Once upon a time there was a bunny.
Now, this was no ordinary bunny, this bunny was pink with long skinny arms and long skinny legs. This bunny had long floppy ears and I think that was how he got his name. His name was "Floppy Ears".
Floppy Ears was lying on the grass, gazing up at the moon in all its glory. He loved staring at the moon, feeling the cool night breeze on his face, and listening to the crickets chirping in the distance.
Just as he was starting to drift off to sleep, his mom came out onto the lawn and sat down beside him. "Floppy Ears, do you know about the man on the moon?" she asked.
Floppy Ears shook his head. "No, I don't think so."
His mom smiled. "Well, some people say that there's a man living on the moon, all alone. He's very brave and can jump really high."
Floppy Ears' eyes widened. "Really? That's amazing!"
But then his mom added, "And some people also say that the moon is made out of cheese."
Floppy Ears' eyes grew even wider. "Cheese?!"
His mom nodded. "Yes, some folks believe that the moon is actually a giant wheel of cheese, just waiting for someone to come and slice it up."
Floppy Ears was thrilled. He had never heard such fantastical stories before. He asked his mom if these stories were true, and she just smiled.
"Well, Floppy Ears," she said, "I'm not sure if these stories are true or not. But I do know that when I was a little girl, my grandmother told me that she heard it from a cow who jumped over the moon."
Floppy Ears looked puzzled. "What does that mean?"
His mom chuckled. "It means that sometimes stories get passed down from one person to another, and they can get a little mixed up or exaggerated. But that's what makes them so fun to tell!"
Floppy Ears nodded slowly. He was still trying to wrap his head around the idea of a man living on the moon and a giant wheel of cheese orbiting the Earth. But as he looked up at the moon again, he felt a sense of wonder and excitement. He loved hearing stories about the moon and all its secrets.
As he drifted off to sleep, he couldn't help but wonder what other amazing stories his mom might have up her sleeve. And who knows? Maybe one day he'd find out the truth about the man on the moon and the cheese-filled moon...
The End.
