Chapter 29 - T City: Broken Bones

She grabbed my neck and pushed it so hard against the table that my face collided with it.

Ouch, Why did she do that?

"Kuku, You were a good time pass, but did you really think I would let you off the hook?"

She then pushed my neck back and smashed it against the table once more. The dishes on the table tipped over. This time, blood began to flow from my nose, possibly because I had broken it.

"Izu—mufh."

"Don't Keana."

The masked woman grabbed my shoulder and tilted my body, allowing me to see the expression on her face.

She had a huge smile on her face, making it appear as if she was enjoying the entire situation, but I was not because of the pain on my face.

She began to punch me in the face, but these punches felt real, unlike Rika's, which lacked force.

"Sigh, we really don't have time for this. But seeing that smartass get beaten is totally worth it."

"Yes, you are correct, but finish it quickly, private hunter; we don't have enough time."

"I really should stop this, but he clearly deserved it. Hey, you remember our agreement to not kill any customers?"

I had assumed that we would get along well, but perhaps not. This time, I planned to experience this human's entire life span, so I don't think I can die here.

I considered taking this fight seriously, but she moved closer to my ear and whispered something.

"I'm don't want anyone to suspect you. Rest assured, I won't kill you.

Oh, is all of this a performance? I don't understand why anyone would suspect me. However, if this makes me less suspicious, I am fine with it.

Just as she finished her sentence, she grabbed my t-shirt, threw me to the ground, and began kicking me.

"Kuku, you don't feel like fighting?"

I, Uff, know this is all an act, but I think she, Uff, is taking it very seriously.

"I think this is enough. We should leave now."

"Killing that guy could make you regret it later."

"Huh, why?"

Once more, the woman in the mask grabbed my t-shirt and made me stand up. As I was being forced to stand up, I noticed the Yasha human whispering something in one of the guys wearing the mask.

"You're quite skinny"

I am?

She made a fist with her left hand and punched me so hard that I thought I would throw up.

Hehe, I think I'm going to vomit.

Vomiting was a way for the human body to reject excess food. I was familiar with the vomiting process because I had done it several times due to overeating.

I just finished eating about eight cakes, which filled me up but did not cause me to throw up. However, her punch to my stomach served as a trigger.

I lowered my head to give the impression that I was losing control.

"Kuku, don't go unconscious with just one punch."

She cocked her head to look directly into my face.

Don't have all the fun by yourself, hehe.

"Hey, you okay? Just one more blow to your face and I'll leave."

*Blechhhh*

She ungrabbed my t-shirt, causing me to collapse on the floor.

"Hehe"

"Huh"

"This is getting real."

"Hey, private hunter, this is our final call. We have finished our work, so either you accompany us or we will part ways with you."

"You've really done it, Loser."

Her expression changed, and her aura became more unstable, indicating that she was more angry.

I am done with this act. Do anything to hurt me again, and you won't exist in this world.

"Sigh, I'm coming too! You are in luck because I don't feel like killing anymore today, but the next time we meet, you'll pay for what you did."

"You sti—sorry."

Perhaps with one of the masked guys' blessed ability, the three of them vanished from sight once more.

"Did they leave?

As for me, I clearly saw their aura and observed all of their movements. They approached the wall and went through it, exiting this bakery.

That was fun—Oww, except for this pain. She called it an act, but it broke a few of my bones.

The humans in the bakery began fleeing outside. When I saw them go, I attempted to get up off the ground, but then Rika leaped over me.

"What were you thinking? She could have killed you."

"Ow, can you give me some space? My body hurts."

"Izumi, you have a screw loose or something, sigh, you clearly saw Rika, it was not my fault."

Hmm, we know each other?

"Uncle"

Uncle?

"let's take him to the doctor. I don't want to infuriate my brother and father."

I was approached by the Yasha human, who I recently learned was my uncle, and he picked me up and carried me on his shoulders.

I can walk on my own, but it is okay here too.

After we left the bakery, the people in uniform asked us some questions, but my uncle spoke for the whole time and then he drove us to the hospital.

My wounds were bandaged when I arrived at the hospital, and the doctor advised me to lie down on the bed and take some rest.

"Rika, please wait here while I call brother to inform him about this mes—situation."

"Hmm"

Wait, don't leave me alone with her. She'll start crying again. What should I do now? I do not want to see anyone cry in front of me, especially when I am in such a good mood. Maybe I can pretend to be asleep.

She remained silent on our drive from the bakery to the hospital, and now that we are by ourselves, I can tell she is going to start crying.

"What were you even thinking? Sniff,"

She began to cry just as I had expected.

Since it was just the two of us, her sobbing voice filled the room.

She cried for a while, but all I did was pretend to sleep while waiting for help to arrive.

"Stop acting like you're asleep."

She knows, huh. I thought I was good at pretending.

"Well, I am currently asleep."

"Hah, see you're not"

Her teary eyes and a white liquid dripping from her nose were the first things I noticed when I opened my eyes. I gave up trying to look asleep and just sat on the bed since my plan failed.

She then continued.

"Why do you act so selfish all the time?"

Hmm, It's approaching her lips. Should I inform her?

"your nose."

"My nose—"

She glanced in my direction before hurriedly pulling a handkerchief out of her pocket and dabbing at her nose.

"Hmph, I wish they had broken a few of your bones."

That woman in the mask did, but they are healed because of my regeneration.

Rika approached me and wrapped her arms around me, squeezing me firmly.

"Why do you have to be so stupid all the time? You know how sacred I was when—"

The room was silent, making it easy to hear any other noises. Rika quickly moved away from me as soon as she heard the door open, as though something scared her.

"They are coming soon—Izumi because of you; Pops was upset with me for doing nothing but watching his grandchild get beaten. I mean I clearly glanced you not to—hmm, Rika something wrong?"
