As Alexander's words hung in the air, Kai's fingers continued to dance across the guitar strings, the melodic sounds filling the music store. Alexander's eyes widened in genuine surprise, his gaze fixed on Kai's skilled hands.
"You can play the guitar too?" he asked, his voice tinged with admiration. "You're a man of many talents, Kai." Alexander's words were laced with a hint of curiosity, and Kai couldn't help but smile, knowing that his friend was eager to learn more about his hidden skills.
Kai looked at Alexander and said, "Yes, I can play the guitar too." Kai thought back to the moments when he was playing the piano at Sophia's birthday. Alexander didn't believe that Kai could play the piano.
He was bragging on and on how he could play, and then something great happened. Bang, the door opened. Door was kicked open.
People were running wildly around the guitar store. One man with a scar on his face burst into the shop, his face twisted in a menacing scowl.
He took out an AK47 gun and said, "Everybody, get down! Throw all your jewelry into this bag. And you, shop owner, open up the till before I shoot you now." As he was doing this, Kai was sitting at the back of the store, standing up slowly.
Alexander was stunned by how quickly things were escalating in the shop. The robber had two accomplices with him.
When he sent them, he said, "Go and see what's happening in the back." There were two guys who went to the back. One pulled out a gun, a pistol, and the other one pulled out a pistol as well.
They went to Kai and Alexander. Mike was standing there, not knowing what to do. He was sweating profusely, and they came to Kai and Alexander, and Kai took Mike and Alexander, and said, "You boys, hand over all your jewelry now."
Kai fixed the robber with a steady gaze, his eyes locked on the man's face. The other guy said, "Are you deaf? Put all your jewelry into this bag now." Kai looked at this guy with anticipation. He didn't say anything, and Kai looked at him in the face and said, he communicated through his mind, and said to the one guy, "Heart attack."
Just when the other guy was looking at Kai, he clutched his chest and fell to his knees, and said, "What, what is happening?"
The other guy looked to the left, shocked with fear in his face. He wondered what was happening to his partner. Why was he having a heart attack? He didn't have any known illnesses.
As the guy looked at his partner, Bruno, he exclaimed, "What's happening?" Bruno lay unconscious on the ground. Kai suggested, "Maybe you should call an ambulance. Your friend needs to get to the hospital."
The guy glared at Kai, thinking, "He's making jokes now." He pointed his gun at Kai's head and snarled, "Stop making jokes, or I'll blow your head off."
Kai looked at the gun barrel, and in a flash, he disarmed the guy. The robber was shocked, wondering, "How did he take the gun from me without me feeling anything?"
Kai had put the man in an illusionary state, taking the gun from his hand without him noticing. Kai then said, "Here, you don't need this now." With lightning-fast speed, Kai punched the man, who fell back two meters.
Meanwhile, the leader of the robbers, who was collecting money at the till, called out, "Bruno, what's happening? Why are you guys taking so long? We're on a deadline!"
The leader, wearing a mask, walked to the back of the store and saw one of his men lying on the ground and the other on the floor. He thought, "What happened?" and demanded, "You three, tell me what just happened here, or I'll kill you."
Kai replied, "I think they had enough of playing, so I put them to sleep, just like babies." The people around them started laughing. The leader yelled, "Stop laughing! You think this is a joke? Today, I'll show you what's funny."
The leader of the robbers, his mask a stark contrast to his menacing gaze, was taken aback. "You know what's funny about all this?" Kai asked. "You're about to lose, and that's the only joke I'm going to show you."
The leader sneered, "You little brat, you're brave. I'll give you that. I don't need a gun to kill you. I'm only going to need a knife."
The leader stepped forward, a glinting knife in his hand. "You see this knife?" he sneered. "I'm going to cut your ear off."
Kai smiled calmly. "Oh, really? Why don't you go ahead and try?"
The leader lunged at Kai, but Kai dodged the knife with ease and caught it between his fingers. The leader's eyes widened in shock as he tried to pull the knife back, but Kai held it firm.
"How did you...?" the leader stuttered. "How could you do that?"
The onlookers gasped in amazement, and Alexander thought to himself, "Kai, this guy is amazing. He blocked a knife and caught it with his bare fingers. This only happens in movies."
Mike, meanwhile, was thinking, "This is the third time I've seen Kai pull off something incredible. Where did he learn these skills? I've known him my whole life, but this year, he's been full of surprises."
Kai and the leader were locked in a standoff. Kai tightened his grip on the knife, and with a swift motion, he flipped the leader off his feet. The leader landed on the ground, fear etched on his face.
Kai stepped closer, his eyes gleaming with a fierce intensity. "I told you, I'm going to take you down."
The onlookers gasped in amazement, wondering if they were witnessing a scene from a movie. "How did he just do that?" someone whispered. "Is he a martial artist?"
Kai took a step closer to the leader, pinning his hand to the ground with his foot. The leader screamed in agony, "You little brat, why did you do that?"
Kai's gaze was unyielding. "You just need to go to sleep. I'm tired of you."
As Kai spoke, the leader felt an overwhelming sensation wash over him. He struggled, but his eyelids grew heavy, and he fell into a deep sleep. Kai had executed a mental attack, rendering the leader unconscious.
The onlookers gasped again, shocked by Kai's incredible display of mental and physical prowess. The shop owner and teller approached Kai, beaming with gratitude. "You little boy, you just did something amazing! You'll receive an award of 100,000 rand."
The other shopkeepers in the area looked on with envy, wondering how Kai had managed to take down the robbers with such ease. "We could have done that," one of them muttered, but deep down, they knew they wouldn't have had the bravery to take on the armed robbers.
Mike and Alexander exchanged awestruck glances. Mike thought to himself, "Is this still my friend, or is this someone else entirely?" But as he looked into Kai's eyes, he knew that it was still his bro.
Alexander, meanwhile, was thinking, "This guy is full of surprises. First, he's a piano prodigy, then a guitar virtuoso, and now he's a martial arts expert. What else can he do?"
As the shopkeeper and manager, Mark, approached Kai, Mark greeted him warmly. Mark, the shop manager, was a middle-aged man with a warm smile. He had a slightly rounded build, with a paunchy stomach and a receding hairline. His eyes, a bright, warm brown, sparkled with kindness as he greeted Kai. He wore a crisp white shirt with a name tag that read "Mark" in bold letters, and a pair of dark-washed jeans that seemed a bit too formal for the casual music shop.
"Hello, my name is Mark," he said. "Today, you've shown an act of heroism. As a token of our gratitude, you can have anything you want in our shop, free of charge."
Kai looked at Mark, surprised, and asked, "Really?"
Mark nodded. "Yes, really. Take anything you want."
Kai thought for a moment, then began selecting items from the shop. He chose three guitars, one piano, and two microphones. As he loaded his car, he told Mark, "You don't have to worry about those guys; they'll be out for a while. You can call the police now."
The shopkeepers were still shaken, but they called the police. When the officer arrived, Mark and the other shopkeepers rushed to explain what had happened.
Officer Ramatlu, a tall, imposing figure with a stern expression, stepped out of the police car. He had a shaved head and a thick, well-groomed beard that framed his angular face. His bright, piercing eyes seemed to bore into those he looked at, as if sizing them up. He wore a crisp, navy-blue police uniform with a silver badge on his chest.
"What happened here?" Officer Ramatlu asked, surveying the scene.
Mark stepped forward, still shaken. "These three guys came in, waving guns and threatening us. They demanded that we hand over all our valuables. But then...then this young boy here..." Mark gestured to Kai, "...he took them down. It was incredible. He used some kind of martial arts skills to disarm them and knock them out."
Officer Ramatlu's eyes widened in surprise. "I see," he said. "Well, we'll need to take statements from all of you. But first, let's get these three men into custody."
