Chapter 54 - Chapter Fifty Four

~Neptune's Request~

"What happened, Neev dear?" Queen Diantha couldn't help but ask.

"Actually, Rialorna that elf princess pushed me into the flowing river buy with my unknown water powers, I survived and ended up in Neptune's kingdom. Princess Neriah was there to save me" Neriah explained briefly and snappily.

"That elf, I never knew she was so heartless" Queen Diantha frowned.

"No worries mother, Rialorna had been taken cared of" Dionysios chipped in and the Queen nodded.

"Right, where's Lansel?" Queen Diantha asked, gazing at Dionysios. Dionysios only smiled and pointed at the door, Neriah and Lansel walked in.

Lansel's gaze instantly fell on that one ethereal beauty and suddenly, his heart rejoiced seeing her just standing there, smiling.

He slowly strode towards her, his eyes never leaving Niamh as if she'll disappear once he look away. He finally stood in front of her, his aura, gaze and expression instantly turned extremely calm. All the daggers and ancient glaciers were replaced by a blank calmness.

Niamh let out a small smile and bowed "greetings, Your Serene Highness, Prince Lansel" her soft voice was heard and Lansel unexpectedly smiled, a truly genuine smile. His smile left those in the hall breathless. Like seeing the prince smile, prince LANSEL to be precise, smiling is an extremely rare happening.

"Did you see that?" Lord Nero's eyes were bulging out of their sockets.

"He...he... smiled" lady Itzel exclaimed. Neriah and Dionysios stared at each other, smiling mischievously while Neptune stated calmly at them.

They all gasped when Lansel pulled Niamh into a hug and his next word left them frozen.

"Neev, I missed you and I'm SORRY I wasn't there earlier" Lansel felt a little weird when he said the word 'sorry'. This word was never in his dictionary and in his entire life, he'd never, I mean EVER apologized to someone but he just did, right in front of his family.

The atmosphere of the courtroom became extremely tensed and awkward while Niamh couldn't help but to blush hard. She hid her face on Lansel's chest. Queen Diantha had r cough awkwardly before they disentangled.

"Lansel, you've never said that word before" Queen Diantha acknowledged.

"It wasn't hard to say, I discovered. She's a exception" Lansel replied, taking Neev's hand.

"And you Neriah, I'll give you a reward for being there for her. I never thought you'll be so brave to overthrow Damien" Lansel said to Neriah who smiled happily.

"Right, Neptune also deserve some reward. State what you want, sea god" Queen Diantha stated and Neriah subconsciously gasped. Neptune smiled mischievously and took a step forward.

"Your Grace, I only be of help when I can but I'm glad the Queen wants to reward me. However, my request is a special one" Neptune stated and briefly stared at Neriah before returning his gaze back at the Queen.

Somehow, Neriah's heart was thumping hard. She had a feeling Neptune would ask for something related to her.

"State it"

A brief silence took over, all waiting for Neptune's request. "I request Her Grace for Neriah's hand to be my wife and giddy. I'll be grateful if my request is granted" Neptune stated.

Neriah's heart was about to explode from it's rib cage as she listened to Neptune's request. Like she'd never imagined of something like this.

In fact, even her wildest imaginations couldn't come up with such idea like this one. Neptune is asking too much! This is surreal!!!

The Queen gaped at his request and slowly turned her gaze to Neriah, whose cheeks were like cooked shrimps.

"Neriah? What do you say?"
