Chereads / Ivy's Seduction / Chapter 80 - Red Wedding

Chapter 80 - Red Wedding

I looked in the mirror at myself. The wedding dress was exactly as I described it to Pnina. The cape she made for me was perfect, with its black lace choker, shoulder coverings, and red mesh train perfectly matching the dress. I didn't eat anything to fit into it; I was gaining weight faster than I realized. It was a struggle pulling the dress up over my hips. The makeup artist and hairstylist gave me a vamp look with smoky black eyes and a deep red lip. I was already so pale I looked like I was walking to my death, which I suppose I was in a sense. How was this any different than selling your soul to the devil?

"Wow," I heard a whisper from behind me.

I turned to see Tanya standing in her stunning bridesmaid dress, choking back tears.

"Do I look okay?" I asked. I felt self-conscious because of my weight gain.

"You look breathtaking," she smiled, "You look like you."

I smiled as she walked over and held both of my hands in hers.

 "I'm nervous," I shuttered.

"You have Eric and me. We aren't going anywhere," she comforted, "I came up here to tell you the ceremony should be starting soon. You should come down now."

I took a deep breath and nodded before double-checking myself in the mirror.

"Alright, I'll be right down," I confirmed.

I slipped into my black ankle boots and grabbed my black and red rose bouquet from the desk beside me. I froze in my tracks to the sound of an unexpected creaking from my bedroom door. I quickly turned but saw no one there. I heard another sound, which caused me to walk out into the hall. I looked left and right, but no one was in sight. I could listen to light echoes from the party downstairs, but there was no trace of anything that could have made that sound. I returned to my room to grab my diamond tiara from my nightstand and slid it in front of the messy, wavy updo the hairstylist gave me.

A louder creaking sound echoed, and I yelped, turning around, but no one was there. Is this place haunted or something? I've never heard creaking in a mansion of this size, especially one mainly built of concrete and brick. I clutched my bouquet and went back out into the hall. Still no one. What the Hell was going on? The eerie darkness was not helping in the slightest. I began to make my way over to the stairwell when I froze. I didn't think this through. I should have gotten dressed in one of the guest rooms downstairs.

"This is going to be fun," I mumbled.

I struggled down the narrow concrete spiral stairwell when I felt my cape snag on something. I tried pulling myself free to no avail.

"This is fucking great?!" I shouted.

In frustration, I set my bouquet down and unfastened the buttons around my neck, releasing the cape. I began to lean over to grab my bouquet from the ground when my heel slipped.

"Ahh!" I cried as I stumbled down the last few steps hitting the concrete ground hard, "Son of a bitch!"

The wincing pain shot throughout my body as I tried getting on my knees when I felt something hairy intertwine my fingers. Blond hair? I know this blond hair.

 "Tanya!" I cried.

I saw blood pooled around her mouth as she lay there lifeless beside me.

"No, no, no, no!" I cried, tears streaming down my face, "Please! I need you!"

I gently rolled her onto her back as she remained lifeless and limp.

"Please, please, please!" I shouted in pain.

"Such a pity," a familiar voice said from the stairwell behind me, "I thought she was you."

I veered over my shoulder to see Eve making her way over to me.

 "You bitch!" I screamed.

Without thought, I lunged at Eve, my hands locked around her throat as I slammed her back into the wall. I continued to hit her head into the concrete before she shoved me back; due to how restricting my dress was, I fell onto my butt. She tried jumping on me, but I extended my left foot and kicked her to the side. I hear the material in my skirt rip and tear against my skin as I force it to my will.

I returned to my feet, and she crouched down, stalking me like an animal.

"I warned you to be careful," she maniacally laughed, "You think I'd let you marry my father? You should have run when you had the chance!"

She lunged at me once more, and I swung, my left fist connecting to her cheek. While staggering back, I seized the back of her head, jerking it up so I could see her face.

"You should have never touched her!" I screamed while throwing her into the coffee table.

The sound of wood and glass shattering echoed on the walls as I straddled her, wrapping my hands around her throat. I tightened my grip as she tried gasping for air.

"I'll kill you for hurting her!-

I felt something hard hit me in the side of my head. I rolled off of Eve and stumbled into the mantle of the fireplace. I felt my head as warm red liquid began blurring my vision. I started growing lightheaded from the impact. Eve grasped a piece of broken wood and swung at me once more. I turned but felt it connect to my back, sending me face-first into the concrete.

 "You worthless slut!" Eve hollered.

I felt a foot slam into my lower back, crushing my stomach into the floor. A shocking, intense pain grew deep within my stomach. A lurching pain I'd never felt before.

"Ahhhh!" I cried out while curling into a ball.

"Say goodbye, stupid bitch!" Eve prepared for a striking blow.

I'm sorry. I'm sorry I couldn't protect you, Son, Tanya, Eric. I love you.

I closed my eyes, trying to block whatever she had planned, but instead, glass shattering and women grunting filled the room. I looked over to see Tanya and Eve fighting.

 "Tanya!" I joyfully cried.

"You wanna push me down a flight of stairs?!" Tanya screamed while throwing a vase at Eve, "You wanna attack my friend and try to kill her baby?!"

With a shout, I saw Tanya shove Eve by her shoulders, and she went flying through the glass window. I lay in shock and pain, unable to move. Silver flakes began to fill my vision as vertigo set in.

"Ivy! Ivy!" was the muffled cries I heard as I slipped into darkness
