Opps, I said that aloud.
"You said something, loser Keana?"
"I was thinking about the outcome and became a little curious about what would happen when your mana runs out, so I just said that aloud."
He had been applauding and cheerful the entire time, but now I noticed that he appeared a little angry. I didn't understand why he would get upset over something so insignificant.
"I hate both of you but keana you can do it"
"well worst case we will either lose a loser or a womanizer."
Rika stated, gazing at me with a humorous expression.
Why do they act as though I have challenged him to something?
"Haha, Myoga, don't compare me to him. You know, if he wasn't here, I wouldn't even approach people like him."
He said this while smiling, but his face clearly indicated that he was upset.
I remained silent and allowed them to say whatever they wanted to say because I felt that saying anything more would put me in trouble.
"How are you going to deplete my mana? Are you going to fight me with your skinny body?"
"Haha, Nishida, it was only a joke. Why are you taking it so seriously?
"No, Tsurumi, I would never take someone like him seriously. It's just that every time he talks, it reminds me that there is another guy here, which makes me a little mad because I wanted to be alone with you girls."
"..."
With a disbelieving expression on their faces, the three girls fell silent.
Why is it taking them so long to bring our orders?
It took them a few extra minutes to bring our orders. The cake I ordered was named "chocolate strawberry shortcake" (I just ordered the same thing Rika ordered).
I turned away from the surroundings and concentrated solely on the cake. When I took the first bite, the cake instantly melted in my tongue, leaving a taste that I really enjoyed—sweet and slightly sour.
"Keana, how does it taste?"
"This cake tastes good, Tsurumi, but I think the cakes at the bakery near my house are better. Their cakes are so delicious that you will not even realize you have finished them. How about you come over to my house and we go to the bakery together?"
After the first bite, I couldn't able to stop myself from taking bite after bite until I finished it all.
I felt content after eating this cake, but I still craved for more.
I knew it was impossible, but I again had the urge to order everything on the menu.
"You finished it pretty quickly."
Said Nishida, who sat in front of me. I looked over their plates and saw that they only ate a bite or two of their cakes.
"Izumi, did you not mention that you dislike strawberries?"
"I like them now."
"...okay?"
"So, that was a pretty good movie."
So now I would have to watch them eat—why do I feel like there is a demon nearby?
"That was good."
"Yeah, way better than the recent Karvel films."
I turned to to face my right and noticed a woman sitting by herself on the seat next to us. For some reason, she was talking to herself while wearing clothing that covered her neck.
How difficult is it for humans to notice that? She is being taken over by a demon—wait when did she even get there? Wasn't the seat next to us empty only a moment ago?
Perhaps it was because I was preoccupied with my cake that I let my guard down.
Anyway, It's not like she poses a threat to me, even if the demon takes control of her and goes on a rampage; I have plans in place to escape that rampage unscathed.
"Stop talking!"
The woman seated at the table across from us yelled, grabbing the attention of everyone in the cake shop.
"Madam, is everything alright?"
questioned the server who was taking her order.
"Y-yes, everything is fine; I was just on a call—h-how about you bring me a coffee and a choco black forest?"
"Okay, ma'am, anything else?"
"Just this for now."
"what's wrong with her?"
With a glance at Tsurumi and the others, Rika questioned.
"One hundred percent it's a breakup."
"hey, don't say it like that, Myoga."
"Why would anyone break up with a bombshell like her?"
Her weak, grey aura and the fact that she is being overtaken by a demon make her seem more like a ticking time bomb that could explode at any moment.
"Great Nishida you are making me hate you more and more."
Why does the presence of that demon feel somewhat familiar, as though I have just recently met it?
"loser Keana"
I turned to face Nishida because I thought he was calling.
"Hm"
"You asked me to cover your expenses, correct? Go ask Hirawa out, and I will pay for whatever you order here."
"Hey, Pervshida, why not keep your offer to yourself. You don't have to pay attention to him, Izumi.
Rika gave me a worried glance, but I ignored it because Nishida's words were all that was on my mind.
He initially turned me down, which made it obvious that he was only paying for the other sex in order to draw them to him. However, now that he is making me the same offer, it appears from his words and the expression on his face that he has a different objective in mind.
"Haha, there's no way. Forget about asking her out on a date; most people struggle to start a normal conversation with her because she is so intimidating."
Intimidating? Possibly as a result of her higher aura.
You are aware that she is one of our school's most powerful blessed. If she wanted, she could have easily enrolled in demon hunting schools."
"Yeah, why did she choose our school? Our school is great, but if she wanted to be a demon hunter, she would have far better options than our school."
"So, all I have to do is ask her out on a date, nothing else."
"Huh, yeah, just that."
"You are not the type to backtrack on their words, right?"
"Haha, are you seriously considering asking her out?"
"You don't have to, Izumi; there is a reason everyone avoids talking to her—"
"It's fine, Keana. Don't act like his mom."
I got up from my chair and turned to face Rika, who appeared worried for some reason. I chose to ignore her and went over to the table where Hirawa was seated.
I had already planned to order everything on the menu, so my thoughts were focused on the variety of cakes I was going to consume.
I approached their table and positioned myself close to Hirawa, but it did not appear like they were aware of my presence. They were all staring at a small object with a small TV screen and a lot of buttons on it.
Hmm, I have seen this object several times now. I have seen Rika, mom, and a few other humans use this. They used this object to communicate with others, so it could be similar to the telephone that humans use to communicate.
Keana, what are you doing here?
The other girl called me by name, but I disregarded her since she was not Hirawa.
"You know him, Miki."
"He is one of my classmates."
"Uh, hey."
Seeing that her entire attention was focused on the object, I called Hirawa because I felt like I was wasting time.
"Oh sorry...do we know each other?"
She looked at me with a confused expression.
It appears that she was unfamiliar with the human that I possessed.
"Maybe"
"Oh wait, I saw you in Miki's class. Sorry, but I don't remember your name. So, um, you need something."
Maybe I should ask her for a bite of the delicious-looking cake that is on her table.
"How about you and I go on a date?"
"..."
"Keana, are you out of your mind? Maybe the beating you get at school is not enough."
"Haha, look at yourself, dude. Even a normal girl would be unwilling to go on a date with someone like you."
I ignored their conversation because it was completely irrelevant and waited for Hirawa to respond. However, Hirawa did nothing but stare at me with her eyes wide open, giving me the impression that she was confused by what I had said.
"Hirawa, how about we go on a date?"
I repeated myself, assuming she did not understand what I said the first time.
"Listen, Keana, leave or I'll really beat the shit out of you."
I stood there for a while, but Hirawa remained silent and just stared at me with her eyes wide open. The other two began to irritate me, so I left her table and began to move towards mine because, in Nishida's opinion, all I needed to do was ask her out, which I clearly did.
"What's wrong with that loser casually inviting her out like that"
