As Mike and Kai were sitting in Kai's room, Mike looked at Kai and said, "Uh, can you, can you just take me home, bro? I want to, I want to go to my father's house and we can talk about this."
Kai replied, "Okay, I will take you."
Mike turned to Miss Sophia and said, "Thanks, Miss Sophia, for the meal. It was really great."
Miss Sophia smiled and said, "Okay, it's okay, it's a pleasure. I hope you fix everything at your house and the things."
Kai stood up and said, "Bro, okay, let's go."
So they went out, drove out of the yard of their mansion, and drove. As they were driving, Mike and Kai went into a conversation.
Kai asked Mike, "Mike, why didn't you tell me about this? Why?"
Mike looked down, feeling a bit embarrassed. "I didn't want to tell you, bro, because everything you have been doing, everything for me, and you've been buying me clothes, phones, and shoes. How can I ask you more?"
Kai reassured Mike, "You are my bro. I can do things for you. I've gone to Thirkenton. Why can I not buy things for you when I want to? Never doubt what I can do for you."
Mike nodded, feeling grateful. "Okay, okay, bro."
Kai continued, "Don't be afraid. Don't be scared, bro. We'll figure this out, and everything will be okay."
Mike took a deep breath and said, "It's okay, it's okay."
As they drove on to their neighborhood, the residents didn't recognize the car that was coming into their neighborhood.
As they approached Mike's house, they stood there, and Mike's father was walking outside, pacing up and down. He worried. He looked at this car coming from afar, and he wondered whose car was this? Standing in front of my yard.
Just when he thought, whose car is that? His son, and his son's friend came out of the car, and he thought to himself, well, would you look at that? Kai has come, came with another car.
As Mike and Kai came out of the car, approached the gate, and Kai said, Mike said, "Hey, Dad, what happened? Tell me."
As they went into the house, Mike's father said, "Hey, Kai, how are you?"
Kai replied, "I'm fine. How about you?"
Mike's father said, "Things are not so fine, but let's talk about it in the house. Sorry."
So they went into the house, and Mike's father talked about it and said, "You see, son, this is a family thing. I want us to talk in private about this."
Then Mike said, "No, Dad, you don't know Kai like I do. He can do this. He can fix this problem that we are facing right now."
Mike's father said, "Okay, okay, yes, but he can't help us. He cannot help us. He can do nothing."
Kai stepped in and said, "Mm, uh, sorry, Mister. Just tell me what happened, and I can fix this."
Mike's father looked at Kai and said, "Son, we've been having this loan for quite some time now, maybe after six or seven years. And now I can't even pay the debt. Now the bank wants to take our house away. So just yesterday we got this news that if we cannot pay even an inch of the money, our house will be sold, and we will be left homeless."
Mike's father said, "We can't go anywhere. We don't have relatives anywhere here near here."

Mike's father said, "Okay," and gave Kai his account number.
Just as they were sitting like that, Mike's mother, Ntombi, came out of the kitchen and said, "Hi, I've just fixed dinner. Do you want to come eat?"
Mike thought to himself, "Uh, well, I've just eaten at Kai's home. Now I'm gonna eat again."
Then Mike said, "Uh, no, Mom, I've already eaten at Kai's home."
Mike's father looked at his wife, Ntombi, who was looking at them with a concerned face. She said, "Uh, what are you discussing?"
Mike's father said to his wife, "Wife, we've got a solution to our problem."
Ntombi said, "What solution? What solution?"
Mike's father said, "Uh, Mike's friend out here, Kai, who bought him the newest phones and the newest clothes, he will help us out."
Then Ntombi said, "Really? Can he? Wow, that will be great. We are so thankful that you are going to help us with the house payment."
Then Kai said, "Nah, it's okay, Miss Ntombi. I'm doing it for your son, and I'm doing it for you also."
She said, "Okay, thanks Kai."
Kai took out his phone and typed some things, and a ring came on Mike's dad's phone. As he read, he said, "Wow. Wow. Five hundred thousand rand has been deposited into your account."
Missus Ntombi said, "What's happening, my dear? Come and look, come and look here."
As she came near and Mike's father showed her the phone, she said, "Wow. That's a lot of money. We only need one hundred and twenty thousand rand to pay off the house, but he sent more than that, even twice."

Kai said, "Yes, I really do enjoy it."
Mike looked at his friend and said, "Bro, I'm really thankful for what you did today. We have gone through a lot today."
Kai looked at Mike with a concerned face, careful not to spill anything about the things that happened in the game shop.
Then Kai gave Mike a stern look and said, "Yes, bro, you have gone through a lot today."
Kai turned to Mike's mother and said, "Uh, no bank can take away your house now. Go and pay the house off and buy some more things with that money. I don't know, you decide what you can buy with that money."
Kai paused and then added, "And plus, this is another surprise for you. I'm gonna give your son another car."
Mike's father and mother shouted out in surprise, "Hey Kai, you said you wanna give him a car! Son, you have done too much for us. You have paid off the house, and now you're giving him another car?"
Kai said, "Yes, I'm gonna give him a car. My mother and I have talked about this, and we've decided we're gonna give him one."
Mike's mother said, "Wow, that's great, that's really, really great."
Mike's father asked, "What about your mother? Then you'll have only two cars?"
Kai replied, "No, we all have three cars. I have a car, my mother has another car, and Mike's gonna take another extra one."
Mike's father said, "Wow, that's amazing. So he's gonna drive to school now, no buses and all these things."
Kai said, "Yes, yes, no buses and anything."
Mike's father said, "Thanks, Kai, really, really, we thank you. You can ask me anytime for petrol money if you need to go to school or what else."
Mike's father said, "No, we can't burden you so much. You have already paid off a house, bought us new clothes, and now you want to put petrol in his car every month so he won't have to worry about it."
Kai said, "No, he's my bro, I'll protect him. We can go through this stuff, so I will do it. This is your family car, and this is his car, my bro Mike's car."
