Chapter 3 - 2

[2: Alas' Plan]

- Alisha's POV -

"Hey, are you my daddy?!"

Oh no, I'm in trouble!

I quickly approached Alas and grabbed him. I've heard that President Han is strict and intimidating.

"Sorry! And thank you forhelping us!" I said, bowing slightly.

He might get angry and have us executed, who knows.

He just stared at me, so I awkwardly smiled. Oh crap, I knew it, he's going to have us executed!

"You look familiar, have we met somewhere before?" he asked me.

I was thinking the same thing. I feel like I've seen him before, but I can't remember where.

His eyes give me a sense of familiarity.

"No, Sir. This is our first meeting, I believe," I replied, and he nodded.

"President, you're going to be late for your meeting in Russia," his secretary said.

He smiled at Alas and patted his head.

Damn, he's handsome when he smiles! Stay calm, Alisha. But I really thought he would be mad at Alas.

"You got a smart kid," he said before walking past me.

I looked at Alas and put him down.

"Alas, stop assuming that every man who looks like you is your dad. We might get into trouble, and then they'll punish your pretty mommy! Do you want that?"

I asked him, and he shakes his head.

Good, at least my baby knows how to listen.

Every time Kristy invites me to meet someone new, I always refuse because I'm not interested. I'm happy with just Alas and me. But Alas... even though he doesn't say it, I know he longs for a father's care. Every man he sees or meets who looks like him, he immediately assumes is his dad.

"Ali!"

I looked up and saw a man wearing a hat and mask.

"Dustin, you jerk! I've been looking for you!" I whispered loudly.

Why does he keep coming back? He's just a burden to me.

"Sorry, I had a hard time escaping from other fans. Even with a disguise, they still recognize me," he reasoned.

He held onto my arm, trying to hide behind me. Probably hiding from any potential die-hard fans.

We walked out of the airport and successfully got into a taxi without anyone recognizing him.

He took off his hat and mask when we got into the taxi.

"Wow, Alas, Uncle Dustin missed you!" Dustin said happily and was about to hug Alas, but he quickly avoided him.

"I didn't miss you," Alas coldly replied, focusing back on his computer.

Dustin frowned at Alas's response.

"Why are you like this to me, Alas? I thought I was your favorite uncle?" Dustin joked, but Alas ignored him.

Oh, they're always like this. Apart from Kristy and Dustin... no one else knows I have a son.

It's not that I want to hide him, but if Anya finds out he's my son, she'll never leave us alone. I won't forgive myself if anything bad happens to my son because of her.

When we arrived home, I prepared Dustin's sleeping area. He always stays here for a day when he returns to the country. Tomorrow, he'll go to their Entertainment Building.

I put Alas to bed before heading to my room.

I tried to sleep, but suddenly my phone rang. I quickly picked it up to see what it was about. It was a notification about the press conference for the upcoming TV series.

I froze when I saw the list of actors, one familiar face among them. Anya was there...

I clenched my fist when I saw how happy she looked talking about her married life, career, and business.

Things that she took from me.

Just why? Why is she experiencing all these good things? Does she even deserve it?

I shook my head at my thoughts. I placed my phone on the bedside table and found myself staring at the ceiling.

I shouldn't dwell on these thoughts. What's done is done. What I should focus on now is how to ensure I give Alas a good life.

- Alas' POV -

As soon as Mommy closed the door, I opened my eyes. I grabbed my laptop and turned it on.

The man at the airport earlier. I'm sure he's my daddy.

I have a strong feeling that he's my dad.

But what puzzles me... why doesn't Mommy know him? If he's my dad, why don't they recognize each other.

It doesn't make sense but my gut is telling me that he is indeed my dad.

I tracked the location of Han Company and hacked into their computer system.

Every laptop they open will have this message displayed.

"Aushi Han, let's meet at Genoa Restaurant. Tomorrow morning, 8:00 am sharp!"

I'm sure Aushi will see this, right? He'll surely be alarmed and forced to meet me.

Tomorrow, I'll find out if he's really my dad or if we just happen to look alike.

And if he really is my dad... why did he leave Mommy alone like this? Did he hurt Mommy like my Mom's family did to her?

Because if he did, I won't let all the people who hurt my Mommy get away with it.
