A/N: I'ma need y'all's opinion.. I have the option to apply for a contract. I know I said no payments.. but the idea of my novel getting a comic.
It'll be hard cause of the 1500 words daily requirements and I have to get more than 60$ to retain it.. but should I? I probably shouldn't.

??? POV:
A few minutes ago I heard, a barrage of roars.. it shook the Eirnid Forest to its core.. the very forest that was as tall as a castle wall and as dense as the sky.
I ran to outside of my house and quickly geared up, I wore my steel armor that I use in emergencies, I sheated my sword and I walk in front of the gates that leads to the forest.
I stand there with my team of about 15 men, 5 are left behind to guard the village. The people in the logging camp already evacuated.
??? - "ARE YOU ALL READY!!?"
The 15 men - "OOOORAAH!!!!"
The 15 men under me screamed in unison, we don't know what happened inside the Eirnid Forest but I sure do wish it was just the shaking of the ground.
'There.. were.. no.. roars.. right????'
Forgetting the thoughts that came over me, we move into the deep forest, looking for any signs of a fallen tree, or something that shows destruction.
We keep looking for about 10 minutes.. it was very risky to travel far so I screamed at the troops to fall back.
??? - "CAPTAIN EOBARD!! LOOK OVER HERE!!"
One of my men screamed my name, so I stopped the retreat and look at it.
It was horrifying..
The sight of trees bigger than your house.. broken, torn and fallen.
I can't deny it now.. this was done by The King of Eirnid. The humongous bear that can reach the top of my house.
I gulped in fear..
Eobard - "Men, one of you come back and tell the village.. and if we don't return by noon.. don't find us."
One of my men, knowing the situation ran back home..
'He has a family if I remember.. we all have families damn it.. mom.. dad.. No! Forget that thought Eobard!!'
I slap my cheeks making everyone startled.
'Well no matter, we have to do this.. if we can just see the bear.. we might figure out it's intentions.'
Eobard - "Men, we have to figure out the beast's desire, if it's going to our village one of you should ran back and tell everyone to prepare or run away.. we'll hold it off if it comes to that."
My men nod their heads in unison, I unsheathed my swords and so don't men.
We continue to walk this path the beast made.. it seemed like it was rushing at something. The beast normally doesn't move in a straight line and.. it doesn't destroy this much.
'We've been going for about 5 minutes now. I don't know how many meters it must have been.. 300 meters, 500 meters. It can't be over a kilometer.'
When we now begun to lose hope of seeing the King of Eirnid, I saw a kid with black hair, he's wearing weird clothes and he seems to just be coming of age.
I quickly told everyone.
Eobard - "There's a person here! Someone guard me as I look at him."
As I get closer and closer to the kid.. I saw the feet of the King of Eirnid. Why didn't I saw that before, it was fallen over, is it dead?
I signaled everyone to stop moving and I whispered to them to be cautious of the bear.. and the kid.
As we begin to get closer and closer, some of my men moved to the front of the fallen bear.
??? - "The King of Eirnid is dead sir! He's right paw was missing and there's a Gian hole in it's skull.. and.. it's also.. missing a brain."
Eobard - "Huh??"

Eobard - "Say that again?"
??? - "There's a.. giant hole in it's head.. and.. it's brain is.. gone."
Eobard - "HUUUUUH????, somebody manage this kid, I'll look at the bear.
My mouth was wide open, if I could make my jaw bigger it would have been probably on the ground. Snapping out of it I run to the King of Eirnid, and I look into it's head.
'He was telling the truth.. this.. kid. Did he do this?'
Eobard - "Someone treat that kid back to optimal condition, I'll take care of him when we go back to the village. And please.. can any of you bring the bear.. you 10 go and do it.
The 10 lads - YES SIR!!
They salute at me and they begin to pull the bear. One of my men carried the boy while I look at his.. camp. There's only 3 guards with me right now.
'This kid.. what is this.'
I look at the transparent bag.. it's filled with rabbit fur, sticks, wood, vines, flints, one canine, bow drill, and.. a cup? It's white and.. just weird. I gave the bag to one of my men to hold it.
'How long has he been here? Why does he have a canine, and.. how did he even attracted the Ki-, oh.. there's organs here.. looks too small, probably some prey animal. Dumb kid.'
Eobard - "Let's go back.. we can't do anything here anymore. Hide the bag and just say nothing about this. Say it to the others too and.. chop the head off the bear. No need for anyone to question us."
The three men nodded and run back to the main troops. I followed behind them, while also guarding the rear.
'Now what do we do about the paw.. it looks too rough, too many bumps, let's just hope that they believe it's an animal.'
We walk back to our village.. the Ria Village, a small yet formidable village. But before we came back I thought of a plan to make my reasoning believable.
We took slashes at it, and slashed it's whole arm off taking the bone with it. We now took flesh from it and spread it through the forest.
The guards who took the boy run back, and we came back home after a few hours, it was almost noon.
Murmurs emerge from the crowd due to the 10 meter bear that we brought back.
Eobard - "Everyone, we have found the King of Eirnid dead, it seems to have taken damage from other animals and died, its head and right arm had been eaten with only bones remaining. We didn't bring it back due to how heavy the body already was. Look at it's the King's dead body!! It was mauled!! For 50 years we haven't seen it but it's reign of terror were supreme. Now we can use the forest!!
Murmurs were now exchanged with applause and admiration.

'Today we had a festival, it was because of the King of Eirnid's death and the arrival of the count, the kid is now under my roof for the time being. He still haven't waken up.. at least no one here cared about him, it seems the two guards made some good reason. His wounds were quite severe.. his back had three nasty slashes on it.. possibly due to the King of Eirnid.'
The kid kept saying something in a language I don't understand.
??? - "Okāsan.. Otōsan.. Arisu.."
(A/N - translation is 'Mom.. Dad.. Arisu..')
Here he goes again, he seems to keep repeating those words.
He'll probably wake up sometime tomorrow.

I was going back into my humble abode because I just came from my mother's house.
I walk into the guest bedroom to see if the kid is awake.
He is.
He was looking outside the window on his left side.
He then looked at me.
??? - Dare?

Volume 1 finished.. I'll take a day off before volume 2 begins.. I know it's fast but.. this was a good way to end the volume right?
