As they left, Susan threatened them. "If you ever bother my daughter again, I won't let it slide."
"Sorry, grandma. I apologize for involving you too. Don't worry, this won't happen again," Jenny said while holding her grandmother's arm.
"It's okay, dear. Leave that girl alone. If she bothers you again, just tell me, and I'll personally deal with them." They both laughed as they left the school.
The following day, Jenny quickly woke up and got ready to go to school. When she arrived, she coincidentally crossed paths with Chona at the school gate. Chona immediately closed the gate on her and laughed, saying, "You're late, stupid Jenny."
Suddenly, a gate opened, and a young man walked in quietly and went to his room. Jenny looked at him as he seemed new to her.
In the classroom, she saw the young man who had opened the gate sitting beside her, listening to music with his headphones on. The girls, including Chona, couldn't help but stare at him due to his strikingly handsome appearance. Chona was about to introduce herself to him when their instructor, Mrs. Roces, arrived.
"Okay, class, before we start, I know you're aware that we have a new latecomer student from Korea. That's why I need to introduce you all. Our new student is Mr. Jacob Bianchi Lee."
Jacob stood up, took a bow, and then sat down and removed his headphones.
"You seem very serious, Mr. Jacob. May I ask you some questions?" Mrs. Roces inquired.
"Yes, ma'am," Jacob replied shortly.
"How old are you and why did you transfer to our school?" Mrs. Roces asked Jacob. Everyone fell silent, waiting for Jacob's response.
"I'm 23 years of age, and I transferred here for a personal purpose. It's private, and I don't want to talk about it," Jacob said as he sat down. The instructor didn't respond, thinking it was indeed a matter of privacy. She began her lesson for the students, but Jenny still couldn't concentrate as she felt uneasy beside him. Unknowingly, she dropped her pen, which Jacob picked up and handed back to her.
"Jacob even picks things up... tsk," Chona whispered disdainfully to her classmate.
After Mrs. Roces' lesson, the bell rang, signaling lunch break. The students hurried to the canteen to find seats. Jenny ordered food and sat alone at a table.
Jacob lined up to order his food, and the girls let him go ahead. Unable to find a seat, he didn't respond to Chona's offer and instead sat at an empty table near Jenny. He glanced at her as she ate alone.
Chona got up and spilled a drink on Jenny's clothes, surprising everyone.
After eating, Jenny headed to the restroom to freshen up. Inside, she was surprised to see Chona enter, lock the door, and leave while laughing with friends.
"Are we not going to be reprimanded by the principal?" one of her friends asked.
"Of course not, the principal won't find out, right?" they laughed together.
As Jenny tried to leave the restroom, she realized the door was locked. Panic set in as the bell rang, signaling class time.
"Hello, is anyone out there? Please open the door... I'm locked inside," she called out, but no one seemed to hear her.
Fortunately, the men's restroom was adjacent, and Jacob happened to hear her cries for help as he entered. He approached and unlocked the door, allowing Jenny to exit.
"Thank you," she said breathlessly before rushing back to the classroom.
Upon entering the room, Jenny was teased by her classmates, particularly Chona, for looking exhausted.
Chona said, "You look haggard, Jenny," mocking her as they laughed at her.
Jacob entered the room and sat beside Jenny on the side.
Soon after, their professor, Mr. Vincent, arrived.
"Since this is our first meeting, I'm allowing you all to dismiss. However, as this is a music class, I invite you to join our organization where you can showcase your singing talents. If you're not interested, you can participate in another department to display your skills and passion. That's all for today, and in our next meeting, we will assign you to singing duos. Good luck, and don't forget what I said. Bye, class!"
The students cheered as the teacher dismissed them for the day and rushed outside to join school organizations.
Meanwhile, Jenny, Jacob, and Chona remained in the room, organizing their items on the desks. Chona approached Jacob and sat opposite him.
"Will I be your partner in the singing duo?" Chona asked as she adjusted her shoes.
Jacob looked at her and replied, "I already talked to my partner."
"But who is it?" Chona inquired.
"It's none of your business," he answered before placing his book in the side compartment of his desk.
Chona walked away, bumping into Jenny before leaving the room. Jenny gathered her bag and stood up to leave when Jacob suddenly spoke, causing her to stop.
"Miss..."
He approached her and said, "Let's be partners for the Music class..."
Jacob then exited the room, leaving Jenny in shock. endforeach
The scene ended with Jenny pondering why Jacob chose her as his partner in the music class duo, uncertain of how it would affect Chona.
Upon returning home, Jenny frantically searched for her grandmother, fearing something had happened to her. When her grandmother arrived, Jenny hugged her tightly, relieved that she was fine. Her grandmother explained she had been out running errands for Jenny's future.
"Where did you come from? I've been looking for you because you disappeared without even saying anything," she said, hugging Jenny tightly out of worry.
"I was just taking care of some things for your future," she answered while holding her granddaughter's cheeks.
"Let's eat now. How was your school day, my dear?" she added as she asked Jenny about her day at school.
"Come on, let's eat now. How was your school today?"
In the morning, Jenny woke up because of her alarm clock that was so loud, so she quickly got ready to head to school.
"Grandma, I'm leaving now," she said while giving her grandma a kiss in the living room.
"Don't forget to take your medicine," she added as a reminder while waiting for a ride to school.
