"You promised her that you would go to meet her today, remember? Don't tell me that you forgot what you promised. What kind of mother are you turning into? You didn't even buy her any chocolates," Serenity said in a funny voice.
She was joking and Heaven knew that. Both of them knew that Heaven was the best mother out there. She would burn down the whole world for her child if needed.
"I know, I didn't forget. I thought that you had other reasons," Heaven said with a smile, just thinking about her daughter makes her happy.
She was the ultimate ray of sunshine.
"I do. I am planning on joining you and I can't meet my niece in such a state. I look homeless. What will she think about me? That her aunt has no sense of fashion? I would rather die than let this happen," Serenity said like it was the most serious thing ever.
Heaven laughs at her childishness.
They got fresh and after having a thick smoothie bowl with lots of nuts and fruits, they finally left for their desired destination.
Serenity didn't forget to do her makeup, wear a floral perfume, and wear a badass outfit.
She wore fishnet leggings under her long white shirt and finished the outfit with a black corset. The fishnet wasn't that see-through hence it was appropriate enough.
She wore black boots and she only left after being satisfied with her look.
Heaven shook her head at Serenity. She wore a satin long dress with a corset.
"What? Gotta be a fashionable aunt to my niece," Serenity said before she started walking with her black leather bag.
Heaven followed her. Both of them didn't forget to take the most important thing with them and that was lots of chocolates and love.
'Daylight Orphanage' was written in bold letters.
They exchanged a look, both of them thinking about the same thing.
"Why can't we take her home?"
Heaven already decided that by 24 if she didn't get married and pregnant then she was going to adopt a child. She always wanted kids.
The love she had for children was out of this world. But unfortunately, she couldn't be with the love of her life and was single.
She decided that it would be best if she adopted a child. In this way, she would have someone to look after, someone to take care of.
She also thought that at an early age, we are more energetic and can give our full energy to raising a child. As time goes by, our muscles start to give up and we become less and less energized.
Just like her words, she's at the orphanage by 24 with Serenity.
Serenity wanted Heaven to move on from Arrow, find a nice guy, date him, and start a family with him.
But Heaven didn't want this and Serenity couldn't take Heaven's life decisions for her.
That's why despite not agreeing one hundred percent with Heaven, she was standing by her side.
They both were taken inside the room where the children were sleeping.
They were roaming around but neither of them caught Heaven's eyes until one woman entered with a small child.
She was looking different than others because she wasn't as clear as the others. Her whole body was covered with dirt.
But what made Heaven more intrigued is that despite being hurt, she wasn't crying. She was rather calm but as soon as her eyes fell on Heaven, she started laughing.
Raising her hands in the air, asking Heaven to pick her.
The caretaker thought that Heaven was disgusted by her.
"I am extremely sorry. She's not one of our kids. She might have gotten her just now. That's why she's probably dirty. We will take her away and clean while you search for the kid you would like to take home," she says nervously.
Heaven didn't bother answering her. She starts walking towards that little child who is still chuckling.
Heaven slowly picks her up, not minding the dirt and smell on her body.
Her eyes were rather on the small scratch she had on one of her cheeks. The blood has dried off but she might have been hurt.
Heaven's eyes filled up with tears. This small child doesn't deserve any of it. She kissed her exactly in the same place where she was hurt and pulled her closer to her chest as if comforting her.
As if drawing stars around her scars.
Serenity who was watching the whole thing felt something entirely different in her chest.
"The idea of adopting a child isn't that bad maybe," she thought.
She knew that Heaven was going to choose her.
"Destiny, that's the name of my daughter. Do you like it, Destiny?" she asked and Destiny started laughing even louder.
Everyone present there felt the warmth in their chest.
It was such a wholesome scene.
She completed the formalities and left for home with Destiny. They got her cleaned and made her eat and slept while hugging her.
Destiny's parents didn't want her and she was thrown in the dustbin near the orphanage. And later she got Heaven as her mother.
With the orders of the heavens and the game played by destiny, Heaven and Destiny met.
She would spend most of her time taking care of Destiny and whenever she left for her job, She would leave Serenity to take care of her.
Her job was only for 2 hours. Hence, it wasn't a big deal. They were having the best days of their lives until Destiny turned 4 and Heaven started getting threats from a random woman because her husband took Heaven's name while they were on it.
The woman was still a mystery and that's why to keep Destiny safe, she decided to keep her in the orphanage because she didn't have any more people she could trust her daughter with.
She was like a top secret only Serenity and Nivea knew.
Serenity and Heaven look at each other, a silent promise in their eyes.
"We will find that woman as soon as possible and take our child with us, home."
