As Kai and Mike were sitting there, Kai told Mike, "Yo, bro, I'm going to stay here with my mom for a bit." Mike told Kai, "Yo, bro, I'm going home. Gonna pick up my mom and dad from work." Kai said, "Yes, go and pick your mom and dad up from work." Mike went out and said, "Have a nice day, bro."
As Mike left, Kai and his mom were sitting there. Kai said to his mom, "Mom, after what happened today, can you take some days off work? Are you going to be okay working tomorrow? Because I don't believe there's going to be work tomorrow, and for a few days, you can tell your employer that you cannot work further anymore.
"It's because it was traumatizing, and you can give him a letter. You know, mom, that we have money now, and it's still on the table for you to give up your job and come here, be at home, and manage some things. We can open up a business, mom, maybe our own grocery store or something."
His mom replied, "Yes, Kai, baby Kai, I will think about it, boy, but I don't think I'm going to go to work for these four days. That thing that happened at work was really, really traumatic, and it took a toll on me."
Kai said, "Okay, mom." After Kai and his mom were done talking, he went to his room. When he got into his room, he did what he always did - he took his book and opened it. It was a family lineage book about his powers and things that he could do.
Kai thought to himself, "I can manipulate people's minds now, and go into their minds and make them do things." He thought to himself, "What I did today, taking those robbers to sleep, those robbers in that camera shop, they were asking for it."
Kai opened the book again, but this time, he knew he couldn't fulfill his powers, but the book already said that he must create his own powers. Kai thought to himself, "How do I create my own powers?" Kai sat on his bed and closed his eyes. He concentrated hard and felt a rush of power going through him. When he opened his eyes, he felt himself a little bit in the air.
Kai thought to himself, "Ah, I'm levitating. I didn't think I was going to be levitating. I know that I can manipulate the air, the water, and all things, create winter, levitate. This is something else."
As Kai thought, looking at himself levitating, he told himself, "Eh, I got to go to bed, and it's already eleven o'clock at night. I got to sleep and get my rest for the whole day tomorrow." So Kai went to sleep.
The next day, in the morning, he woke up. He got ready and opened his door. His mom was busy in the kitchen, and he said to his mom, "Mom, why are you being so busy in the kitchen? You should leave things alone. You're not well."
His mom said, "Kai, I got to make you breakfast, and I got to take care of myself because I might get even sicker from yesterday. No time to slack off and all that." Kai said, "No, mom, you're not going to work. You're here, and I can take care of you. I can do things for you."
His mom said, "Okay, my boy." So Kai said, "Okay, mom, before I go to school, you wanted to know about what happened yesterday." His mom looked at him curiously.
Kai told his mom, "What happened yesterday is that I fought a man in a shop. This man wanted to rob us, and he wanted to do bad things to us." His mom asked, "What are you okay? What happened?" Kai told his mom, "No, mom, I'm a smart guy. Your son is smart. I did something that took care of him."
His mom said, "What? What did you do?" Kai quickly whipped up a story, careful not to reveal his magical skills. His mom said, "Okay, it's great that you're alright. I'm just glad you're alright." Kai said, "Yes, mom. And I've met another guy. He gave me some shares in his company, so I think I will meet him. It's Mtembu."
His mom was shocked and said, "Mtembu?" Kai said, "Yes. You also know him?" His mom said, "Yes. Mtembu was more like your father's friend. Your father always talked about Mtembu and all that." Kai thought to himself, "Well, maybe Mtembu was connected to his father. Like Mister Reginald is connected to his father."
Kai thought to himself and said, "I have to find out about Mtembu's life and things."
Kai said, "Okay, mom. When I come back from school, we have to talk more about Mister Mtembu." His mom said, "Yes. Mister Mtembu has a daughter. She's in college now." Kai said, "Mom, you know them that much?" His mom replied, "Yeah. Your father went to meetings with Mister Mtembu. I think he worked under him. Your father was a freelancer. He worked here and there."
Kai thought to himself, "This sounds fishy. I think my dad didn't tell my mom that much about his companies and what he did." He remembered his dad telling him about having many companies and not wanting to tell his mom about the wealth. He only gave his mom enough to live comfortably.
Kai said, "Okay, mom. We'll talk later about that after I go to school." He went out of the house and got into his Mercedes Benz S-Class car. As he drove through the neighborhood, he thought to himself, "Yeah, things happen."
When he got to the school parking lot, he noticed something was off. He thought, "I don't see Mike's car. I gave him the car yesterday, but I don't see his car. What's happening now?" He dialed Mike's number, but there was no ring, no answer. He thought, "Is Mike in danger?"
Kai decided to call Mike's dad. When he answered, Kai said, "Hello, it's Mike's friend. I want to know how Mike is. Is he coming to school?" Mike's dad replied, "Oh boy, I forget to tell you that something really bad has happened to Mike." Kai's face filled with shock as he asked, "What? What happened?"
Mike's dad explained, "As Mike dropped us off from home, he went back into town to look for some things, and he got robbed. His phone was taken, but luckily he got off without a scratch on his face." Kai listened intently, his concern growing.
Mike's dad continued, "He said three burly guys robbed him. They said they wanted to teach him a lesson. And those guys told him specifically that he should not hang out with people like you." Kai's eyes narrowed, determined to get to the bottom of this.
Mike's dad pleaded, "Please, I don't want things to happen to my son more like this.
Kai asked Mike's dad, "Okay, so where is Mike now? Is he okay?" Mike's dad replied, "Oh, my son is here at home. He doesn't want to come out of his room. He's so embarrassed. He didn't even want to call you. Maybe he thinks that you'll be embarrassed or something like that. He just gave him this car, and now he's been robbed."
Kai reassured him, "No, no, no. After school, I will go to him. I'll talk to him. I'll see how I can fix this." Mike's dad said, "Okay, Kai." They said their goodbyes, and Kai hung up the phone.
Kai thought to himself, "This is interesting. First, my mom's store gets burned, and now my friend is being robbed. I think they're being strategic. They want to get to me. They can't come to me straight, but I'll figure this out."
Determined, Kai went through his school routine, but his mind was preoccupied. He thought, "If these things keep happening, they'll get to my girl Emily, and I don't want to get Emily into trouble. So I'll deal with these persons. I'll find out who they are, and they'll know who I am."
During his break, Kai went to the library. He walked through the quiet aisles, lined with shelves of books, and sat down at a computer terminal. He typed away, searching for information on computers. As he scrolled through the results, he thought, "These computers are great."
Kai noticed the library's modern facilities and thought, "Mister Reginald donated some money, so that's why they could buy so many laptops and computers."
As Kai delved deeper into his research, children in the library couldn't help but stare. They whispered to each other, "Wow, is he crazy? Why is he flipping through books, and why does he have so many books around him?" Kai ignored them, focusing on his task.
After finding the information he needed, Kai worked on the computer, tracing the location of the stolen car. He discovered that the car was located in a building. Kai's eyes narrowed as he pieced together the clues.
He thought, "I can use this computer stuff to my advantage. I'll show them what I'm capable of." As people walked into the library, they couldn't help but notice Kai's intense focus.
Kai finally found the information he was looking for - the person behind the robbery was none other than Mister Braxton. Kai's eyes flashed with anger as he thought, "It's him. It was Mister Braxton. I will get to him. Didn't he get enough lessons?"
Kai began to formulate a plan to take revenge on Mister Braxton. He thought, "First, I will destroy his company. I will destroy his companies and make him frustrated. And then I'll come for him and his children. He doesn't get to come after my family and get away with it."
