~Distracted Mr Angel~
"I promise I'll kill that dirt" Queen Diantha gritted, clenching and unclenching her fist.
"Calm down for once mother!" Dionysios snapped tiredly.
"I can't, Dennis. The throne is empty. There are power thirsty people everywhere. We don't have much time. We are in a dangerous predicament and only Lansel and his goddess would save us!" Queen Diantha was quick to relent.
"And now, he got his eyes on a lowlife being" she gritted, walking to and fro, restlessly.
"You only wanted Brother Lansel to find his goddess but you were never specific about her being a lowlife or not" Dionysios stated thoughtfully.
"That being can never be a goddess!"
"What if she really turned out to be a goddess?" Dionysios asked, crossing his arms in his chest and Queen Diantha remained shut.
"Right we can confirm if she's the goddess or not. Once we confirm that, we'll decide if she's to stay or to be killed" Dionysios suggested, his voice was calm as usual and Queen Diantha nodded thoughtfully.
"How so?"
Someone was invisibly eavesdropping and disappeared after gathering the useful informations.
NIGHT
Severus and Marius were silently walking in the hallway when they sighted princess Neriah and two of her cousins; Lady Icelyn and Lady Cheyenne. They both bowed until the trio walked pass them.
"Why does she remind me of her?" Severus mumbled a question and Marius have him a quizzical stare but said nothing.
"Lady Cheyenne reminds me of Lady Neev's sister, Awn-yah. They got identical black hair and eyes" Severus answered his unasked question.
"Strangely, I miss her company. She's adorable and really fun" Severus stated dreamily and Marius only scoffed.
"I wonder when shadow guards started falling in love"
"What! No! Not every man is like you. Cold and stern, didn't mind anything unless killing and protecting the prince. That's not how every man is. I wonder how hard you tried to shut down your heart" Severus was quick to point out.
"I never shut down my damn heart. I was born this way. No loving, only spilling out the blood of my enemies" Marius' eyes glinted as he said that.
"That's not true. No one is born that way" Severus argued. Marius scoffed and the duo sat on a rock, near the Mild Isle and threw pebbles into the lake.
Marius suddenly recalled a certain night with Aoife. He was sitting on a rock facing the lake in the Calm Region, just like tonight when Aoife came and sat beside him. She was like
"Can't you at least look at me and tell me your name?"
"Should I just call you Mr Angel?"
"Is it because I couldn't purify that plant you have me?"
She kept asking but Marius ignored her. She sighed and stood up.
"Hear me out Mr Angel, I'll keep following you until you finally give up and reply me" she said and left. Unfortunately, Ee-fah didn't notice her pearly white bracelet that fell in front of Marius as she walked away.
Marius bent down and picked up the bracelet. He turned to see if Ee-fah is somewhere close but she was long gone, not like he's gonna follow her and give her the bracelet.
He sighed and gazed at the bracelet. His mind was contemplating whether to keep the bracelet or not. After a lot, the right side of his mind overpowered the left side and he kept the bracelet.
Since then, he haven't met Aoife until he left for the Moon Realm.
Severus had been talking for a while now, telling Marius about the fun him and Awn-yah had while they were in the Calm Region but Marius seemed to be lost in his own world, he was gone, totally out of this world. Severus' jaw dropped, Marius never got carried away so easily, what suddenly distracted him? Is he even listening to him?
"Goodness, distracted Mr Angel" Severus commented and Marius snapped back to reality, hiding the bracelet.
"Whose bracelet is this? Who are you thinking of?" Severus asked, poking his shoulder.
"Darn it! Get out of my mind" Marius slapped his forehead, cursing underneath his breath.
Severus stared weirdly at him but suddenly got the message
"If she's in your mind, you can never forget about her"
Niamh sighed tiredly. She's so bored reading all day and she won't agree to take a walk to take away her boredom.
"You kept saying you're fine in here but you isolated yourself. You're bored, M'lady" Ophelia stated in a concerned tone. Niamh shook her head stubbornly, she really don't want to see the Queen mother, at least not yet.
Just then, the door opened and princess Neriah walked in. All eyes turned to her as Ophelia and Kieran bowed instantly while Neev stood there, rooted. Neriah's blue eyes glinted as it ran into a pair of gorgeous silver ones. The atmosphere became tensed.
