~DREX~
It had been a few days since the trial. While Wren slept, I resumed my duties, reaping under the cover of shadow. Tonight, it was Joe and Sandra Bishop's time. I watched as they turned the corner, their life clocks ticking down the final seconds.

The crash of their car into the tree echoed in my ears, a symphony of shattering glass and twisting metal. Their souls floated above their broken bodies, confusion etched on their ethereal faces.
"What is happening?" they asked each other, their voices trembling.
I appeared before them, my presence casting a calm shadow over their panic. "I offer you my hand," I said, extending it towards them. They hesitated, the fear of the unknown gripping them. It was only natural. Death is unknown, terrifying.
Reluctantly, they took my hand, and I flitted them to the River of Souls. The river shimmered under a moonless sky, a silvery path leading to their afterlife.
