Kai and Mike drove in silence, their cars roaring as they made their way through the neighborhood. They finally arrived at Mike's house, and as Mike pulled into the yard, Kai followed closely behind.
Mike jumped out of his car, excitement radiating from his face. "Hey, Dad! Look, I got my car back!" he exclaimed.
Mike's father rushed out of the house, surprise etched on his face. "What? How did you...? When did you...? You got your car back? Did you tell the police? Did they find out...?"
Mike shook his head. "No, I think my bro Kai did. He found out where the car was, and I don't know what he did, but he found it."
Mike's father turned to Kai, gratitude in his eyes. "Thank you, Kai, for getting my son's car back. But you shouldn't have gone to such great lengths to get it back yourself."
Kai smiled. "Mike, you're like family to me. You're like my own brother. I don't have any siblings, and when I found Mike, he treated me like a brother. So, I'll go to the ends of the world to make him happy."
Mike's father nodded, a hint of a smile on his face. "You're a brave boy, Kai. You're a brave boy for doing that, and for going to such great lengths to make sure my son gets his car back."
Kai shrugged. "That's what I do."
Just then, Mike's mother rushed out of the house, tears streaming down her face. "Son, you got your car back?!" she exclaimed, rushing to hug Mike.
Mike nodded, smiling. "Yes, Mum. I'm safe, and I got my car back."
Mike's mother turned to Kai, her eyes filled with gratitude. "Thank you, Kai. We're just glad Mike is safe, and he got his car back."
As they chatted, Kai's mind began to wander. He remembered that he still had unfinished business with Mister Baxter.
The scene shifted to a luxurious room where Mister Bags sat in his lover's room, confined to a wheelchair. His sliced mouth spread across his face into a twisted grin as he contemplated his next move.
"Yes, I'm done with that Kai boy," he thought. "He thinks he can't mess with me. Look what's happened to him—his friend's car, his mother's safety. Now, you can't stop me. I have a plan, and it's already in motion. I'll crush Kai and everyone he loves." The determination in Mister Bags' eyes intensified, fueling his sinister plot.
Mister Baxter was deep in thought, contemplating his next move. Suddenly, his phone rang, breaking the silence. He looked at the screen, wondering who could be calling him. He decided to ignore it, thinking it might be a trivial matter. But the phone rang again, persistently.
Mister Baxter picked it up, his voice firm. "Yes?"
"Boss, it's Bruno," the voice on the other end replied, sounding shaken.
Mister Baxter's expression turned serious. "What happened, Bruno? What is it?"
Bruno's voice trembled. "Uh, boss, this job is too dangerous. That boy, Kai...he's not normal."
Mister Baxter's eyes narrowed. "What do you mean?"
Bruno took a deep breath. "He came to our warehouse, took the car...and he just walked out. My men tried to stop him, but...but he's too powerful."
Mister Baxter's face darkened. "You stupid fool! How could you let this happen? I thought you were well-trained."
Bruno defended himself. "Sir, you wouldn't understand. Even bullets couldn't stop him. Two of my best men fought him, and they lost in just three moves."
Mister Baxter's anger intensified. "What? You said bullets? And two of your best men? Bruno, I thought you were a professional. I paid you twenty thousand rand to take care of this. You're useless!"
Bruno tried to explain. "Sir, it's not like that. He did some kind of voodoo on me. When I came back to my senses, I couldn't move. I just saw him drive away with the car. And the two guards at the gate...they were just lying on the floor, no bruises or anything. It's like they just fainted."
Mister Baxter scoffed. "Voodoo? You expect me to believe that? You're just making excuses for your failure."
Bruno warned, "Sir, this boy is dangerous. I think we should stay away from him."
Mister Baxter's response was immediate. "Nonsense! You're talking nonsense. I don't believe in voodoo or any of that superstition. You're just useless."
With that, Mister Baxter slammed the phone to the ground, ending the call.
On the other end, Bruno was left saying, "Hello? Hello, Mister Baxter? Are you still there?" But there was only silence.
Bruno thought to himself, "Well, I'm not doing jobs like this anymore. I almost died."
Mister Baxter sat in his room, his face contorted in anguish. "No, no, no! How could this be? That puny boy can't defeat me!" He ranted, his voice echoing off the walls.
Suddenly, his son burst into the room. "Father, what's wrong? What happened?"
Mister Baxter forced a calm tone. "Nothing, son. I'm fine."
His son's concern deepened. "Father, please tell me what's troubling you. You're pushing me away."
Mister Baxter hesitated before speaking. "That boy...Kai...he's the one I robbed, remember? The car I took from him. He came to our warehouse and took it back. I thought I had him under control, but he outsmarted me. And to make matters worse, he has superhuman strength. He dodged bullets and did some kind of voodoo spell."
His son's eyes widened. "Superhuman strength? Voodoo? Father, you're not making sense."
Just then, his son's phone rang. He answered, listening intently. "Hello? Who is this?"
The voice on the other end asked, "Is your father there? Do you know where he is?"
His son replied, "Yes, I do. Who are you?"
The voice explained, "I'm in charge of your father's finances at the company. I need to speak with him urgently."
Mister Baxter's son handed him the phone. "Father, someone wants to talk to you."
Mister Baxter took the phone, his voice firm. "Yes, Simon? What's happening?"
Simon's voice was shaky. "Sir, the shareholders are pulling out. They held an emergency meeting without you. And Mr. Reginald cancelled our contract without explanation."
Mister Baxter's face turned red with rage. "No, no, no! Find out what's going on!"
Mister Baxter's face turned pale as he listened to Simon's dire forecast. "Bankruptcy in three days? Impossible!" he exclaimed.
Simon's voice trembled. "Yes, sir. Our sources indicate a catastrophic collapse."
Mister Baxter demanded answers. "Find out why Mister Reginald cancelled our contract. He's our largest client, and his withdrawal will devastate us."
Simon reported, "We've tried contacting him, but he won't respond. We've also sent undercover agents, but they couldn't gather any information."
Mister Baxter's anger grew. "What have you learned recently?"
Simon hesitated. "We discovered that Mister Reginald has a son, and you apparently offended him."
Mister Baxter's eyes widened. "A son? I thought he had a daughter."
Simon continued, "Our sources confirm it's a son, and his name is Kai. Mister Baxter's face fell as the truth dawned on him. "I've stepped into a trap. I didn't know Kai was connected to Mister Reginald."
Simon's voice was laced with concern. "Sir, we must tread carefully. This could be the end of us."
Mister Baxter's world was crumbling. He dropped the phone, his mind reeling with the consequences of his actions.
Unbeknownst to Kai, a storm was brewing at the mansion of Mister Baxter. The consequences of Kai's actions were unfolding, and Mister Baxter's empire was on the brink of collapse.
Kai, oblivious to the chaos he had unleashed, stood in Mike's room, chatting with Mike and his father. The atmosphere was relaxed, with the sound of laughter and juice glasses clinking in the background.
Just then, Kai's phone rang, shrill in the silence. He picked up, his voice calm. "Hello, Mister Reginald. May I help you with something?"
Mister Reginald's voice was triumphant. "Oh, Kai, it's done. Mister Baxter's downfall is imminent."
Kai's curiosity was piqued. "What is done, Mister Reginald? Tell me."
Mister Reginald's response sent a shiver down Kai's spine. "The shares will be exposed in three days. The news will reveal all the fraud and deceit."
Kai's voice remained calm, but his mind was racing. "So quickly, Mister Reginald? You wanted it done in three days."
Mister Reginald's tone was matter-of-fact. "You're a big player, Kai. You have hundreds of thousands of millions of rands in shares and billions. You shouldn't be surprised."
As Kai conversed with Mister Reginald, he stood in Mike's room, his expression unreadable. Mike and his father watched, sensing the tension.
Kai continued, "Thank you, Mister Reginald. I appreciate your trust in me. You're like a father to me."
Mister Reginald's words dripped with paternal affection. "Kai, I'd always do it for you. You're like my little boy."
The call ended, but the implications lingered. Kai's relationship with Mister Reginald had evolved into something more sinister. The stakes were higher, and the consequences more devastating.
Meanwhile, at the Baxter mansion, Mister Baxter's world was crumbling. His empire was on the brink of collapse, and he was powerless to stop it. The once-mighty Mister Baxter was now a shadow of his former self, brought down by his own arrogance and greed.
