As the military officer got everyone to get in a line everyone waited as two people came out, told the military officer that they could go, and introduced themselves.
From their appearance to each person respectfully, the first was a woman around the same size as Roseline with black hair and purple eyes and the other was a man with dirty blonde hair and gray eyes, around the size of 6 feet tall, and looked like what a normal teacher would look like.
"Hello my name is Raven Cromwell, call me Ms. Cromwell, and this is Atlas Gray or Mr. Gray."
"Hello young students." Atlas said with a mysterious smile that put Roseline off a bit, but not in a way that was threatening.
"Now then, you lot will now be taking a test so that we can learn of and assign you a class schedule to follow. Of course you don't have to follow the schedule as all classes are open to students but that is if you're fine with being left behind."
"You will be taking the test in groups of five. Each group will fight one of us by each person in the group to test your strength, stamina, and agility."
Raven then started to call students and put them into groups.
"Group 16. Leila Ashley, Roseline Hart, Emma West, Aiden Whitlock, and Lucas Spade."
Roseline and the others that were called went up and followed Atlas as they went to the arena that they were going to take the test.
Entering the arena, one could see that it was huge and spacious. On one side of the arena there was a stand with various training weapons on it.
"Well then let's start now by last name as I don't have much time to test you new students."
The first to come up was the girl called Leila.
She was brown haired and had what seemed like orange-yellow eyes, though Roseline couldn't tell which one.
What she took from the stand of training weapons was a bow.
Aiming the bow at the professor, Leila grabbed some arrows and started to fire her bow.
The fired arrows slowly had wind build up around the tip of the arrowhead, turning into a little ball of compressed wind.
As the arrows reached Atlas the tip of the arrow suddenly exploded with air strikes going all over the place, but not far.
Long ago Altas had already known he didn't need to block as the attack was too weak to do any damage to him.
"Now try to dodge or block my attacks so I can see your stamina and agility."
Soon after bright sword strike attacks that were way to blinding went after Leila, quickly getting to her location in the arena.
As soon as she noticed the attacks she tried her best to get far from the attacks so as to make distance between her and the professor.
But after a 1 minute or 2 Leila was soon hit and was told to go back.
"You seem to be a 1 Star Air Beginner which is still a good start for someone your age."
Next Roseline was called over to take the test.
But there was one issue.
"Mr. Gray, I don't have an affinity.."
"Hm? Ah then the military can give you an affinity book of earth for free but you will get a debt to repay during your years at the school."
Roseline had already known that that was one of the main reasons why people stayed at the military bases as it was one of the ways to get affinity books without having to pay insane prices.
Roseline had thought that the book given to her by her dead parents was an affinity book but clearly it wasn't as they didn't give you an interface or 'system'. Unless there was one, but that would have long since been controlled by the big families at the top.
"Can I see it?" Roseline said, unsure of if they would let her see it.
"Sure, after all you can't learn it without opening it."
Atlas brought out a thick book that was green and brown in color with the title 'Affinity Book: All About the Earth Element.'.
As she went up to touch the book the system had an interface appear.
——— SYSTEM ———
The SYSTEM has found that the affinity book is unsuitable for the user.
Would you like to convert this affinity book to 10 EX?
——————————
'Huh you can do that? How is it not suitable for me?'
As Roseline stood there the System soon responded with an answer.
— yes, the reason for the affinity book being unsuitable is because it belongs to a different affinity group than the user's species. —
'Wait different species?'
Altas cleared his throat as he asked Roseline what was wrong
"You alright? Are you going to take the affinity book or not?"
"Oh no, thanks anyways."
"Well alright then. You still have to take the test though."
Roseline nodded as she went to get into her place at the arena.
For the strength part of the test, Roseline did as expected. Bad as she couldn't reach the professor. But on the stamina and agility part of the test she at least was able to last 30 seconds before getting hit.
"Well just because you don't have an affinity right now doesn't mean that you will stay weak ok? There are many different ways of getting stronger than just awakening like having a Core weapon."
"Core weapon?"
"Ah you will learn that at weapons class. But pretty much it's a weapon that is made with Beast Cores or special Mana stones that you can make a contract with to make its power yours. I'll put you in that class then so that you can learn more about them."
As Roseline went back to the spot she was before another girl went up with confidence strides as she exuded a cold temperament.
"Already Emma, let's see what you have to offer."
Emma got into position as she readied herself as if this was life or death
