The first few days unfolded surprisingly uneventfully. The Luciano family seemed to have declared a temporary truce, leaving me to my own devices. But those two insufferable brats couldn't resist testing my patience.

Their childish pranks backfired spectacularly. I reversed their attempts with ease, sending them tumbling down the stairs and into the lake. Their shocked expressions still brought a smile to my face. The memory of their bedraggled forms, dripping wet and furious, remained etched in my mind.

When they tattled to the Marchioness, their mother expecting sympathy, they received a stern reprimand instead. "Don't bother me with such trivialities," she chastised. "Learn to handle your own affairs." The Marchioness's dismissal left them chastened, their tails between their legs.
