Chapter 8
As the sun rose, the two sat in Kim Hae-yoon's car with a disguise on them. Kim Hae-yoon was looking through the resumes that Park Cheol-seok had sent early this morning while Cho Shiye was silently watching a movie with her earphones on.
Kim Hae-yoon took a peek which Cho Shiye didn't notice as she's engrossed in the movie that made Kim Hae-yoon smile.
Kim Hae-yoon sent a message to Park Cheol-seok to buy her movie tickets for later as they sat in silence.
As they reached the arcade, Kim Hae-yoon left the car immediately to open the door for Cho Shiye. Cho Shiye didn't say a word and simply left the car, leaving Kim Hae-yoon behind.
Kim Hae-yoon grinned and scratched the back of her hand as she followed Cho Shiye.
*****
Cho Shiye kept ignoring Kim Hae-yoon unlike yesterday at the amusement park, Kim Hae-yoon didn't seem bothered as she followed her like a dog.
Kim Hae-yoon looked around in awe, this is the first time she'd ever been inside an arcade so she doesn't know what to do.
Whenever Cho Shiye would play around one of the machines, Kim Hae-yoon would applaud her with a big grin. Cho Shiye felt embarrassed sensing the eyes of everyone looking at the two of them.
"Can I give it a try?" Kim Hae-yoon asked as Cho Shiye looked at her. She nodded and patted Kim Hae-yoon to sit next to her.
Kim Hae-yoon smiled brightly as she sat and held the gear, Cho Shiye looked at the childish appearance of Kim Hae-yoon and chuckled.
'Who knew that the cold tyrant had this side of her?'
Kim Hae-yoon looked at her and smiled. "How do you play this?" She asked softly with a shy smile.
Cho Shiye held Kim Hae-yoon's hands firmly, and pressed the starting button at the back of the gear.
"You need to press this and then, you need to customize your weapons. I will choose the battle sequence, so you just need to aim right and tear the enemies. And wear this helmet too for VR experience–"
As she's about to put on the helmet on Kim Hae-yoon's head, she looked at her as their eyes met. She didn't notice the distance between the two of them as their hearts both beat in synchrony with each other.
Kim Hae-yoon was the first to look away as she blushed and coughed, "I-I see, then, I'll wear this." She took the helmet from Cho Shiye's hands.
"Yeah." Cho Shiye replied as she went back to her seat. The two blushed and put on their helmets in ambiguous silence.
Kim Hae-yoon followed what Cho Shiye had said as they played the game smoothly. Kim Hae-yoon got the knack of the game and managed to play well and as they both finished, Kim Hae-yoon smiled and looked at Cho Shiye.
"That was fun!" Kim Hae-yoon expressed eagerly as she took off her helmet.
"Yeah." Cho Shiye replied as she left the helmet back at its play along with the gears. Kim Hae-yoon followed her actions and they soon left the machine with a big smile on Kim Hae-yoon's face and a faint one on Cho Shiye's.
Kim Hae-yoon noticed a claw machine with plushies on them and what caught her attention was the cute strawberry plushie. She pointed at it and looked at Cho Shiye.
"Let's try that."
Cho Shiye nodded and they soon reached the claw machine. Kim Hae-yoon put a coin inside and attempted to take the strawberry plushie.
She didn't know how much coins she'd spent but in the end, she still managed to get the plushie. She presented them to Cho Shiye and gave it to her with a grin.
"This is for you." Kim Hae-yoon spoke as Cho Shiye looked at her in disbelief.
Cho Shiye had strawberry scented pheromones and giving a gift that resembles someone's pheromones was considered a romantic act that people in olden times used to express love to another person and it was also used for courting.
Cho Shiye frowned, even Kim Yun-hee didn't give her any strawberry related gifts. It's impossible that Kim Hae-yoon doesn't know what she's doing but as Cho Shiye saw those innocent smiles on Kim Hae-yoon's, she sighed.
'This person may be the biggest idiot or a good actress.'
"What's wrong? Do you not like it?" Kim Hae-yoon asked as Cho Shiye shook her head.
"No." She replied as Kim Hae-yoon breathed a sigh of relief.
"That's good." She smiled widely.
"Thank you." Cho Shiye smiled gently and shook Kim Hae-yoon's heart. She blushed and scratched the back of her hair nervously.
"N-no problem! Anyways, are you hungry? Let's eat lunch." Kim Hae-yoon frantically walked away, bumping into a stranger as Cho Shiye chuckled and held her hand.
"Be careful." Cho Shiye reminded softly as Kim Hae-yoon gulped and blushed further as she nodded and turned her back against her.
Cho Shiye can feel the warm sweaty hands of Kim Hae-yoon and smile. She couldn't seem to hate this fool or be indifferent towards her.
'I may have fallen into a trap.'
