As Kai stepped out of the car, he noticed the four boys still staring at him. One of them, Platon McHager, took a step forward, a smirk on his face.
"What do you want, Platon?" Kai asked, his eyes narrowing.
Platon said, "Hey, Kai, I'm just standing here in front of you, and I wanted to tell you, Kai, that I want to be friends with you. Let's be friends."
Platon tried his first move, stretching out his hand, hiding a shock machine in his palm. He thought to himself, "I gotta make this sharp and short. I cannot be humiliated like this again."
As Platon stretched out his hand, Kai felt the jolt of energy flowing through his body. Platon smiled, thinking he had the upper hand.
Kai looked Platon in the eyes, smiled, and drew back his hand. As Kai gripped Platon's hand, he squeezed hard, and Platon said, "Stop it, bro. It's just a handshake."
Kai ripped the shock machine from Platon's hand, rendering it useless. Platon thought to himself, "How could Kai do that? How could he be so casual?"
Kai said, "Seems like you don't want to be friends."
Platon asked, "What do you mean by that?"
Kai replied, "Look at this," holding up the shock machine.
Platon thought, "Is he even
The crowd gathered around Platon and Kai, murmuring in awe. One boy whispered, "Look, Platon's going for a shot. Last time, he shocked me, but Kai didn't even flinch."
Emily watched from the side, her eyes wide with admiration.
Platon, undeterred, sneered at Kai. "Okay, you survived this one. But how can you survive the next one?"
Kai heard a whistling sound, and three to four eggs came flying towards him. With a smooth move, Kai caught two eggs and directed them back at Platon. The other two eggs he directed at Platon's friends.
The entire scene unfolded in a matter of seconds, leaving Platon covered in rotten eggs.
Unbeknownst to Platon, Kai possessed superpowers. Kai had used his abilities to manipulate the air, blocking the eggs' trajectory and redirecting them at Platon and his friends.
Kai stood unscathed, a smirk on his face. "Are these your silly games, Platon? Or did you learn a lesson?"
Platon glared at Kai. "You..."
Kai interrupted, "You did this to yourself. Remember, you did this to yourself."
Platon seethed, "This isn't the end of it. You just wait, Kai. Just you wait."
The crowd erupted in laughter, teasing Platon about his misfortune. As the crowd dispersed, Mike turned to Kai and asked, "Bro, how did you do that? You're amazing!"
Kai caught Emily's eye and walked over to her. "Hi, baby," he said, giving her a hug.
Emily blushed and replied, "Hi, Kai."
Kai leaned in, and Emily's eyes fluttered closed. Their lips met, and the schoolchildren surrounding them gasped.
They gasped in surprise as they witnessed Kai and Emily sharing a kiss. "Wow, look at Kai! He's in a relationship with Emily!" they exclaimed.
As the commotion died down, the students headed to their next class. They took their seats, and after a brief prayer, their English teacher, Miss Catherine, began speaking.
"Today, I have an exciting announcement to make," she said. "We're going to work on a project that will test your writing skills. Each of you will write a story worth a thousand words. The best story, scoring between eighty to one hundred percent, will receive an award and a chance to participate in the debate session."
The students listened intently as Miss Catherine continued, "The top three schools will compete, and the winners will receive cash prizes. The first prize is Ten Thousand Rand, the second prize is Five Thousand Rand, and the third prize is Two Thousand Rand. Additionally, the first prize winner will receive a voucher for a family spa day and a resort trip."
The classroom erupted in a mixture of gasps and excited whispers. The students were thrilled at the prospect of winning such amazing prizes.
Miss Catherine's eyes scanned the room before settling on Kai. "And, Kai, I want to speak with you after class."
Kai wondered what Miss Catherine wanted to discuss with him.
As the bell rang, signaling the end of the period, Kai approached Miss Catherine's desk. "Okay, I wanted to speak to you about something," she said. "Don't you want to enter the drama class?"
Kai's eyes lit up. "Yes, I wanted to enter the drama class."
Miss Catherine smiled. "It's still early, but we're going to perform Romeo and Juliet. We're looking for new talent, and I think you'd be interested."
Kai nodded eagerly. "Yes, I'm interested."
Miss Catherine nodded. "Speak to Miss Ndlovu, the drama class teacher. She'll guide you through the process."
Kai thanked Miss Catherine and wished her a nice day before heading to his next class.
In his math class, Mister Ramu noticed Kai's tardiness. "Hm, Kai, why are you coming late to my class?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
Kai took a deep breath and approached Mister Ramu's desk. "I'm sorry I'm late, sir. I was speaking with Miss Catherine, and it took a bit longer than expected."
Mister Ramu's expression softened. "Alright, Kai. Just be on time next class, okay?"
Kai nodded, relieved. "Yes, sir. I'll make sure to be on time."
As the math class progressed, Kai answered questions with ease. When the class ended, the students headed to their break.
During the break, Emily, Mike, and Raymond approached Kai. Raymond asked for help with math problems, and Kai patiently explained the solutions.
After the break, the students returned to their classes. When the final bell rang, signaling the end of the school day, Kai turned to Emily and said, "Remember, you're going to ride with me every afternoon. You're not only my friend but also my girlfriend."
Emily smiled, clearly delighted by Kai's words.
As the final bell rang, Kai walked Emily to his car. They got in, and Mike joined them, buckling his seatbelt.
"Hey, guys," Mike said, grinning. "What's up?"
"Not much, just heading home," Kai replied, starting the engine.
As they drove, the three friends chatted about their day. After a while, Kai dropped Emily off at her house.
"See you later, Emily," Kai said, smiling.
"Bye, guys," Emily replied, waving as she got out of the car.
Once Emily was gone, Kai turned to Mike. "Bro, I have to give you your car today, so I'll drop you at your house to get changed."
Mike's eyes lit up. "Yea, bro! I've been waiting for this moment. Thanks for the amazing gift, Kai."
Kai smiled. "You're welcome, bro. I'm just glad I could do something for you."
Mike grinned, clearly thrilled. "I'm going to take good care of that car, I promise."
Kai pulled up to his sleek mansion in Oakwood Hills, Mike riding shotgun. As they stepped out of the car, Mike gazed at the grandeur of Kai's home.
"Look at this house!" Mike exclaimed. "Oh, bro, your house looks cool!"
Kai smiled. "Isn't this your second time in this house?"
Mike nodded. "Yeah, bro, it's my second time. But still, bro, your house looks cool! I love the spaciousness."
Kai chuckled. "Make yourself at home, bro. There are snacks and everything. I'm just gonna go change."
As Kai headed upstairs, Mike wandered around the house, taking in the luxurious decor. A few minutes later, Kai returned, dressed in fresh clothes.
"Alright, bro, let's get out," Kai said, leading Mike back to the garage.
As they stepped inside, Mike's eyes widened at the sight of the cars. Kai walked over to one of them, a sleek silver Mercedes-Benz S-Class S 650 Maybach.
"Welcome to the feature presentation, bro," Kai said with a grin. "This car, right here, is the one I want to give you."
Mike's jaw dropped. "What, bro? This car is amazing! I didn't think you'd give me this one, but I love it!"
Kai chuckled. "I figured you'd like it. It's a great car."
Mike shook his head, still in awe. "Thanks, bro. This is the best gift ever!"
Kai said, "Pleasure, bro." Then he said, "Mike, get in. Take a look at it." Mike got into the car, and Kai gave him the key. "Here's the key, bro." Mike took the key, opened the car door, and got in. As he started the engine, he exclaimed, "Woah, bro! The last time we drove this car, you were in the driver's seat. Now it's me!"
Mike drove the car out of the garage and parked it next to Kai's other car. The two cars stood side by side: the Mercedes-Benz S-Class and the Mercedes-Benz S-Class S 650 Maybach. The Rolls-Royce Ghost was still in the garage.
Kai said, "Bro, today we're going to go to the bank. I need to upgrade my bank card account. I still have the black card that Mister Reginald gave me, and I have my bank card. So, I transferred some money to my bank account. Do you want to come with me, bro?"
Mike agreed, "Yes, I'll go with you." They closed the garage and drove out in their two cars, one behind the other.
As they drove away, two of their neighbors, a man and a woman, watched them from across the street. "Look at them," the woman said. "They're driving out in two cars. A Mercedes-Benz S-Class and a Mercedes-Benz S-Class S 650 Maybach. Wow, those are great cars. These people must be rich."
The woman turned to the man and said, "Will you buy me the Mercedes S Maybach?"
The man replied, "You want to buy that car? You want to make me bankrupt, lady? This car is worth 1.2 million rand."
Kai and Mike arrived at the bank, parking their cars outside. People couldn't help but stare at the two luxurious vehicles. As they entered the bank, they were greeted by security, who led them to the tellers.
One of the tellers, a woman, looked up at them and said, "Hello, how may I help you?" Kai explained that he wanted to upgrade his bank account, and the teller looked surprised. "I want to upgrade my bank account," Kai said.
The teller raised an eyebrow. "Do you have an account here? Look at you, you're so young."
