Zain sighed, since he was already there he might as well just spit it out, he stared at Ava telling her the main reason he was there.
" There's an auction party going on this evening, would like to accompany me?." His face was straight and calm as he asked Ava to accompany him to the auction, his poker face showing no expressions as always. Ava's little heart jumped up with excitement, but of course she didn't show it that she was thrilled he chose her and not some other rich woman in his circle, Ava tilted her head with a slight smile... staring back at Zain.
" Are you asking me to be your date?." A playful smirk lingered on her lips.
" It's a different thing to be an escort and a date, I will see you in a couple of hours." He told her before walking away, Ava watched his straight graceful figure walk away. Her phone buzzed in her pocket, she took it out to see the caller ID.
Recognizing the number, a frown settled on her beautiful pale face.
" I asked you so many times not to call, Sonya, unless I call you." Ava spoke with a hint of coldness to her tone.
" I'm tired of hiding Ava, I'm out of cash... I'm sick of this little city I'm in and the people, can't I come to you?." Sonya spoke from the other end.
" No, stay where you are, I will send money now you hear, and avoid calling people any how, especially me...I don't want them to find you, I would lose it if anything happens to you." Ava said before disconnecting the call, she transferred some money into Sonya's account.
" Are you okay?." Trixie spoke behind her... seeing Ava all tensed up. Ava turned with a slight smile... sealing away the tension and worry hovering all over her face.
" Yes, just my aunt checking up on me like I'm a little kid." Ava said putting away her phone. " You have a lot of explaining to do little Missy, what happened last night?." Ava raised a brow. Trixie gave an awkward chuckle scratching her head.
" Well, what....do you think... happened?." Trixie pretended not knowing what Ava was talking about.
" Oh really, firstly, you never slept in the room last night, you were coming through that direction... and Lucas' room is that way." Ava said leaning in closer to Trixie before adding." You can't fool me Trixie, tell me the truth." Trixie laughed out being caught.
" Fine, you caught me, I did spend a night with Lucas...but, you gonna have to wait when Emma is here to hear about it." She told Ava.
" I'm down for it." Ava giggled, as they proceeded downstairs.
QINN ESTATE
Nick was addressing his men in the hall when a woman walked in on them.
" Honey!"
Nick dismissed his men turning to his fianceè, Tiana. As always, she dressed to impress... killing it in her tight short - long sleeve red dress, with black heels, her dark chocolate brown hair... matching her dark - fair skin.
" My love, I didn't know you were coming." Nick gave her a kiss.
" I wasn't planning to, but since our wedding is in a week's time, you and I could go through the planning together." Tiana walked towards the living room as Nick followed behind, he takes a seat along side her... drinks were served while lunch was being prepared.
" You know I'm good with whatever you choose and decide." Nick told her.
" Nick, I know you said you want something simple and a few people, but I want the opposite of that. Alec managed to get my father ( the president),.. the mayor, Ministers, and most importantly, Her Royal Majesty...the Queen of England, to attend his wedding last minute, you know why? Because he's loved and respected by everyone." Tiana told him. Nick released a stressful sigh... Pinching the skin between his brows.
" For goodness sake, Tiana, Alec's the favorite I get it, you don't have to remind me or anyone else gat damnit." He exploded.
" Nick, you do not talk to me like that." Tiana looked at Nick with concern in her dark eyes. Nick cupped her cheek apologizing and kissing her hand.
" Didn't mean to scream my love, I'm just sick of everything praising my cousin like some King, I just don't want you taking his side like everyone else." He told her.
" I have a wedding to plan, will see you this evening." Tiana gave him a kiss and left.
" Sir, your suit is here."
One of his men walked in, Nick gestured for it to be taken upstairs.
Laughter and splashing sounds filled the air as Emma, Ava, and Trixie lounged by the pool, soaking up the sun's warm rays. Alec stood at the patio door, watching them with a mixture of affection and unease. He was about to start a meeting with his colleagues in the backyard, but his attention kept drifting back to the trio.
As his employees began to arrive, Alec's gaze lingered on Emma, her bright smile and carefree laughter making his heart swell with pride. But when he noticed a few of his male colleagues sneaking glances at the pool, his expression turned stern.
" Alright, let's get started," Alec said gruffly, trying to refocus the group's attention on the meeting agenda. But he couldn't shake off the feeling of protectiveness, his eyes darting towards the Pool every few minutes.
Emma, oblivious to Alec's growing unease, continued to chat and giggle with Ava and Trixie, enjoying the warm summer afternoon. Meanwhile, Alec's colleagues exchanged curious glances, sensing their boss's tension.
As the meeting progressed, Alec's possessiveness simmered just below the surface, his mind wandering to ways to subtly shift the group's seating arrangement and block the view of the pool. He knew it was irrational, but he couldn't help feeling like he needed to shield Emma from prying eyes.
As the meeting drew to a close, Alec's colleagues began to disperse, casting grateful glances at the poolside trio, who were now lounging on beach chairs, soaking up the sun's warm rays. Emma, Ava , and Trixie chatted and laughed, their hair damp and tousled from their earlier pool antics.
Alec, still lingering near the patio door, watched with a hawk's eye as his employees departed. He couldn't help but notice how his colleagues gaze's lingered on the trio, their eyes roving over the women's sun-kissed skin and vibrant bikinis.
As the last of the guest left, Alec strode purposefully towards the pool, his eyes fixed on Emma. He cleared his throat, announcing his presence, and the trio turned to him with bright smiles.
" Hey, hon!" Emma said, beckoning him over." Come join us!"
Alec hesitated, his eyes scanning the surrounding area, ensuring they were truly alone. Satisfied, he strode over to Emma, dropping a possessive kiss on her forehead.
" You three having a good time?" He asked gruffly, his gaze sweeping Ava and Trixie, his eyes narrowing slightly. Trixie, sensing the undercurrent, exchanged an amused glance with Ava, who raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Alec's behavior. Emma, however, remained oblivious, smiling up at Alec with affection.
" The best time, hubby!" She replied, snuggling into his side.
As the sun began to dip, casting a warm orange glow over the backyard, Zain and Lucas strolled towards the pool, their conversation carrying across the water. Emma, sensing the arrival of new company, smiled brightly, waving them over. Trixie, however, was the first to react, her eyes locking onto Lucas with a spark of electricity, remembering last night's intense love making, she flashed him a sultry smile, and Lucas, ever the charmer, returned it with interest, his gaze lingering on her curves.
Ava, meanwhile, felt a flutter in her chest as Zain approached. She had been drawn to his quiet confidence and kind eyes from the moment they met. But as their gazes met, Zain's expression turned guarded, his smile polite but distant.
As Lucas settled into the chair beside Trixie, their legs touching, Ava tried to engage Zain in conversation but he remained evasive, his responses brief and courteous, without encouraging further discussion.
Alec, ever watchful, noticed the dynamics unfolding. Zain's reserve, while Emma seemed oblivious, chatting happily with the group.
Trixie, meanwhile, leaned in close to Lucas, their whispers and giggles growing more intimate by the minute. Ava tried to focus on the conversation, but her eyes kept drifting back to Zain, sensing a deep connection she couldn't quite reach.
