soldiers hand, Michael continued his voyage. "This reminds me of the Sword Graveyard…" he thought to himself, picturing the frail, small, hands of the soldiers as the swords that hung out of the ground, each holding a cloth with a color depending on the sword. "Maybe the legend was actually true…"
The World Summit - 19 hours.
The Great Dune Dash (Delayed) - 43 hours.
"Time to get to Ironhold…" Michael thought to himself, disappearing into the ominous fog of the desert. Back at the canyon, Alex continued to surf down using one of the dead bodies his old comrades held, destined to use a shortcut to get to the World Summit early. "I wonder if me and Michael will ever meet again… I'll be returning to Crystal City very soon, like I promised. After the World Summit ends, our friend group will finally reassemble!" Finally reaching the bottom of the giant canyon, a gigantic waterfall sat before Alex, connecting him between Death Desert and the outside world. "They may know about Yugi, but they still don't know about the waterfall…" he said, walking through the gigantic body of water. "This region will eventually meet a new era, where peace can thrive successfully. This World Summit will be the most important one yet! It will draw fate for this poor country, and the forces of the government will continue! A new dawn is coming, and I just know it's going to be good for the citizens." Proceeding to ride back down to the Winding Forest, Alex waved goodbye to the unaware soldiers. "There they are, still clueless." Now that Death Desert met the dawn of a revolution between good vs. evil, Team ENTITY, making a pit stop to heal Kevin at Trka, will continue their goal of pursuing and eliminating the organization of Aybara once and for all!
Two outcomes stood vacant - now or never?
