"Where's the master?" Kragen asked from behind Gabrielle, causing Gabrielle to turn and give him an exasperated look.
"He's in the... hold on, who is that with you?" Gabrielle inquired, his eyes widening in surprise as he noticed the girl standing beside Kragen, her expression filled with defiance as if she didn't belong there.
"Kragen, that's against the code! Why would you bring a human here? Does the master even know about this? You know how he..." Gabrielle began, but Kragen swiftly interrupted.
"She's not a human, Gabrielle. She's my mate..."
"I'm not your mate, you lunatic," Indiana retorted, rolling her eyes and stepping closer so that Gabrielle could see her clearly.
"Oh, it's you. You're the second guardian of our master's mate," Gabrielle acknowledged, Indiana responding with another eye roll before shifting her gaze towards the car, trying to catch a glimpse of who this mysterious master was.
