Chapter 6 - Chapter 6 - I Shouldn't Have Been Lazy

Rikuro's POV:

'Why is there a monster!?' I thought as pain flowed through my brain. Time seems to slow down, I keep asking for a reason why it happened to find me. If there's a monster who's roar could shake the forest why did it come to me?

Then it hit me like a truck hit an Isekai main character.

'The organs of the rabbit.. and the light and smoke of the campfire. Why didn't I do something about those.'

As time begins to move normally, I fell from the pain, falling to the ground, I quickly turn around. My face filled with despair immediately, I didn't care that two of my spears was broken.. because.

"I'm gonna die.."

A massive brown bear about 10 meters is now infront of me, it's claws splattered with my blood. I haven't thought about it, but if a 10 meter tall bear can stand up here, willy nilly.. how tall, is this forest?

"That's a massive bear.. what do I do"

Suddenly the handy dandy system comes up.

『Massive Brown Bear』

A bear that's 10 meters tall, surprisingly it's fast enough to quickly swipe and hit the back of a running teenager. A 5'11 person is only as tall as the middle of it's Tibia or shinbone

'If it's brown fight back' might be hard to do.

'It's using my experience to make the info on this bear.. well then..

If I can't run.. I should fight back!!'

I stand up, my legs shaking, the cut in my back doesn't help me.. I can assume that 3 of it's claw hit me.. I mean that's how many claw is in It's paw. I spat out blood, not caring how I spat blood. I finally stood up.. a smile of excitement, pain and fear crept up to my face.

My hand starts shaking, was it fear.. no, was it because I'm cold.. no.

IT'S BECAUSE IM EXCITED!!

I throw the plastic bag on my left hand, throwed the broken spears into the ground and clenched the spear in my right hand.

"TELL CLIFFORD IN HEAVEN I SAID HI!!" I scream at it and it return it roared back to me, "RRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRR" It hurts my ear, but that isn't enough to stop me.

(A/N: Clifford is a massive red dog from a cartoon)

I ran at it, quickly wanting to disintegrate its head with 『Matter Destruction』. Its left paw (from the bear's perspective) starts to move towards me. In just a few seconds I closed the distance to its paw.. mere centimeters away from me.. then, I dodge to the right, away from the body of the bear, it's paw missing me. I put my hand on the paw of this bear and then..

"SOKUJIHAKAI"

(A/N: Sokujihakai or instant destruction)

It's paw quickly vanished into dust, it's left arm missing a paw now has an open wound, I could see the flesh and presumably the bone of it as blood quickly rushes out of the open wound.

Not wasting any more time, I run to the side of the bear.

"RRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRRR"

It didn't noticed me as it was roaring in pain, such roar like that again would make my ears bleed. But I quickly use this chance to get a quick stab at it with my spear.

'I shouldn't depend on Hakai too much, doing so will kill me one day'

I keep thrusting the spear into it's body, the sound of it's flesh squelching everytime I stab it.

It roared again

I don't care. My ears begun to bleed, I took the spear and run to a fair distance away from it before I threw the spear into it's eyes.

My ears ringing

'I hope my theory works..'

The spear hits the head of the bear, not the eyes, but the head. Fortunately it stuck itself to the side of the bear. Looking at the spear a wave of destructive energy is flowing through it destroying the spear in the process.

That destruction wave flowed through the spear and into the head of the bear. From what I can see a third of its head was now destroyed. I could see it's skull, flesh, and it's brain.

It roared again much, much louder than before..

'If this continue I might become deaf, I need to end this now!'

I climb the side of the bear, it was now moving erratically, swinging it's left hand around while it's right hand unabled to move due to the pain.

I put my hand on it's brain.

'Soft.. and squishy.. it feels weird. No forget that hit it and kill it now!'

"SOKUJIHAKAI"

It's brain and some part of it's skull quickly vanished causing the bear to stop moving.

The bear begins to fall face first into the ground.

"Boom!!"

A loud sound or so I think boomed the whole area. A wide array of dust, smoke, and rocks was shot out of the ground due to the bear falling. I hold onto it's back when it fell to not fall off.

As I now jump off the bear, I look to the west, the direction I was moving on. I saw trees fallen and broken due to the bear moving it and stomping on it if it's in the way.

'This bear.. could I sell its head?'

Such thoughts cross into my mind but I disregard them, I pick up my plastic bag. Fortunately the bear didn't fell on it.

As I begun to move forward into the path that the bear kindly given me.. my knees fell.

My breathing becomes shallow.

It was hard to breathe.

My heart started beating faster and faster and faster.

"It.. hurts."

Wave of fatigue from the usage of 『Matter Destruction』too much and from fighting the bear. The pain that I have forgotten came back.

My eyes were now bloodshot, I didn't noticed but on its last roar, my vision became red. My ears hurt.. it keeps on ringing and ringing.. maybe I became deaf.

'I can't hold.. on much longer.. somebody.. save me.'

That familiar darkness consumes me.. again.

My eyes roll back and my eyelids shut. I fell face first into the ground.. I might've been bleeding somewhere else.. but I wouldn't know now.

'Will.. I.. die?'

That is my last thoughts

The MC isn't dead chill and let me cook. Anyways I'm now happy because I just got recommended on fresh stories!! Thank you all, and thank you on those who put my novel on their collection.

I'm very grateful and I didn't expect this to ever happen, so again, thank you all.

Next chapter is now outside the forest.. it probably will be a bit cliché but hey, if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
