Chapter 7
The sound of fork to plate filled the room, as Ansel's and his parents–Lobo and Esmeralda–had their dinner, which was steak cooked to perfection with red wine by the side.
While both of his parents were engaged in idle talk about random things that didn't seem to even concern him, his mind was filled with things that even himself can't comprehend.
"Ansel." His mom called, which snapped him out of his reverie as he looked at her with an annoyed look on his face.
"What?" He said with venom laced in his tone, that it almost made Esmeralda flinch.
"I-i was just wondering why you haven't eaten your food yet?"
"Me not eating my food is pretty much none of your business."
"Of course it's my business. You are my son at the end of the day."
He glared at her with so much anger in him. "I do not claim you as my mother."
Hearing this words hurt Esmeralda, but she push it away. She really wants to know what's going on inside that head of his.
"Ansel, for the past three days you haven't eaten properly. If there is something you want off your chest, we your parents are here for you ok." She said in such a loving tone that it almost made Ansel soften a little bit.
"Well, it's nothing of your concern. Don't worry your head over such trivial things."
He stood up from the table, with his food still untouched.
"Where are you going too?" Lobo asked this time around.
"My room, i need some good night sleep." With that he left the dining room and head for his bedroom.
Esmeralda started crying, she didn't know what exactly went wrong with her son. She tries her best as a mother to get closer to him, however all he does is push her away. She felt tired and frustrated with everything.
Lobo stood up from his sit, and went to console Esmeralda. Hugging her shoulders and kissing the top of her head gently.

Ansel sat on his bed, feeling frustrated. His plans weren't moving, mostly due to his father being alive. He needed his father out of the picture and fast or else he won't be able to achieve his goals.
He needed to go for a walk, clear his mind off somethings. If he stays here he might just run mad.

Maria should really learn how not to make stupid decisions in this life. There was a time in elementary school that she went looking for pet dog that disappeared for no reason.
Her parents warned her not to find her dog that they–her parents–would find it themselves. But sadly she is known for being a very stubborn person that never heeds to the warnings given to her.
And in the process, she got lost in the woods for three days, contracted a disease that almost killed her and would have probably died of hypothermia.
Luckily she was found by a random passerby who took her to the forest ranger, who in the process called her parents. Who came to pick her up.
She couldn't really remember what happened, all she remember was her mom yelling at her in Spanish and her dad looking very disappointed in her.
And yet for some reason she wasn't paying attention to what they were even saying. She actually did see her dog, it's just that her dog was almost unrecognizable, if not for the collar that had his name written on it she probably wouldn't have been able to tell that it was him. The sight that she saw was to morbid for a girl her age to look at.
That was her first time seeing the death of something she loves, it looked sickening. But she didn't even seem phase by it, what she felt was sadness that she couldn't protect him.
She didn't even know why her mind replayed such a memory in her mind, or maybe she was having strong sense of dejavu from he walking into the forest.
But the only downside is that, it was almost night time. She really need to learn how to stop making stupid decisions.
But this stupid decision was something that she was desperate for, she needed the help of that man that she met some few days ago.
The sun was almost setting and she needed to get to his place very quickly before it gets dark. She was lucky to have a good memory, if not she would have gotten lost.
She saw his house, which was a very nice and cozy bungalow laying deep within the woods. She ran up to the front door and knocked softly on the door.
Minutes later the handle to the door jigged and opened up and out came that same good looking man wearing a plain with shirt and jeans, his hair was left in his messy state without any plans of it being touched.
A scowl creeped up to his face as he saw as he let out a groan of frustration.
"What are you doing here?"
"I am here because I realize that I desperately need your help."
"Well you are not getting any help from me, so leave."
"Are you actually going to throw a lady into the unknown woods by this time of the night?" She asked in tone that irked the man.
"I am not the one that decided to foolishly come here all by myself now am I? So of course I can tell you to leave right this instance."
Maria looked behind her, it has gotten really dark and it actually seems that she needed to spend the night at his place once again.
She turn her attention to him. "But it's dark and scary. I don't want to die."
She knew the type of person that he was, he wasn't going to let her go into the woods all by herself this late into the night. It was completely unethical.
"Fine, come on in."
