Chapter 45 - Emily's Sudden abduction

As Kai and Emily sat in the presidential suite, they were surrounded by opulence and grandeur. The room was lavishly decorated with expensive artwork, plush carpets, and sparkling chandeliers. The walls were painted a warm, golden color, and the furniture was made of rich, dark wood. The suite was filled with the sweet scent of fresh flowers, and the sound of soft music played in the background.

Kai looked at Emily and said, "Emily, your boyfriend has a lot of things up his sleeve." Emily smiled and said, "Stop joking, Kai. Tell me, are you really this great boss, shareholder of this place?"

Kai nodded and said, "Yes, this establishment... I'm the shareholder of this establishment. That's why I can get inside this place without doing anything or standing in line."

Emily's eyes widened in amazement. "Wow, Kai, this place must be more than eighty million rand." Kai smiled and said, "Actually, annually it makes more than one hundred and twenty million."

Emily gasped. "What? And if we sell this place, someone can buy it for...?" Kai completed her sentence, "Six hundred million rand."

Emily's eyes were wide with wonder. "That's a lot of money, Kai. And you're still in school? Why are you still going to school and not taking control of your businesses?"

Kai shrugged. "I still need that prestigious degree. And I want to get good grades." Emily looked at him with admiration. "Wow, Kai, I don't think I'm worthy of you. Look at my background, look at me."

Kai took Emily's hand and said, "I didn't choose you for your background. I chose you for who you are - your kindness, your soft voice, your smile." Emily smiled back at Kai, feeling grateful and loved.

As the waiter came in, he said, "Sir, here's the menu. What will it be?" Kai looked at the menu, scanning the options and prices. "I want the lobster," he said, ordering some of the fanciest dishes on the menu.

The waiter nodded and turned to Emily. "And you, miss?" Emily looked at Kai, then back at the menu. "Kai, I've never been to places like this," she said. "I don't know what to order."

Kai smiled reassuringly. "Hm, you can just order anything you want," he said. Emily nodded, taking a deep breath. She ordered two dishes, looking a bit uncertain but also excited.

The waiter nodded and asked, "Will that be all?" Emily nodded, and the waiter left. A few minutes later, he returned with their food, presenting it to them with a flourish.

As they ate, Kai and Emily chatted, enjoying each other's company. Emily couldn't help but feel a little awestruck by the luxurious surroundings. She had grown up in a family that had some money, but they had never been able to afford places like this. She had always eaten at lower-class restaurants, never experiencing the fine dining that Kai took for granted.

But now, as she sat in the presidential suite, surrounded by opulence and luxury, she felt like the luckiest person in the world. She was grateful to be with someone like Kai, who could take her to such high places and show her a world she never knew existed.

As they sat in the presidential suite, soft music played in the background, filling the room with a warm and intimate atmosphere. Kai stood up, a sudden urge to dance taking over him. He turned to Emily and asked, "Care to take a dance?"

The presidential suite was big enough for them to move around, and with the music playing softly in the background, they had the perfect setting for a romantic dance. Kai requested the DJ to play a soft music tone, and as the music changed, Kai and Emily stepped onto the dance floor.

At first, Emily was a little shy and said, "Kai, I cannot dance." But Kai reassured her, "Why? I will lead you." Emily stood up, and Kai took her hands in his. They began to dance, their bodies swaying to the music as they floated across the floor.

As they danced, Emily thought to herself, "Wow, Kai's a great dancer." At first, they made a few mistakes, but Kai led her on, and soon they were dancing in perfect harmony. They looked into each other's eyes, and Emily felt like she was melting into his gaze. She thought to herself, "I want to stay with him forever. I want to be happy like this forever."

As they danced, Kai moved closer, his lips brushing against Emily's. It was a soft, gentle kiss, but it sent shivers down Emily's spine. She felt like she was floating on air, and Kai's kiss was the only thing keeping her grounded.

Kai pulled back, a sly smile spreading across his face. He said to himself, "Let me try something." And with that, he pulled Emily into an illusionist state.

In this dreamlike state, Emily found herself in a beautiful field, surrounded by wildflowers and towering trees. Kai was by her side, and they were running together, their feet bare and their hair flowing in the wind.

Emily felt like she was floating, and she wondered where she was. At first, she was scared, but as she looked at Kai, she felt a sense of calm wash over her. They were running, and then they were floating in the air. It was like paradise, and Emily felt like she was in heaven.

As they floated, Emily felt a sense of peace and happiness that she had never felt before. She was with Kai, and nothing else mattered.

And then, suddenly, they were back in the presidential suite. Emily opened her eyes, looking up at Kai in confusion. "Uh, Kai, what just happened?" she asked.

Kai smiled, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Huh, don't worry, I just did something," he said. Emily looked at him, her eyes narrowing slightly. "You did what?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

As they stepped out of the presidential suite, the waiter stopped them. "Wait, the manager wants to see you," he said. The manager, a middle-aged man with a warm smile, approached them. "Sir, I just wanted to personally welcome you to our establishment," he said. "As the shareholder, we're honored to have you here."

Kai smiled, nodding in appreciation. The manager continued, "As a valued shareholder, we'd like to provide you with a dedicated account manager, who will cater to your every need and ensure that your experiences with us are always exceptional."

Kai's eyes lit up with interest. "Thank you," he said. "I appreciate that."

The manager smiled and nodded. "You're welcome, sir. We're committed to providing you with the highest level of service and ensuring that your time with us is always memorable."

With that, the manager bid them farewell, and Kai and Emily continued on their way, hand in hand.

As they walked out of the restaurant, a car came screeching to a halt beside them. Kai's instincts kicked in, and he quickly pulled Emily close, his eyes fixed on the car.

But before he could react further, the car surged forward, heading straight for Emily. Kai's reflexes took over, and he made a swift motion with his hand. Emily's body began to glow with a soft, ethereal light, and she seemed to fade away, becoming translucent.

The car passed through her, and the people around them gasped in shock. "What happened? Didn't the car just hit her?" someone exclaimed.

Kai's eyes narrowed as he watched the car speed away. He turned to Emily, who was still glowing with the soft light. "Are you okay?" he asked, his voice low and concerned.

Emily nodded, still looking a bit shaken. Kai's eyes scanned the surrounding area, his mind racing with questions. Who was in that car? Was it an accident, or was it a deliberate attempt to harm them?

He turned to Emily, his expression serious. "This may be planned," he said, his voice barely above a whisper. "Seems like they were targeting us. But who could this be "

Kai looked at Emily with a smile on his face. as Kai was pondering his thoughts, a black van pulled up beside them. Four men jumped out of the van, their movements swift and deliberate. One of them made a grab for Emily, and before Kai could react, they had already snatched her away.

"Emily!" Kai shouted, his voice echoing through the night air. He watched in horror as the van sped away, Emily's struggling form visible through the rear window.

Kai was left standing alone, his mind reeling with shock and anger. "What to do now?" he muttered to himself, his fists clenched in frustration. "How could I let that happen? Who would do that?"
