Chapter 7 - Chapter 7

Clarissa gathered most of the herbs and only two remained. One was called ice lotus flower used to cure poisons. This herb was extremely rare because of it's growing environment. It needed extreme cold places to grow. The other herb was the spider lily flower which was used to cure a very toxic poison. She started wondering why the people from the mansion would need such herbs in the first place.

Clarissa picked her sack of herbs and started her journey back to the Brook's mansion. It was already a few hours before it got dark. She really didn't want to go back but she had to endure until she found a way to earn money and get a place to stay.

As she walked she decided to go to the Divine pavilion which was the ideal place to buy and sell treasures. It was rumoured that they could find anything as long as you had the money. They were also know for their generous offers for anyone who had some items or treasures and would like to sell or auction them.

Clarissa was quite lucky for she had picked up some rare herbs that would fetch good money for her. After walking out of the forest she headed straight into the city gates. The city was divided into two; the outer area where most poor and middle class people lived and then the inner area where the most rich and influencial people lived. And that included the governor and his family.

The city was called Triberias city, it was well know for it's mighty commander Lucas Brook. He was know as a devil in battle and he possessed the ice spirit.

His profound comprehension with ice has made him a formidable opponent in battle. Many powers have tried to poach him but he refused their offers and decided to remain in his home city.

Clarissa walked into the city as she hurried towards the Divine pavilion. She had tried to clean up as best as she could, then she walked inside. She found an old man behind the counter; he had a coldness around him that seemed to frighten most people.

Clarissa opened her sack and removed the five herbs that were wrapped up carefully. Each herb contained four stalks each. She put the herbs on the counter then spoke to the shopkeeper.

Clarissa: " I want to sell this herbs, are you willing to buy them?"

The old man was looking at her every action since she came in. He was surprised to see such composure and straight forwardness in such a young girl. She seemed to be a servant girl just by her dressing but she carried a cold and noble aura that belongs to mighty cultivators.

The old man whose name was Jack, mainly know as manager Jack, was the manager of divine pavilion.

He gave Clarissa a once over look and then inspected the herbs. He was surprised because the herbs were difficult to find and the herbs were also rare because of their medicinal properties. He inspected the herbs once more and then offered her the price.

Manager Jack: "I'll give you five thousand silver coins per stalk so a hundred thousand silver coins for all."

Clarissa nodded her head in agreement. She didn't expect to earn so much money seems like the herbs were quite valuable. She had other herbs but she didn't want to sell them coz she needed them for her practices.

Manager Jack took the herbs and put them in a box then gave her the money. Clarissa took the money without counting it. She thanked the manager then walked out of the pavilion.
