Chapter 17 - Chapter 16

Tiwa takes a second to close his eyes and inhales a deep breath, trying to calm himself down. He doesn't want to end up in jail tonight for murdering Pravat. "What does he think about himself, huh? Maybe he's an alpha, but I have a more powerful alpha than him on my side. If anyone dares to touch my shadow, my brother will murder them, no matter what."

Encouraging himself, Tiwa glares and plucks the lollipop out of Pravat's mouth, throwing it away. "If you think you can scare me, it will be your stupidity. My brother and I will never be scared of you. I swear to God, if you don't get out, I will," he bites out.

Pravat's eyes shift from the lollipop on the floor and focus back on the man standing before him. He loses control because of the disrespect, but he pretends to stay moderate. "Yeah, what are you going to do, huh?" He teases, raising a threatening eyebrow.

"I'm going to call the cops!" Tiwa sputters. He feels like an idiot for letting the words go carelessly, but he tries to manage it.

Pravat rolls his eyes, looking way too pleased with himself. "Oh, please.." He gets up from the couch and plants his foot on the lollipop, crashing it within a second. "I haven't seen the cops before, so please call them. I'll see. But wait! What reason will you give them? I invaded your room and stole your shirt, right? I guess it's pretty cheap. Stealing a shirt and things… it's, ugh, I'll give you a valid reason that you can tell them." His smug expression slips away as he squints at Tiwa's chest and seizes him up, making him feel uncomfortable. "How about I steal your virginity?!"

Tiwa's eyes widen, feeling his self-consciousness dissipate into the air. "D-Don't.." He shakes his head, moving backward to create distance between them. A surge of panic overwhelms him as he adamantly refuses, not wanting anyone to invade his personal space or do anything he is not comfortable with.

His heart leaps in his throat when the alpha stands right in front of him, just a foot away. He doesn't know how to become unreachable. He swallows hard and tries to think of something straight, but he can't.

He has no clue what is happening to him, feeling like a deer caught in the headlights. He knows he needs to do something, but his feet remain glued to the floor, unable to move as Pravat closes the already minimal distance between them with one swift stride.

"Don't," he repeats firmly.

Pravat smirks and pushes Tiwa against the door gingerly, not giving him time to process his feelings. "Baby deer." He places his hands on either side of Tiwa, leaning in closer.

Blood starts to pool in Tiwa's face as dark brown eyes bore themselves into his own. He realizes what Pravat intends to do—take his virginity and possibly even his life. The evil glint in the alpha's eyes is all too familiar, a remnant of the last time they interacted before Pravat was expelled from school.

Tiwa can't help but whimper in fear as he braces himself for what may come next. "Please, don't.." He pleads, begging for mercy. He doesn't want to lose everything he has worked hard for. He doesn't want to burn in Pravat's rage and turn into ashes within seconds.

He prays to God to save him from this insane alpha or give him an idea to escape the situation as Pravat's eyes darken with lust. "It shouldn't be happening. It's not what I wish for. I don't want to become a meal for his hunger. I don't deserve this!" His head turns around, looking for help.

Just as Pravat's lips are about to touch him, Tiwa slides down and forces the door open, causing the alpha to kiss the door and get hit in the face. With no time to spare, Tiwa closes the door and runs down the hallway in search of his brother, finding him right on his way.

"B-Brother!" He throws himself at Jaran and holds him tight, trying to find comfort in his warmth. However, as he tries, it's not working out. He pulls away and trembles violently, still feeling the discomfort in the air. "I can't, brother. I can't. I can't breathe." He hyperventilates.

"Breathe, Tiwa. Slow down. Listen to my counting and try to breathe with me. One, that's it. Two, you can do it." Jaran counts for what feels like a lifetime, but he can't be more than a few minutes before Tiwa can get the panic attack under control. He breathes a sigh of relief and places a gentle kiss on Tiwa's forehead before guiding him to their room.

Each step taken toward the room makes Tiwa nervous. He doesn't want to go, not when Pravat is there. His heart thumps in his chest as his whole body aches with emotions. He's not sure whether to deal with it alone or let his brother know the facts.

When they reach their room, Tiwa's feet stop. He looks at the door and reaches out to push it open, but pauses when he lacks the courage to touch the wooden material, at least. He clenches his fingers slightly before holding onto Jaran's arm and squeezing it.

A roiling confusion and distress occur in Jaran about his little brother's actions, but he sets them aside for later and pushes the door open.

Tiwa's heart beats fast, and it's almost jumping out of his chest. His eyes scan the room in search of Pravat, but there is no evidence of the other's arrival except for the lollipop on the floor, which hovers over ants, and his favorite shirt is missing.

Tiwa swallows hard and grabs Jaran's arm, looking up at him. "Pravat…"

"Yeah, that fucker wasn't in his room when I went in there. He might have figured out I was coming and ran off. Such a scary cat!" Jaran says with a smirk, letting out a small laugh. He glances over at Tiwa, seeing the changes in his expression, which seems like a disturbing feeling.

"Hey, are you okay?" Jaran asks, placing his hands on Tiwa's shoulders and shaking him to bring him back to his usual self.

Tiwa looks back at Jaran and laughs dryly. "Ugh, yeah. I'm fine," he replies unconvincingly, reaching for a water bottle on the coffee table. As he takes a sip, he can feel Pravat's lips marking the rim of the bottle, causing him to pull away and stare at it when a strange sensation settles in the pit of his stomach.

Jaran, who is sure something is off, wraps an arm around Tiwa's shoulders and drags him to the bedroom. "Are you sure?" He asks in a soft tone with a smile.

"Yeah, I'm sure. I'm really fine." Tiwa tries to convince Jaran as he sits on the bed, motioning for his brother to sit beside him. He can tell Jaran does not believe him, but it still gives him space to clear his mind and be comfortable.

A few minutes later, Tiwa leans on Jaran's shoulder and stares out the window while intertwining their fingers. The moon in the sky looks beautiful, not belong to any particular individual. Being presented as an omega, Tiwa fell in love with the moon for teaching him to embrace darkness and solitude. Grazing at the moon, he becomes observant.

His eyes drift to the million stars and admire them for a few minutes until the incident, which happened an hour ago, gets into his mind. His body shudders at the scene replaying in his head to bring all the emotions out. Being an omega is sick and pathetic. Alphas see omegas as play toys and try to hurt them to show their dominance. Watching the delightful sky, his heart secretly prays to see a shooting star passing by and holds a wish to change his omega nature.
