Chapter 16 - Chapter Sixteen

~Odd Supernatural~

Prince lansel, Niamh, Marius and Severus appeared in the Lansel's courtyard. Niamh gasped, looking around. Everywhere was dazzling with colourful lights. The night was lively and charming.

"Escort her to the guest house. The best room there should be hers" Lansel urged.

"Ay, Your Highness" Marius bowed.

"Feel free and refresh. Let me know if you need anything. I'll come see you" Lansel said to Neev and she slowly nodded. She left with Marius afterwards.

"May I know what has happened? You look off, Your Highness" Severus asked with a slight bow.

"That Vladimir of a guy turned out to be Damien" Lansel spat out and Severus stared at him, shocked.

"He's after Neev. Vladimir and her father are under his custody" he added and Severus went mute to digest the sudden information.

"Does that mean Lady Neev isn't the Moon goddess?" He asked and Lansel let out a deep exasperated sigh.

"I haven't confirmed that yet. I have searched the whole of Calm Region except Neev. I don't know how I forgot to test her and I don't know if she can purify it or not"

"And also, I think she's an odd one, somehow special" Lansel added, looking away as if he was thinking of something while Severus stared at him in total confusion.

Lansel fixed his gaze back to Severus

"She's unlike a weak supernatural. She has powers that she's yet to discover. I found out when she killed the beast at the Mist Forest"

Severus' eyes widened

"How mysterious"

~~~
"Here's your room, Lady Neev" Marius gestured her in. Nimah stared at the room in disbelief. The room was large, royal and grandeur. Absolutely magnificent. The beddings and furnitures were all done in deep crimson, golden and some shades of royal blue- colours which represent the Moon Realm. Everything screamed luxurious. She'd heard how large and beautiful the royal palace is, but she never thought she'll see it in real life talk more of staying there. Staring at the lavish designs and luxurious items alone made her wonder just how rich are the royalties?
The room is larger than the house she stays at Calm Region! This is surreal! Extremely too much.
"Lady Neev?" Marius tried to get her attention and Neev turned with a gasp.
"I'll send the maids over to---"
"No! You must not. I'm... I'm fine" sshe cut him off.
Marius stared at her, his face was stern as usual, cold and expressionless. Niamh gulped down nothing and lowered her head in apology.
"Meaning no offence, ser"
"You're given none" Marius replied, his gaze turned a less colder so that she could at least get relaxed in his presence. Since his gaze and expression are always intimidating making one to doubt whether to stay close to him or run away.
"Alright, freshen up. His Highness will soon be here" he bowed and left.
Niamh looked around one more time and sighed, like for real she's staying in the palace while her family are worried sick about her sudden disappearance!?
She shrugged the thought off and walked inside. In steady steps, she explored the room before making her way to the double door leading to the bathroom. She gaped at the sight.
It was also luxurious, the large bath tub was filled with steamy warm water. A sweet scent was emitted from the tub Niamh suddenly became eager to jump into that water and dip herself down. She shut the door and unclad herself. Without a second thought, she climbed up the tub.
"Ooohh..." She unexpectedly moaned as the warm water massaged her bare skin. She giggled.
When she was done, she wore an off-white cotton night wear she found in the large closet and brushed her hair. She gently sat in the edge of the bed staring at nothing when the door clicked open and Lansel walked in with two maids trailing behind him, each holding a tray.
Niamh sstood up with a start and curtsied as he strode towards her.
He gestured the maids to serve the dishes in the mini dining area and they meekly obeyed. They bowed and turned to leave but the prince's voice made them stop.
"Your names"
 the two maids exchanged looks and replied "Kieran and Ophelia, Your Highness"
"I urge you to serve lady Neev as her personal maids" Lansel stated and they both bowed.
"At your service, My Prince"
"I am honored to serve you Lady Niamh"
"You may leave"
Lansel sighed and turned to Neev
"Get used to them, they will serve you for a while" he then gestured her to come and eat. Niamh didn't hesitate as she walked towards the table. The aroma is enough to make her salivate crazily. She slowly sat down, staring at the royal delicacies. As if her stomach got the message, it growled loudly at that time.
Niamh gasped, biting her lower lip as her cheeks turned scarlet in embarrassment. Lansel found her expression extremely cute as the corner of his lips curbed up, forming a smirk.
"Eat" he said and sat across the table. Niamh nodded and started eating slowly. She paused for a little while and sighed.
{Does it feel uncomfortable while I watch} Lansel asked, through her mind, telepathically.
{It would have been better if you do not watch my every bite} Niamh also replied, telepathically, looking up at him. Lansel nodded and stood up and went to the window, staring at space.
'She can also read my mind and speak telepathically, so unlike a weak supernatural'
The maids cleared the table when Niamh was done eating, leaving the duo alone in the room.
"What if that Demon prince comes t the Moon Realm?" Niamh suddenly asked, standing in front of the mirror.
"He knows better than coming here" Lansel's eyes glinted with a dark glint as he said that.
"Not like he can be killed, I heard they are immortals" Neev said again.
"People didn't still find what could kill the demons. But I know his weakness" he smirked, his action only made him look hotter and handsome. Neev breathed out and turned to him.
"Then why is the prince protecting me?"
