As Emma got ready and into position, Altas went ahead and got ready to block her attacks.
When her blue eyes shone, frost and ice formed as it took into the shape of a sword.
Holding the cold sword, Emma went and took step after step to the professor as she got ready for her strike.
Once she got close to the professor she attacked with a strong attack that froze the precipitation in the air and stuck them onto the sword strike making it stronger and showing off her level of control over her affinity.
As the sword strike reached Atlas, he gathered many light spheres to form a shield that easily blocked the attack.
"Good good. Well that will be enough-"
But before he could continue with the sentence another attack was sent over to him.
But of course with the shield it did nothing.
"All right, young student, that's enough now." Atlas said as he sent a few light spheres that quickly stopped her from doing anymore moves as he waited for her to calm down and to continue the next part of the test with patience.
Soon after Emma stopped being so headstrong and decided to just stop.
"Well now seeing that you're calmed down try to avoid my attack as best as you can alright?" He said as the light spheres dissipated
As soon as Emma got into position he gave out attack after attack, making her try her best and to give it her all to dodge or block them.
Emma lasted 4 minutes and 37 seconds before getting hit and finishing the performance test.
"Alright Aiden, come up now."
The scrawny awkward kid went up and looked really nervous, but seeing that he wasn't the only one without any affinity he decided to speak up about it.
"Mr. Gray.. I don't have an affinity either.. um I would like to take the affinity book…"
"Ah sure here you go." Atlas gave the earth affinity book to Aiden.
"You don't have to do the test as now that you have to learn from the affinity book. We won't be able to give you an accurate place in the school for now. But once you awaken you will have to take it."
Aiden nodded as he went back holding the affinity book like a dog with its tail in between its legs.
'Hmn.' Roseline thought, looking at him thinking about his behavior. But with her behavior being unpredictable and spontaneous at times, she wasn't better off than him.
"The last one should be Lucas now right? Well then get up here."
Lucas, who was blonde similar to Emma's dirty blonde hair and had green eyes, came up and said in a cheery voice fitting for him "Hello teacher, maybe I have a good fight with you."
"Well, it looks like you have some good manners." smiled Atlas.
Lucas had gotten a spear and got it ready to attack.
Soon as the test started he ran over to get in close range with the professor which was a weird choice for a mid-range weapon.
But as he got close to attack on the other side of Atlas a small unstable portal appeared that had the spear come over through, getting close enough to pierce through Atlas.
As Atlas realized this he made many light spheres form and cover this side of his back blocking this attack.
Seeing that his attack got blocked Lucas backed off and truly started to use his spear art.
Lucas continued to attack as Atlas blocked all of them for a while before the professor said he was done with blocking.
After waiting for Lucas to get back to the place he started at, Atlas started to send out balls of light to try and hit Lucas at a difficulty perfect for him to show all of his stamina and agility.
Lucas had lasted 4 minutes and 5 seconds, less than Emma.
It seemed that because of his affinity going well with the spear art he gave off the same feel as Emma while being physically weaker.
With that the test for the group was done.
"I will be telling you the rank of your Core now. Lelia like I said before, you are a Air 1 Star Beginner, Roseline you are currently unawakened, Emma you are a Ice and Water 3 Star Senior, Aiden you are currently unawakened but will be a Earth 1 Star Beginner after learning that affinity book, and Lucas as your affinity is special you give off the might of a 3 Star but that can't fool me. You are a Space 2 Star Junior." Atlas said.
"So that will be it. You guys will leave and go to the military officers near the exit and get the number of your new dorm or explore the base as you wait for further instructions. Now go on, young students, you have much to see here on base."
As they were dismissed Roseline went over to get her room number when suddenly she felt an arm go around her shoulder.
"Hey so what's your name? My name's Lucas Spade, nice to meet you."
'Uh oh gods..' Roseline thought.
"Hey do you mind?" Roseline snapped.
"Oh sorry." Lucas quickly removed his arm from her shoulder.
"Anyways you think we are gonna' be roommates?"
"No? I don't think a military school would let males and females share the same room…"
"Ah didn't know that, was homeschooled ya know?"
'Why am I even entertaining this buffoon?'
Roseline quickly speed-walked over to the nearest military officer as she got her room number and went to it to lay on bed and decide what to do going forward with the system now here.
Military Base 3 was quite huge. As she walked through the base she saw many arenas, buildings that were for the teachers to teach to the students, shopping areas, and lots of convenience stores. A lot of them.
Much later what came into view was 15 similar looking 10-floor tall buildings that were the living complexes of the students and teachers.
On every floor there were 10 dorms each with three students taking up one dorm
Buildings 1-5 were for male students and buildings 6-10 were for female students. The rest were for teachers
She looked at the note that said her room was building 6 on floor 6 dorm 4 making it Dorm 6-604.
When she got into her dorm's door she opened it and saw a familiar face.
