The suffocating darkness enveloped me, reviving my lifelong aversion to its oppressive shroud. Memories burst forth, filling the void within. A nagging sense of loss resurfaced, like a forgotten wound. Someone precious, someone dear, someone I shouldn't have forgotten. Yet, I had.

The memories that returned were cruel, tearing me apart with their razor-sharp clarity. I thought I'd buried them deep within, hidden from the light. But they persisted, haunting me with misery and despair.

"If only I could erase them forever..."

A gentle whisper pierced the void, a voice I'd recognize anywhere. "You'll be fine." My heart skipped a beat.

Though invisible, I knew she was my guiding light in the darkest abyss. I yearned to touch her once more, to hold her close. But my last memory of her was etched in blood, her lifeless body cradled in my arms.
