Chapter 4 - Charles is an obsession II

Katie dragged Emily out of Raguel's bed, she was going to need her help in taking them home, she and her. And then, she might go to her other world to meet the man she claimed she had interest in.

Emily fell to the ground after Katie's first attempt to make her stand on her feet.

"I wonder why she tasted of the wine," Katie said.

Her frustration had come to a spotlight.

She kneeled to the ground beside Emily. "Maybe this would do."

    She bit her ear.

"Ahh…" Emily's hand was petting her ear. "Must it come to this?"

Emily managed to sit on the bed, but the drowsiness still showed in her eyes.

"You of all people should understand I drank from the same wine you poisoned."

"No, it was a sleeping substance, not poison."

Emily tried to clean her eyes with her palm. "It's your fault, if you had not added anything to it, we would have been gone by now. "

    Katie could not argue that.

"You plan to find a mate for us?" Katie asked.

    "With all pleasure."

The last words she had said before drinking from the wine had got Katie off balance, how was it that she was trying so hard to find a mate for them? But then, she realized she was still Emily, and whatever she felt was also felt by her.

It was a real hook holding them together, Emily as the main person, and she as the inner wolf who was more sensitive to emotional feelings.

Katie got out of physical view.

Emily tried to wake Raguel to inform her that she was leaving, but she raised her head up a little. Emily wasn't sure she could see her.

"Oh…" she was still sleeping. "I would have been better if I hadn't tasted the feeling of having a mate."

"I had." Emily whispered to herself.

When she got up from the bed, Raguel spread herself to cover the space she had occupied. Her legs were apart, and her knees slightly raised up to form an angle.

"Oh Charles… the way you make me feel… is purely of heavenly standards." Her voice sounded loud, and the workers outside the room might have heard it.

Emily wanted to hold her mouth closed, but thought against it. Was Raguel like her? She couldn't be, Emily had a strong conviction. Never would someone who could harness dream consciousness spill the events while going through it.

"We should be gone, Allerio is outside." Katie said from her head.

    "Uh?"

"He's waiting for you!" Katie almost shouted out.

    How was that?

She rushed out of the room, and passed by the maids who were standing by Raguel's door. Their expression changed when they saw her, and each of them tried to portray an act to show that they weren't focused on the door post, except it being part of their work.

"Is she okay?" One of the maids asked, and the others tried to avoid the scene of Emily getting angry.

They had some amount of respect for her. The alpha's friend who could go into her room, and even have a nap on her bed.

She stepped forward a little, closer to the maid, but made her move her steps backwards. "What did you hear?"

The girl was already shaking visibly, and almost confirming what the other maids had expected. "I never knew she had a mate."

'Oh, she is new to the pack,' Emily thought.

"Stop peeking at her." That was the only thing she could say. "Your name?"

    "Euphoria."

She wore the strangest of smiles, placing both of her hands on Euphoria's shoulders. "Take care of your alpha."

And then, she turned around to leave.

"What about the other person?" Euphoria called her attention.

    "The other person?"

"Yes… I thought three people were inside the room."

Her face twitched a Little. "It was just her and me."

Outside, she saw Allerio on the back of a horse, simply moving about a fixed distance, a few steps far from where she was standing. She was looking at him, wondering if their friendship would still continue.

He had his back facing 'the alpha's place', and had not seen her.

    "Allerio!"

He turned around at the sound of her voice. When his eyes met her face, he rode the horse a bit too slow as though he was carrying its weight. On normal days, each time she was chanced to see him riding, she would walk from where she was standing to meet up with him. This time wasn't the same, her feet were pinned to the ground. He could take all the time he wanted.

"I decided to come, figured out you would need a ride."

    "Oh."

On the other hand, she wanted to decline his offer because of the feeling of awkwardness she felt was between them. She didn't know if he had the same feeling, but riding on the horse was far much better than walking on foot, especially with the sun coming out of the clouds to make the day an afternoon.

    She climbed onto the horse.

He wanted to initiate a conversation with her, but decided to go along with her quietness. Time was all she needed to adjust.

"Take me to that cave of mine." She said, leaning her breasts on his back.

    "Yes ma'am."

At the entrance to the cave, they came down from the horse. Inside, the mattress was still the same way Emily had left it. His underwear was on it, making her flushed a bit. It was obvious he had worn just his trousers without his underwear.

"Stay here." Her hands gestured to him.

    "You're going somewhere else?"

His question was answered when she opened something like a portal on the floor of the cave. The scent that came out almost made him transform into half a wolf.

"Want to join me inside?" She winked at him, taking the steps that led downwards.

The feeling of awkwardness had obviously died in just a few minutes.

Taking more of the scent through his nostrils, he took his first step. "I'm right behind you."

The sight unfolded itself before him. It was a house, a house beneath a cave, a luxurious one at that, and a huge surprise for him.

He walked too fast, faster than Emily who was in front of him, and almost tripped from the stairs when he collided with her, the front side of his trousers hitting her butt.

He held her upper arms to hold himself from falling. "Sorry."

His front side was still attached to her.

She moved her butt backwards against him. "Give me some space."

He slightly raised his hands in resignation. "Yeah."

The walls of the room had pictures, they were framed and placed on each side. The first one Emily looked at was the picture of her friend, the one whom she had taken to be her best friend, Ellen.

The picture that was placed on the floor below hers was the picture of Gardener, whom Ellen had always wanted as her mate.

Both of them weren't in Emily's reach. It pained her for Ellen, and partly for Gardener. Everything fell back to Ellen, even their names had the same first initials, "E".

Allerio placed his hands on her, she had spent an insane amount of time looking at the first picture. There were still more pictures he was sure would get her thinking again and again.

She turned around to look at him. His hands were too close to her breasts, and she felt them moving past boundaries to touch them. She pretended not to notice his touch, but then, her eyes fell on another picture that caused a spin to her mind.

It was a picture of Charles and Ellen in a kiss!

The picture had almost knocked her off, but Allerio held her in position.

"Do you see that?" She was pointing at the picture.

He was confused, Ellen's face was not familiar to him, and he barely knew anything about Charles.

"She was the only one who knew Charles was my mate."
