When I awoke, I realized I was in someone's arms, and that their touch didn't bother me. My vision was still a bit blurry, and I couldn't feel my body, nor could I move it. My hearing was muffled, too, like I had headphones on. "You have no idea what your up against." I
The voice was familiar, but I couldn't place a name to it.

I don't remember losing to the darkness, but when I woke up the next time, my vision still blurry and hearing now unbothered, I could tell I was on some sort of vehicle, leaning back against someone's chest. I still couldn't move, or feel my body. No matter how hard I tried. "Shelby?" "Mmh..." I muttered, before being lost to the dark monster again.

"She'll wake up any minute now, won't she?" A minute of silence. "We don't know, exactly. There's a small chance she'll wake up. But she'll be in a coma-like state if she doesn't-" My eyes blinked open slowly, and I could see the tiles of a hospital rooms ceiling, I could feel someones hand gripping mine. "Shelby?" I looked over to the sound of the voice, and found Connor, his eyes full of nothing but concern and worry and a tiny splash of rage. Both of his hands were holding my one, and he brought it up to his face, kissing it before leaning his forehead against it. "She's awake. I'll go grab the doctor." I scrunched my eyebrows together in confusion, and squeezed Connor's hands in return, thinking. "What happened?" My voice was low, and hoarse, as if I hadn't talked in a while. But before Connor.could answer, the memories flashed through my mind. "Oh." "Yeah. I-I'm just glad your ok." The doctor came in, and made sure everything was up to date, then left. "How long was I gone?" I asked Connor, trying to sit up, and hissing in pain. He stood, and helped to prop me up on the pillow, then sat down next to me on the bed. He looked deeply into my eyes and I looked back into his. He undid my bun, and brushed a strand of hair behind my ear, making me blush a bit. He chuckled, and stayed like that, unmoving. "Shelby, I, uh, have a question." "Hm?" I asked, trying not to get lost in his beautiful eyes. "What are we now? Like, are we dating, are we friends with benefits, what?" I thought long, and hard, then smirked at him. "I guess, if you don't mind, that we're dating." He smiled, and cupped my cheek, running his thumb over my lips. "I was hoping you'd say that." Then we shared a sweet, passionate, and long kiss.
