Viltz stood next to another group of scholarly-looking young men in a line, waiting their turn to pick up their diplomas.
A few minutes later, he walked up to the podium where the various directors of each faculty were standing and shook hands with each one separately as they passed him diplomas one after the other.
When he arrived in front of the head of the alchemy faculty, Opus Kroft, Viltz shook his hand as he smiled and asked the man: "Professor Kroft, I have a proposal for a project that I think you might be interested in. If you have some free time later we can meet somewhere and I can tell you more about it."
Opus rubbed his chin and thought for a while before nodding.
"I have free time tonight, why don't we meet at the restaurant in town and there we discuss the issue at hand?"
"Okay."
Viltz shook the man's hand before continuing to greet the other teachers and principals.
In all Viltz went on to graduate from the faculties of technology, archaeology, medicine and herbology, alchemy, astrology and fine arts.
Initially he would not have been allowed to enter so many faculties to study at the same time but it only took a few mild mind control spells and a subsequent demonstration of his academic abilities for the voices of protest over the matter to dissipate.
As a result, he now had a graduation certificate and a stack of diplomas.
"I guess being proficient in many subjects but not a master in one also has its advantages."
During this time, Viltz examined both himself and Lena and Magna to find out what his natural talents were so that he could focus on them.
In the end, he discovered that her natural talent was her understanding, with which he could easily grasp things that would make others scratch their heads in confusion for weeks.
As for Magna, he had an amazing talent for energy control.
Under her hands, any spell that required precise control to cast would become simple to use.
In addition, Magna had a talent for the spear so he hired a spearman to train him over the years.
On the other hand, Lena's true talent was in alchemy, she was what one might describe as a true alchemical genius.
Putting away the pile of useless diplomas, Viltz met with Magna and Lena, who were now 15 and 10 years old respectively.
"Let's go celebrate with a nice meal."
After taking the two to a restaurant where they had a succulent meal as a family, Viltz bid them farewell and met his doppler clone at a campsite in the middle of a forest.
"Have you successfully located her?"
"Yes. She's in that cave."
The Viltz doppler pointed to a cave atop a mountain in the distance that could be seen with the naked eye.
"According to my research over the years, the silver dragons are becoming extinct due to the lack of the males' desire to reproduce. It sounds strange that dragons, which are famous for breeding with any creature that can handle what they have down there have totally lost their sex drive but well, I finally managed to find that dragon that just laid her eggs. It seems the father only bred with her out of obligation and then abandoned her to her fate but it seems she found a new mate, a black dragon."
"Dragons who don't want to have sex? What's next? Let the sun come out the other side?
And what the hell is up with this situation? Sexually impotent husband abandons sexually frustrated wife who ends up replacing him with the black guy on the corner? Where have I seen that story?"
Shaking his head, Viltz looked at the group of more than 20 warlocks in front of him.
These were his personal forces controlled by the slave seal.
Half of them were wandering sorcerers who happened to meet the Viltz doppler and ended up defeated and captured by him.
The other half were Nilfgaardian sorcerers that Viltz personally captured and added them to this homogeneous group he now had in front of him.
"Because the dragon has not left the nest for over a week now, most likely because she has been playing improper things with the black dragon, we have no choice but to force her out to confront her directly. We cannot wait any longer or else the embryo inside the egg would have developed more than optimal for our plan.
While we distract the dragon couple, you will enter their nest and abduct the egg. Then you will return to help us neutralize them."
"Okay, we'll start in half an hour so you can all start getting ready."
Viltz doppler explained the plan to Viltz prime before starting on his own preparations.
Half an hour later, Viltz doppler gave the signal to begin the operation.
One of the wizards in the group approached the entrance to the cave and conjured a fireball, hurling it inside before rushing off in a hurry.
Two enraged roars were heard and a 20 meter long black dragon emerged from inside the cave, pouncing on the wizard but the latter was quicker and conjured a portal that brought him back together with his companions.
At the Viltz doppler's signal, the wizards raised their staffs and conjured fireballs that shot towards the black dragon's wings.
The dragon dodged most of the fireballs in a masterful manner but could not dodge them all.
A few hit his wings but hardly hurt him.
The dragon flapped its wings once more and swooped down on the group.
The Viltz doppler used his staff to transport himself next to the entrance of the cave and threw a fireball at the dragon resting inside.
The dragoness released a jet of flame from her mouth that slammed into the fireball, causing an explosion that caused the cave entrance to begin to collapse.
"You damned human! What do you want!?"
The dragoness spread her wings menacingly as she sent telepathic messages to the Viltz doppler filled with fury.
The Viltz doppler didn't mind her babbling and continued to attack, hurling more fireballs at it.
Two gargoyles suddenly appeared on either side of the dragon and swooped down on her, clinging to her wings.
With a snap of the Viltz doppler's fingers, strange runes appeared all over the gargoyles' bodies and they began to flicker.
The dragon's vertical pupils contracted as she sensed imminent danger and she began to flap her wings more vehemently but the constant bombardment from the Viltz doppler would not let her concentrate on getting the two pesky fleas off her back.
The two gargoyles suddenly inflated like balloons before they burst, reducing both their bodies and the dragoness' wings to dust.
The dragoness let out a pain-filled roar and her eyes turned red as she fixed her gaze on the Viltz doppler.
The dragon no longer cared about anything but killing the insect in front of her. With one step, it abandoned its nest, exposing two silver-colored eggs.
The Viltz doppler backed up a couple of steps as it watched the dragoness approach it menacingly.
The dragoness released her dragon breath as she ran towards Viltz doppler at full speed.
Viltz doppler did not lose his cool and conjured the magical barrier of the staff to surround his whole body.
As the dragon kept trying to melt the barrier, she didn't notice how a tiny portal opened above the nest, from where a pair of hands came out and grabbed the two eggs before disappearing.
The dragoness' nose suddenly wrinkled and she stopped attacking, turning her head toward the nest, causing her red eyes to narrow even more as she saw that the two eggs were missing.
Turning her head sharply, she looked at the spot where the Viltz doppler was supposed to be just a second ago, now there was no one there.
With a roar full of rage, the dragoness ran towards the entrance of the half-destroyed cave and tried to get out but her body was too big.
The dragon could only stick her head out of a crack, roaring at the black dragon to get its attention but what she didn't count on was that the Viltz doppler would suddenly appear, thrusting a spear made of meteoric matal into her skull.
The spear pierced the dragon's forehead and came out from under her jaw.
The dragon's entire body trembled for a moment before going limp.
The black dragon, who was in a skirmish against the group of sorcerers, was suddenly distracted for a memento as it sensed the dragoness' death, looking in the direction of the cave.
"Now!"
One of the sorcerers gave the order and six sorcerers with spears filled with runes on their tips rushed at the dragon, thrusting them into different points of the body where the joints between the scales were most fragile.
The spears exploded inside the dragon's body, sending chunks of meteorite metal flying through its flesh and organs.
The huge dragon let out a roar of pain before collapsing in defeat.
The sorcerers pulled out chains of meteorite metal and began to bind the dragon's limbs and mouth to restrict its mobility.
Viltz prime appeared over the black dragon's head and placed his hands on the huge creature's glabella, reciting a chant.
A few seconds later, a strange rune appeared on the dragon's huge eyes for a millisecond before disappearing.
The dragon that kept writhing suddenly calmed down and the endless roars and curses it was constantly sending into Viltz's mind stopped as well.
The dragon gave Viltz a submissive look, to which Viltz nodded in satisfaction.
Releasing the dragon from its bonds, Viltz proceeded to use a spell that removed the metal fragments that were running around the inside of the dragon's body.
The dragon let out a roar of pain but unlike before, this time it didn't get out of control.
After removing all the metal fragments, Viltz proceeded to use creation magic to restore the tissue between the organ wounds and the dragon's skin.
It was difficult and strenuous but after fifteen minutes, all of the black dragon's wounds were finally recovered.
The dragon lowered its massive head until it touched the ground and its wings folded.
"Master!"
"Raise your head!"
Viltz gazed at his new mount and an excited smile broke out on his face.
Just like any lover of fantasy tales, he too wanted to have his own dragon as a mount.
After meeting with his Doppler clone, Viltz learned that of the original 23 sorcerers, three were killed and seven were severely injured.
After healing those sorcerers, Viltz opened a large portal big enough for the huge body of the black dragon to pass through, taking it to the outskirts of Stygga Castle.
