Once upon a time there was a bunny.
Now, this was no ordinary bunny, this bunny was pink with long skinny arms and long skinny legs. This bunny had long floppy ears and I think that was how he got his name. His name was "Floppy Ears".
On spring evening, Floppy Ears and Sunshine Bunny were laying in their beds ready to go to sleep. Floppy Ears asked if she would tell them a story. She nodded, "Would you like to hear a story about the Easter Bunny?" Floppy Ears and Sunshine Bunny both shouted "YES!"
Their mom began the story:
Once upon a time, nestled in a cozy burrow beneath the swaying grasses of a lush meadow, there lived an extraordinary bunny named Floppy Ears. Floppy Ears was no ordinary rabbit; his soft pastel-pink fur shimmered in the sunlight, and his long slender arms and legs seemed to defy the very laws of nature. But what truly set Floppy Ears apart were his ears - oh, those ears! Long and elegant, they stretched out like silken ribbons, unfurling gracefully atop his head and flopping gently with each hop.
Floppy Ears led a simple life, spending his days exploring the meadow and nibbling on tender shoots of grass. The other animals of the meadow admired Floppy Ears, and his gentle, warm-hearted nature endeared him to all who crossed his path.
But as spring approached and the chill of winter finally began to wane, a mysterious whisper of excitement rippled through the meadow. The Easter Bunny was coming, and the animals could hardly contain their joy.
"Floppy Ears, have you ever met the Easter Bunny?" whispered his shy little sister, Sunshine Bunny as they sat beneath the oak tree, her body quivering with anticipation. "They say he's the most magical bunny of all!"
Floppy Ears' ears perked up at this, and he felt a stirring of curiosity deep within his heart. "No, I haven't," he admitted, a wistful note in his voice. "But I wonder, could this Easter Bunny be a relation of mine?"
And so, with a heart full of wonder and a spirit brimming with anticipation, Floppy Ears decided he would uncover the truth.
"Could I truly be related to the legendary Easter Bunny?" Floppy Ears wondered aloud, his floppy ears fluttering in the gentle spring breeze.
Easter morning dawned bright and clear, the sun casting its warm golden rays upon the meadow as the animals awoke with a sense of wonder and delight. The air was alive with the scents and sounds of spring, and the promise of new beginnings seemed to shimmer all around.
Floppy Ears, his heart thrumming with excitement, had spent the entire night pacing his burrow, his floppy ears twitching with anticipation. Today was the day he would finally meet the Easter Bunny and uncover the truth of their connection.
"And that is the end of the first part," mom said, "It's bedtime."
Please mommy, just a little more, they asked. Mom smiled, "Just a little more she said."
