Chapter 35 - Chapter Thirty Five

~Playing with her heart~

Prince Lansel's mind suddenly drifted to just one person. That particular lady with silver eyes. That feeling of worry came back and he suddenly wondered if she's alright. Without thinking twice, he teleported to her room.

There she is, lost in her own world. She sprang her feet when she sensed a presence. Lansel's sea green eyes twinkled like the northern lights. Steadily and slowly, he strode towards her.

Every step he takes, Neev felt her heart beat accelerating. By the time he was standing in front of her, her heart was about to escape from it's rib cage.

"Are you alright?" Lansel's calm and deep voice rang into her ears and she nodded instantly.

"Nothing happened?" He asked again and Neev couldn't help but to look up at him. Her silver eyes locked into his sea green ones. She doesn't know why he's asking all these and his expression is too tricky for her to figure out.

Is he worried about her?

Lansel felt drawn into her silver eyes. It's like a pair of transparent silver glasses. He can see nothing but his reflection. But with the way Neev stared at him, it's like she's sucking up the world around them. Her gaze was magnetic and piercing as it pierced through Lansel's soul.

After what seems like eternity, Lansel was able to break the chains and get away from her piercing gaze.

"I was busy, I had some things taken cared of. I'm glad you're alright"

Niamh breathed out and nodded "you could have taken some rest instead of coming here"

"Not when I haven't seen you all day" Lansel's reply made her heart palpitate.

'Prince Lansel, you're unknowingly playing with her heart!'

Lansel was suddenly amused by her expression. Like she was really blushing!

His lips curved up into what we call a mischievous smirk and his hands went to her hair, ruffling it.

"Take some rest before supper" he pinched her nose and Niamh puffed her cheeks in negation. She looks extremely cute while doing that, that Lansel found it really amusing to watch as he let out a throaty chuckle.

"No?" He asked.

"I was indoors for the whole day. I'm bored" Niamh replied.

Lansel smirked again, his hand went to her hair, arranging it softly. His slender fingers travelled form the crown of her head to the tip, feeling the smooth and soft texture of her hair.

"Silver cat" he mumbled, his gaze was calm as a green ocean with no waves and storms.

"I'm not a cat!" She fired with a pout and Lansel chuckled again.

"You're as cute as a cat, silver cat" he pinched her nose and again, Niamh's heart...

"I'm going out" she announced with a sudden authority and finality in her voice.

"I'm taking you out when I freshen up. Make sure you wait for me" Lansel stated and she slowly nodded, almost reluctantly.

When Lansel left, Neev heaved a deep breath and went to the window. Almost immediately, she sensed a presence and she turned.

What! Lansel is back in a matter of milliseconds!! How the hell did he do that?!

He was wearing a grey robe with intricate silver embroideries that adorned the edges, his hands were behind his back and his raven black hair was left to fall freely on his back. A smirk was lingering on his lips.

Niamh gaped at his gorgeousness, even at night, he looked oh... handsome. And his scent, it's enough to wreak havoc inside her heart.

Lansel smirked satisfactorily watching her gaping at him and he waved the strand of hair that was covering his left eye as if he was posing for a picture.

His action only made Neev breathless and her heart, which was calm just a while ago accelerated in the matter of milliseconds.

'Prince Lansel, you're unknowingly playing with her heart again!!'

"Can we go now?" He broke through her thoughts and her cheeks flushed in embarrassment.

Lansel smirked and teleported with her to the rooftop of his manor.

His manor is located in the East wing to have a proper view of the sunset and twilight.

Neev gasped as she looked around. Standing on a rooftop, she felt like she's standing on top of the world.

And then, the sun is setting...
