~Fiancee~
"Perhaps I should call you Damsel" Niamh smirked teasingly and Lansel frowned.
Niamh chuckled at his reaction and shrugged "Just kidding, I won't"
"By the way, if I may ask My Prince, who was the man that left just a while ago?" Niamh suddenly asked, she seemed really curious about that calm man she named 'Jailen'.
Lansel tilted his head and narrowed his gaze. His action only made Niamh's heart skip a beat and she quickly looked away. Huh? Why was that?
"What? You seemed suddenly interested in him?" He didn't forget to tease her.
"What! No! I am not interested in him. I was just amazed with his demeanor, his eyes and expression. He was so calm, serene and tranquil" Niamh stated, truthfully. Well, that didn't go well to her listener coz she didn't notice the slightly piercing gaze that was coming from Lansel. Wait, was he jealous?
"I think you've never seen me become so calm and tranquil. He is nothing compared to me" and now, Lansel was boasting! He was showing off!
Niamh's jaws dropped, she couldn't even find the right words to say. She just stood there, gaping at his calmness. As he said, his calmness was much more different than that man's. Lansel's own was unique and extremely admirable.
"You still didn't tell me who he was" Niamh pointed. Lansel shrugged and walked passed her.
"He's my little brother, prince Dionysios"
"Your Serene Highness" a knock came at the door.
"I'll be back at night. I have some matters to take care of"
Niamh bowed and watched him leave.
Not too long when the prince left, Rialorna walked in. She was shocked to see an eye catching lady, staring out the window. Niamh turned when she sensed a presence.
Rialorna quickly strode towards her to have a close view. Her face turned ugly in jealousy as she discovered how beautiful Neev is. Niamh on the other hand stared back at Rialorna. Her eyes caught her long pointy ears and delicate skin and concluded that she's an elf.
"You must be an elf princess" it sounded more like a statement than a question.
Rialorna smiled proudly. "Sure, princess Rialorna of Elvkinles and Prince Lansel's fiancee" she swayed her hair backwards. Niamh felt her heart skipping a beat as she heard the word 'fiancee'. Does that mean the prince is engaged?
"You must be quite thrilled about the sudden information. Has the prince never told you that?" Rialorna smirked. Niamh forced out an awkward smile and nodded.
"Now you know your place or the prince's fiancee won't take it lightly on you" Rialorna warned in a friendly tone and sarcastic smile.
Niamh nodded slowly and watched her leave.
Dionysios and the two guards bowed in front of the Queen.
"Where is she?" Queen Diantha asked .
"Your Grace, I learnt that the lady passed out. She didn't intentionally plan to hurt anyone, she just didn't Master her powers. The guard was mistaken" Dionysios explained, it wasn't completely a lie nor was it completely true.
The two guards exchanged looks and gulped down nothing.
"I apologise, Your Grace"
"I was wrong"
Queen Diantha pinched the area between her brows and sighed. "go already!"
Prince Lansel walked into his study with Marius and Severus.
"And the alliances?" Lansel asked.
"Twenty thousand soldiers were trained to fight with their lives. Half of them is enough to bring down a country" Marius explained professionally. That's Marius for you, he's the greatest warrior of the Moon Realm, that got him the name 'God of War'. Lansel smirked satisfactorily.
"Would there be a war, Your Highness?" Severus asked, curiously.
"Just in case Damien made a move" Lansel shrugged.
"Now the Calm Region?"
"My minions are still sharing foodstuffs and a bag of gold coins for each household. Double to business men and triple to Farmers. Severus replied snappily.
"I heard the people in the Calm Region are praising you already. My prince is great" Severus added and Lansel smirked.
Late at night...
It's very late but Niamh refused to sleep. She insisted to wait for prince Lansel since he promised to come at night. She's so bored that needed someone to keep her company even at night. When her was fed up waiting for him, she wore her long grey coloured cloak since it's cold outside and left her room.
Lansel was still busy in his study, handling Somme affairs when Rialorna walked in, smiling sheepishly.
"Get some rest, you've been working all day long" Rialorna said, striding towards him. Lansel closed the book and stood up.
"Could you accompany me to my room, please" she asked, politely. Lansel rolled his eyes and walked out of the study. She jumped in excitement and trailed behind him.
...
The duo appeared in the dim hallway at the guest house, heading to Rialorna's room which was right beside Neev's.
"I really missed your company these days" Rialorna stated while Lansel scoffed.
"Oh I'm really sad we're here" she added, stumping her feet childishly. Lansel just rolled his eyes and scoffed.
"Get in" he urged.
"I am not done staring at you" Rialorna pursed her lips.
Lansel glared at her and leaned down closer to her ear and whispered
"Don't cross the line Ria, we're only friends"
That same moment, Niamh walked out of her room but froze instantly. She gasped and palmed her mouth, seeing the position they are in.
