Chapter 19 - Chapter Nineteen

~See Through You~

Prince Lansel appeared in his chamber just to meet princess Rialorna of Elvkinles, the Elven Realm. Her bright pink hair shine together with her brown eyes as she smiled and curtsied.

"My prince"

Prince Lansel stared at her from head to toe and huffed.

"Get out" his voice was firm and low which made Rialorna tense up. A sudden cold aura was emanating from him that made her shudder. The prince is her close friend, he never acted this way towards her. He was known to always act calm and indifferent whenever he's with her, but he never yelled at her.

"Don't make me repeat myself. I will hurt you!" His voice was a little loud as his piercing gaze bored into her soul. Rialorna flinched by the sudden resentment in his voice. She huffed and walked out of the room.

He's angry, he need to be left alone. Maybe she understood, or maybe not.

Prince Lansel walked passed princess Rialorna, who was standing in the hallway with misty eyes. He passed as if she was some sort of invisible insect and headed towards the guest house.

"Sulk all you want, the prince is in a bad mood. Better not get on his nerves" Severus appeared by Rialorna's side.

"What...what happened?" She asked softly.

"A misunderstanding with his mother. Foreigners are not allowed to know" Severus said and walked away.

Rialorna bit the inner part of her lower lip and took her heels.

Prince Lansel met Lord Nero, his cousin at the courtyard, smiling mischievously.

"Not in the mood, Nero" Lansel shove passed him. Nero stared blankly at him and shrugged.

'What's with him?'

Princess Rialorna unexpectedly bumped into Nero and she frowned. Nero's eyes glinted in amusement.

"The little elf is here" he bowed dramatically.

"Why must I bump into you, notorious jerk" princess Rialorna snapped and Nero chuckled.

"It's Fate" he replied, spreading his arms in a dramatic way, his action only made Rialorna fume.

"I don't have your time" she hissed and ran after Lansel. She was actually secretly following him.

"You'll die liking my cousin!" Nero yelled.

Meanwhile at the guest house, Niamh was quitely sitting, reading 'Duchess of Ice'. Earlier on when the maids asked her if she'll go out and have a tour, round the palace, she blatantly rejected. Saying she is not ready to go out of her room, meet some unwanted personnels and cause trouble. Literally, she's afraid to meet the Queen mother. What if she saw her and was displeased she's here?

Well, the Queen Mother is already displeased with her presence in the Moon Realm, though she haven't seen her face to face.

The door opened, revealing the angry Lansel and she stood up and shot him her best bewitching smile. Lansel's gaze and expression softened at once. His anger and rage flew away the moment she shot him that smile. The tempests in his sea green eyes was replaced by a calm and still green sea.

He, himself was surprised on how her smile affected him greatly. Maybe she has powers to wash away one's anger.

Niamh curtsied as Lansel strode towards her.

"You're reading?" He asked and she straightened herself, nodding.

Staring at his face, she frowned. "Your left cheek is red, are you hurt?" She pointed, worriedly.

Lansel stared at her, weirdly. That single slap form his mother didn't have any effect on him, so how the hell did she noticed it?

"Please sit" she dragged him to the bed and made him sit.

"You're really hurt, what's wrong?" She asked, overly worried as she rubbed his cheek. Lansel's lips curved up, forming a smirk. She really looked cute while worried.

Also, no other lady is allowed to touch him except his mother and sister, but here's Neev worried sick about him.

""You're worried?" He asked and she frowned, straightening herself.

Lansel caught his lower lip in between his perfect pearly white teeth to stop himself from chuckling.

"I wasn't, don't feel too big!" Neevturned scarlet in embarrassment as she said that.

"I only noticed a slight red mark there" she pointed.

"How so?" Lansel tilted his head and narrowed his gaze, staring at her through his indescribably dark, thick long lashes and Niamh quickly lowered her head, she won't let herself get drowned by his looks, his captivating and magnetic sea green eyes that would pull her to the deepest part of the sea and get her drowned so she'll be unable to break the eye contact, to be precise.

"Let's say I can see through you"

"Do you have such power?" He asked, his voice was serene reflecting the gentle waters, undisturbed by ripples of courtly chaos.

"I feel my powers are quite better than the other weak supernaturals"

Lansel breathed out and scrutinized her. He missed not seeing her in the first place and discovered how beautiful she looked, dressed as a noble lady. Niamh felt his burning gaze on her skin that made her twitch nervously.

"Styles of the Moon Realm fits you perfectly" he complimented, though his compliment was not straightforward and blatant, Niamh could feel her cheeks heating up.

Princess Rialorna followed Lansel to the guest house and saw him entering Niamh's room, making her wonder who could be staying there. She badly wanted to go and check it out but scared the prince would see her so, she just stayed behind a pillar in the hallway.

"Eavesdropping?" Someone spoke behind her and she flinched. She turned to see princess Neriah, smirking.

"P...p... princess" Rialorna stuttered and curtsied. Princess Neriah shook her head and walked away but paused and turned midway.

"All those who like my first brother get hurt at the end"
