The teacher looked at the class and spoke in a clear and deep voice, sounding like an old man. " Welcome to Core Weapons Class young kiddos."
Hearing the voice, the class quieted down and listened to what the teacher was saying.
" My name is Seth Fang. I used to be a colonel before I became a teacher. The one and only thing you need to know about me is that power is my belief."
Roseline was already liking the behavior of Seth. Serious and to the point.
" Here you will learn about Core weapons and how to fight with and without them."
Seth had the whole class turn to the left side of the sci-fi dojo-looking classroom.
" Go and grab your weapon. Once you pick one you will stick with it for the rest of your time here."
Letting the students off to pick their weapon, Roseline looked around and saw many different types of weapons.
Not sure which one to pick she chose one randomly that looked like a short sword and got a notification from the System.
— SYSTEM does not recommend the weapon. Please choose another one. —
'?' Roseline went over to touch the Bow and got the same notification.
'Huh wonder what weapon fits me.'
Looking through the weapons, she saw something catch her eye.
A pair of gauntlets.
They were black in color with red fang-like designs on it. They looked like bloodthirsty claws.
Roseline went up to them and picked them up getting another notification, but this time it was different.

' Oh this seems quite good?'
Deciding to go with this weapon. Roseline picked up the gauntlets and was about to go back to her location when Seth was looking at her with an unknown face.
Seth turned away, focusing on the other students.
Confusion showed on her face as she thought she saw something but it looked like nothing happened.
Going back to her place, Seth proceeded to continue to talk about the subject.
" now that you all have your weapon let's talk about them. Core weapons are weapons created using Cores, we all know that much. Making weapons out of Cores gives them an almost living aspect to them, being able to 'breath' in mana and circulate it throughout the weapon's body. By doing this they can have their own affects and often need to be personally made for the wielder, but as this is just training that doesn't matter much right now."
" That living aspect can also form itself to better fit the wielder after long use, but it is unlikely for the weapons you students have as for 3 Star and below such effects rarely show improvement."
" Forming a contract with a Core weapon is making it like a part of your body, feeling like having another arm. To form a contract one will need to go into their subconscious after using the Core weapon long enough and making it familiar with you for its barrier to go down, making it easy to contact the weapon itself and give them the contract. As it is a contract one will have pros and cons, prices to pay."
" The prices can be negotiated but not removed. Some of the more common prices are feeding on some of your own mana, magic stones, or taking up one of your Star levels in your core, making your core weaker. But just because they are common doesn't mean all Core weapons are going to ask of you for this. Some Core weapons ask for human flesh, some for a sacrifice, and few even for money like gold."
" The price could be anything."
After explaining a bit about Core weapons, Seth moved on to the next topic. Fighting and martial arts.
" What you will first learn is called 'Steady Mountain'. This martial art is the military's base form of martial arts, so every other martial arts skill you will learn will be based on this."
" Steady Mountain is a martial art of flow and steadiness. Watch me as I show you how to perform it."
Seth spread his legs as far as his shoulders on the floor and put his hands up, the right on his side and left in front of him.
Starting the martial art, Seth first did a slow punch with his right fist as so the students can see the movements and moved on to the next step followed with the other
Composed of punches and using body weight to keep the body on the ground, the Steady Mountain was easy to understand and follow, showing its place as the base form of martial arts in the military.
After showing the martial art Seth turned around to the students and told them to replicate what he had done while occasionally giving pointers.
Roseline had gotten the hang of Steady Mountain quickly and got a notification.

User has learned a new martial art!
Name: Steady Mountain Form
Martial art progress: 10%
——————————
Seeing that there was a percentage of progress on the interface, Roseline took note of it and continued to practice Steady Mountain until Seth called the class back.
"As the class is coming to an end I would like to pick a student most proficient up here to fight against me."
Doing so he called on someone in the class. He pointed at the dirty blonde that had a sword Core Weapon in the color of blue and white on the floor, looking icey.
Emma looked back at Seth with her crystal clear blue eyes and climbed up the stage, facing straight at him.
"You, what's your name, young lady?" Seth asked
Roseline finally heard Emma's voice clearly after meeting her at the military's entrance test.
The voice that came out of Emma's throat was just as cold as herself and clear like a lake. It kind of gave Roseline the impression of something robotic.
"My name is Emma West, Mr. Fang."
"Very well then Emma, come and try to win against me with Steady Mountain."
Having said so Emma went and got to Seth's side immediately, planting her feet down and pushing a punch before the students could react.
