Synopsis
Emily had taken off her gown, and was bare before Charles. No piece of clothing was seen on her. "My family moved to a place I do not know." Her voice was faint, and it was almost like a whisper as she moved closer to him. He took a step backward, but his eyes went all over her body. "I want us to break the mate bond we have together." Her hands touched his chest. "It's important for me to break the bond." To him, breaking the mate bond wasn't the issue. The issue was in the method she wanted to use in breaking the bond. Of course he would have gone ahead with it as his eyes were too busy outlining her body. He was simply putting up an hesitation just so he wouldn't seem cheap to her. She poured a can of oil on her body, rubbing it all over her breasts, and down to the line between her legs. "Do we really need sex for this?" His curiosity led him to ask. "Yes." She nodded multiple times, sniffing him. "It's a different process of rejection." ******************************************** Emily could never count herself as a normal werewolf all because her inner wolf, who called herself Katie, had a consciousness that could make her exist alone. Katie was able to touch, and co-exist physically with her. One of Emily's major flaws was her inability to find a mate even after surpassing the normal mate finding age of eighteen to twenty four. Later on, she found Charles as her mate, but there was still an issue. Charles was already the mate to Raguel, the alpha of their pack, making it a bizarre occurrence between him and Emily. For that, he had left the pack, leaving her and Raguel behind. It was complicated that Charles and Emily's family weren't in the same world as her, and she needed to find them. Her dream had revealed him to have killed her mother, and her aim of getting revenge had to be through sex. How was she going to do that? Katie found a different mate for herself, and it was also the same day Emily finally found a mate. How were they going to adapt to these changes? Was Katie no longer part of her? Or could her rejection of Charles be the issue?

Chapter 1 - Dreams that reveals true events

"Isn't he her mate?" Cade asked.

His question wasn't to anyone in particular, maybe he already knew the answer to his question, and no one needed to answer it.

The sword Charles, the mate in question, was holding had passed through Linda's chest. Blood poured out to soak the gown she was wearing. The gown could not contain the rate the blood was flowing, and gradually, it allowed drops to the floor.

"She is dying off!" One of the children in the room screamed out.

"And there isn't a way to save her," Another of them said.

A few of them in the room had wet their eyes. The children did so out of horror, the adults? It was an effort to show concern.

Cade, Linda's husband, was more of a spectator. The shock mixed with the pain of seeing Linda's fall might be the reason for it. He was not the only one in the room that was in that condition, perhaps, all others had the same cause for it.

Linda was struggling, barely held by Charles' sword.

"After everything… I wonder why it had to turn… to turn out this way." She said with the little strength that was left in her mouth.

Cade's voice was low, almost like a whisper. "What does she mean by everything?"

    No one could answer him.

With the pain she felt, her last moment was used to look at one of her daughters, Emily.

Emily had climbed the stairs to present Charles as her mate, and everyone was already celebrating for her. It was normal for them to have so much joy because they were all aware that she had found it difficult to find her mate.

Bedside lamps were turned on and placed at the four corners of the room not considering it was an afternoon, and that bedside lamps were to be used close to a bed.

There wasn't a bed or chair in the room, and it made echoes of their voices to sound out like that of a hall. Apart from the bedside lamps, the other thing available was a small music player, enough for them to dance to music.

The dance was brought to an end when Charles, the person who had caused their joy, stabbed Linda with his sword.

"Isn't he the mate to Raguel?" Cade asked again, this time, pointing his finger at Charles, but looking at Emily.

She slowly nodded, steadying her eyes on Charles. It was bizarre for her found mate to already be the mate to the alpha of her pack.

    Cade was her father.

"You would know why I have to do this," Charles said, looking earnestly at everyone should they charge to attack him.

Most werewolves were known to growl at their last moment of death, but Linda did not.

When she was falling to the ground, it was Emily's growl that was heard, shaking the whole room, and pouring fear on Charles as though she was in a much higher rank than him. A much higher rank would mean the position of an alpha, but he was a beta, and greater than her.

The sound of her own growl woke her from sleep.

    It was all a dream.

In all that, Emily was simply acting.

She was in her dream world, and everyone her eyes could see were simply dream characters who were trying to reveal information to her. She was the only real person.

As a rule, she couldn't stop the flow, and was mainly playing the part she had to do so her dream characters would not notice. That did not mean she couldn't feel anything, the information her characters were trying to pass to her were revelations, things that may have happened in the past, or would happen in the future.

Linda's death in this dream was real.

Katie, in wolf form, was in a sitting position on the mattress. She was perhaps the wolf part of Emily, or something more than that.

"My mother is dead," Emily said her first words just after waking up.

Katie turned around to look at her, and saw the tears she had woken up with. It was already drying up to form a wet line on her face. The grin that was on Katie's face, for the night ecstasy Emily had, had turned sour in just a millisecond. "How is that?"

    "I saw it."

"But I didn't." She tried to argue.

"Because you weren't in my dream."

Katie looked at her, appearing to be in thought. "You haven't been able to see your family in years, how would you know that?"

"Because it's my dream." Her voice was firm.

    "Would you find them?"

Her eyes that were already drying up became a bit wet. "That has always been an issue." She let the tears flow out a little before wiping them off. "And you know it."

Katie stood up from the mattress she sat with her, and was holding a nail. "Maybe we should have a list of all the problems you need to solve."

    She nodded.

"It should look like a bio, how does that sound?"

Again, she nodded, and Katie began carving on the wall. They were inside a cave.

"You are twenty four, but don't have a mate." She turned her head from the wall to look at Emily. "Is that really a problem?"

    "Maybe, or maybe not."

"But you know the normal age to have a mate is eighteen."

    "Yes."

Katie was beginning to look like a school teacher, and it wasn't good in Emily's eyes for her to be outlining her problems on a wall.

    "You should stop."

    "Did you see the killer?"

    "Yes."

Linda's death was an issue, and they needed to find Charles.

Katie laid her hands on Emily's shoulders and turned invisible, taking a form in her head.

The relationship Katie had with Emily was unique. She was supposed to be her inner wolf meant to express emotions and to shape shift, but it went above that, how was it possible that she could discuss with her?

It was not just about the discussion, high ranking werewolves like alphas could speak to their inner wolf from their consciousness, but never in the physical realm. Emily was completely different, as her inner wolf, Katie, could take the form of an independent person, either as a wolf, or a girl. She always posed like a twin sister.

Emily didn't count herself as a normal werewolf because of all that, and no one had to know of it.

Her dream ability was also another aspect of her, making her stay conscious during a dream.

    She had a creepy nature.

Charles had stabbed Linda with a sword, and no one had lifted a finger to fight against him, not even Cade.

Their actions formed a base of confusion.

After all these, the busy act of last night was still a topic, as the male, Allerio, whom she had felt the night pleasure from was lying beside her.

    "You made me do it."

She was referring to Katie, and how she felt used doing her bidding.

As of now, Allerio's scent was just like any other male, it wasn't like last night when Katie couldn't resist the urge to drool over a male.

She had left the pack hall to stroll home together with him. Katie saw it as an opportunity, and wouldn't stop creating imaginary scenes of Allerio on her bed, passing all her urges to her, and claiming she needed sexual satisfaction to stay sane in the other world. What could she do?

Katie was a part of her, and if she wasn't okay, it always affected her. And so, Katie's lust became hers.

But how was she supposed to satisfy this lust?

She had abruptly stopped in her tracks. Allerio's scent was beginning to appeal so much to her that all she wanted was him. She sat down on the ground that the grass had made more of a carpet, and he had become worried for her.

"Are you okay?" He knelt down, touching her face the same way he would touch an egg. "It's cold out here."

It was a muffled cry he heard.

"I can carry you home." He placed his hand on her shoulders as he made his offer.

She shook her head slowly. "Over there." Her finger was pointing to her left side, a path that had more grass along its path. "I should go to my cave to rest."

She had a cave? He never knew of that.

Anything for Emily. He didn't think much about it, but carried her into his arms, walking the path she had shown him. Anything for her.

Her left hand went for his neck as she gave him a faint but consistent look. He couldn't have noticed, for all his focus was to get to the cave.

What if it was farther a distance from the actual route to her home? It wasn't in his thoughts. She rubbed her fingers all over his neck, keeping a sick face but a curious look.

"Could you satisfy me?" She asked him halfway to the cave.
