Once upon a time there was a bunny.
Now, this was no ordinary bunny, this bunny was pink with long skinny arms and long skinny legs. This bunny had long floppy ears and I think that was how he got his name. His name was "Floppy Ears".
Floppy Ears was sitting in his window seat, staring out at the beautiful tree in their backyard. He loved watching the birds fly about, but today he noticed something special - a birds nest! He could see it clearly from his window, and he felt like he was getting a special peek into the birds' secret world.
As the days passed, Floppy Ears would gaze out at the nest every day, hoping to catch a glimpse of the birds. One day, he was thrilled to see a Robin perched on the nest, surrounded by three shiny blue eggs. He couldn't wait to tell his mom.
"Mom, Mom! Come see! The Robin is sitting on the eggs!" he exclaimed.
His mom came over to take a look and smiled. "Ah, yes! Those are definitely Robin eggs. If you watch them every day, you'll be able to see them hatch in about two weeks."
Floppy Ears was so excited. He decided to keep a journal of each day, writing down what he saw and what he learned. As the days went by, he watched as the eggs began to crack and little beaks poked out. Soon, three tiny Robins were chirping and flapping their wings.
Floppy Ears was enchanted by the new baby birds. He would sit for hours at his window, watching them grow and learn to fly. As the days went by, he noticed that they were getting bigger and more independent. But then, one day, they just disappeared.
Floppy Ears was heartbroken. He had grown so attached to those little birds. But his mom reassured him that it was just part of their journey.
"A few days ago, I saw three Robins gathering seeds on our lawn," she said. "I think they might have flown away to start their own adventures."
Floppy Ears' eyes widened as he looked out at the lawn. Sure enough, there were three Robins pecking at the seeds. He felt a sense of pride knowing that he had been a part of their journey, even if it was just for a little while.
As he watched the Robins disappear into the distance, Floppy Ears realized that he had learned something important. Watching those birds had taught him about patience, growth, and the cycle of life. And he knew that he would always treasure the memory of those little blue eggs and the tiny Robins that hatched from them.
The End.
