Chapter 20 - SUGARPLUM

The wedding reception was over. Eisley sat on a small foamy stool while Grace combed her hair for the night.

"Why does it always feel soothing when you comb my hair?" Eisley asked, staring through the mirror with a smile.

Grace laughed. "Maybe because I'm patient?" She said, moving away. "Why don't we change you into something lighter?"

"Oh, don't worry about it. Irwin and I aren't spending the night together."

"What do you mean you aren't? Mr Kent asked us to dress you up. You two are going somewhere. He didn't tell you?"

"Does he ever tell me? Do you have an idea where we are going, though?" Eisley asked, looking up at Grace. She shook her head as a sign of no.

"You know I don'tโ€”" Eisley rasped at the sight of Irwin at the door. "Oh, what are you doing here?" She immediately grabbed a towel to cover up.

"That would be all," Irwin said to Grace, who immediately bowed and left the room.

"You know I'm not done dressing up. You can't come in," Eisley giggled, moving away from his hold.

Their eyes met once he grabbed her arms, almost like a timing bomb, waiting for her to drop the towel. Irwin's eyes traced over her in lust. Eisley's chest rose and fell as she flushed. However, she grabbed the piece of clothing tight.

"Put on something. We are leaving this night. Take a few things you would like to wear there. I recommend you take thick clothes," Irwin said and walked away.

Eisley released her breaths, panting as she recalled every touch of his. How could she ever forget that?

Eisley stepped out in a long gown, floor length. She held her bag in her left hand, walking into the living room when some figure blocked her. She looked up to the person in front of her.

"I thought we agreed to end this show?" Magnus said. Eisley glanced at him head to toe.

"I'm going for my honeymoon. Come on," she sighed heavily, rolling her eyes, even though she had no memory of such agreement.

"Eisley, please, come home to me," Magnus begged. Eisley looked behind him, and her eyes met his again.

"Quit asking. It would never happen. Just sit and watch me do everything you said I can't do to Irwin Kent. Watch me be happier. Something you could have given me, but you chose to torment me."

Eisley was about to leave when Magnus caught her wrist. A look flashed in her eyes before he could access them. It changed, and she struggled out of his arms.

"Mrs Kent," Robert called as she stepped outside. Eisley paused and looked at him. "Is something wrong?"

Eisley looked around for Irwin, and he was nowhere to be found yet. She pouted, approaching him.

"I've never seen one change so quickly," Eisley said. His grimace matched hers, but a smile whined his lips.

"It's only right to address you as I address Mr Kent," Robert said, head lowered. Eisley brows raised, and she nodded, heading away.

The car door opened for Eisley, and Irwin wasn't in the car. Suddenly, she heard heavy footsteps and found him walking towards the car. The door shut, but she watched him go over entering the other side.

Irwin got into the car, and the engine started.

Three hours later, Eisley had dozed off. As she opened her eyes and found them still on the road, she turned to Irwin, who seemed busy on his laptop.

"Where are we going?" She asked quietly. Irwin adjusted his glasses and looked at her. His green eyes sparkled through the lens.

"You'll find out," He replied flatly.

Eisley reclined against the leather. As she gazed out the window, she could see a house, and she got closer trees shielded it until they stopped at a gate. Eisley looked forward to finding a large gate opening up.

The driver drove through, and soon, the house she could see was now visible to her. A beautiful, rustic Mediterranean-style villa nestled in a lush, mountainous environment. The house has a traditional tiled roof with a distinctive arched entryway and windows, creating a charming and inviting exterior.

The door opened for her once they had parked. Eisley got down, and Morgan had opened the door. She continued staring at the magnificent house.

"Why don't you wash up and come down for lunch?" Irwin said, kissing her forehead, "I have something to round up."

Eisley went upstairs to the room Morgan had directed her. It was a room for couples. Eisley stood confused at the large bed at the centre of the room. She had already gotten excited by the set-up before any confirmation.

Eisley looked around the room, and there was a large wooden door. She opened the door, and her mouth dropped at the spacious outdoor terrace with a large swimming pool and lounge chairs, allowing for relaxation and enjoyment of the scenic surroundings. The terrace is adorned with well-maintained landscaping, including trees and shrubs, which blend seamlessly with the natural setting.

"Do you like it?" She heard and turned around. Irwin dropped his glasses by his bed.

"Yeah. It's feels so natural and full of light," She replied, walking closer to him.

Irwin nodded. "That's good, it's my grandfather's, I haven't come here in a while,"

"Why? It's beautiful, and..." she inhaled the fresh air. "Windy,"

"It felt too special, maybe."

Eisley blushed. "There's a lake outside the mansion," her feet stopped in front of him. Eisley accessed the white shirt and khaki trousers. "We could stop by, pay it a little visit," her eyes wandered around his body.

"Oh, the lakes now," Irwin asked, his tone filled with mockery. Eisley laughed, burying her head in his arms.

The room became silent, "I thought you said no honeymoon. Do I get to share a bed with you?"

Irwin stared at her, his gaze searched hers. Thick silence ensured the sound of the wind. Eisley shivered. Irwin's eyes turned cold with lust and passion. As Eisley attempted to take a step backwards, he caught her by her waist crashing into her lips.

In the middle of the night, Eisley opened her eyes, and Irwin was gone from the bed. She whispered a sigh, getting up.

She grabbed a nightdress wearing it before she could open the door. The lights were turned on for her to see her way down the stairs. Sneakily, she searched for the kitchen and found a door, opening it quietly.

"Finally, let's see what we have here," She held her stomach as she was famished.

Eisley grabbed a can of ice cream and chocolate. As she grabbed all these sweets. It dawned on her who exactly were eating these sweets.

However, she placed it on the counter, smiling until she heard a click that sounded so familiar. Eisley gulped, and the lights came on.

"Jeez, I could have fired if I didn't know," Irwin said, with a cigarette in his mouth and a gun pointing towards her.

Eisley remained motionless due to the shock. Even as she tried to fight down the panic, her hands were shaking restlessly. Remembering that one click and she was gone.

"Are you eating?" Eisley pupils moved, glaring at him as he asked the obvious. "Come on," he dropped the gun in his robe. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean to frighten you,"

Eisley exhaled her prolonged breath, "I woke up, and you weren't in bed, I thought it's best I got some snacks."

Irwin walked over to her and kissed her forehead.

"Why can't you just say one night with me? You've done it before," Eisley pouted, waiting for his answer, but he said nothing. The first time, which was the night time, was because Magnus was in the room.

Seeing he wasn't responding. Eisley decided to change the topic. "Does your men take ice cream too?"

"That I don't know, they have their own quarters," Irwin replied, leaning on the counter edge, staring at her and watching her take out a spoonful of ice cream. Eisley darted at him, but the intensity of his gaze caused her to almost choke.

"Don't stare at me like that," her voice flattered as his eyes never left her.

"Like how, cupcake?" Their eyes met, and Irwin raised his two brows at her.

She stared at the ice cream, unable to respond. "Like I'm some dessert -" she gulped hard, staring at him.

"Did you figure it out already?" Irwin asked, pinning her from behind. "That's you're my dessert?" He whispered in a dangerously low voice.

Irwin pushed her hair backwards, exposing her bare neck. "Tell me, my lady, how do you want me to go on you?"

"Don't go away tonight," a shudder coursed through her, feeling his breath pour on her.

"I'm sorry, sugarplum, I have to," his lips traced every corner of her skin as he laid soft kisses.

"Then, we can't. Don't," Eisley turned around, wrapping her hands around his neck and craning her hands into his hair

"Should I stop?" He paused, staring straight into her green eyes. Her body was already shivering shamelessly to his touch. "You're saying otherwise down here, plum, you're begging for me," a shiver wrecked out of her. That was enough sign for Irwin to keep going.
