There was a silver-headed guy too? Looking again, there wasn't anyone in that direction.
I looked at the children, counting. Skipping Lucas, there are six colored heads in my sight. Pink, green, turquoise, lavender, orange and silver. Silver? The guy from earlier!
I had seen the energetic orange-haired girl flying around and also drolling over pastries, but I hadn't noticed this otherworldly pretty boy anywhere.
He was almost as tall as Luca, but much skinnier than him. Looking at me, he cast a dashing smile, like those of celebrity actors.
"Ah, it's okey! People tend to not notice me! I am not the noticeable kind..." He said in a calm and scholarly tone with a faint smile. Very much in contrast with his age, like a certain someone.
He also had a heavenly voice. What is he trying to say? He is so noticeable that it makes me, a person who is content with their face and voice, envy him.
Putting aside the envy, I stepped forward.
"Nice to meet you, Silver!" I said, smiling back at him.
Jolted, he looked at me in surprise.
"How did you know my name?" He asked with rounded eyes.
Grandfather was not creative, so based on how he named the others, it was easy to guess.
However, he didn't need to know that, so I just deepened my smile."By the way, how old are you?" I asked him anxiously, since his name looked similar to gold.
Before he could answer, I made a wild guess as I clapped my hands together happily.
"Over 100?"
He looked shocked. He rebuked with hostility, coming out of that gentle shell of his.
"Are you trying to mess with my future prospects? I am just thirteen!"
Such a disappointment, but the heck... Are all children these days like this? I am 28 and not even thinking of my martial statue, yet here this 13-year-old kid is worrying about his marriage prospects. At thirteen years old!!
His white face had become so red that it was worrisome. I tried to make things right.
"Ah, it's just that you looked so mature..."I said with good intentions. Trying to soothe him, but it went south.
"Pfft, you act like an old man~~" said the orange-haired girl, Flare also 13 years old, holding her mouth in a teasing way.
She stared at him with narrowed eyes and an evil smile.
"You will become an old single miser! HEHE! If you beg me, I might let you play with my grandchildren!" Flare said that in a provoking tone before running away, or more accurately flying away, which worked really well as silver swiftly flew, fumingly chasing after her.
"In your dreams! No one will ever even marry you since you're ugly and even if you did you with your personality, you will end up like Gold!" Silver shouted at her.
'Had Gold married? So why is she here?' I didn't get time to dwell on it anymore as those angel-looking thirteen-year-olds started a catastrophe. There were fire and bolts everywhere!
'This is a disaster...' I thought as I run towards the house. Noting lightning bolt marks, burn marks, shattered glasses and other damages to the building, both old and new ones. They were being so extra about their little child-fight that they hurt each other and the surroundings. The sunny air had changed into a typhon.
At this moment, worried about Lucas in the car, I felt like I should do something. Reason with them, scold them, yell, anything. However, the words didn't come out. I had this feeling of babysitting someone else's children, having lots of responsibilities while not having any rights.
Feeling helpless, I looked at Gold, who was coming down the stairs. Hope sipped inside me, making my eyes glow with it. Even if she doesn't look like it, she is the oldest here, so for sure she's gonna do something.
Unlike my expectations, she acted like there was nothing going on outside. Turning to the semi open kitchen, she opened the fridge only filled with beers and downed two cans, right there and took one more with her.
Seeing my bewildered eyes, she sighed.
"They will stop when one of them gets knocked out." She said in an indifferent tone without looking at me.
Her indifference reminded me of a certain fairy. He also acted like nothing in this world had anything to do with him. Like nothing had the worth of his attention.
"Are you by any chance a fairy?" I asked in a rather prejudicing tone.
She glanced at me. Her one glance made me shiver to my bones. It is imposing and charismatic, yet familiar. She took her eyes off me, lessening the suffocating chill.
"No, I am not born from one, therefore I am not one! Parentless, or born into the nature, like little Jerald said..."
Saying that, she sat beside the grand piano, stroking it as she sipped from her third can and pressing the keys occasionally in a daze. It looked like the piano was precious to her, but just not her cup of tea. She looked like a breathing doll.
Bam!
Bam!
Whoosh! Whoosh!
The building shook with a wave of heat. Isn't this dangerous?
"It didn't look like you were aware of anything but, did Sammy not tell you about me either? Does he wanna play like this?" she said in a freezing tone as she crumbled the can with force.
What is she going on about? Her priorities, added to the impact of the visions, made me snap at her!
"Are you interested in that right now? No! He didn't! Happy? Now do something about them before they burn this whole place and everyone to the crisp!!" I said, screaming at her.
Suddenly, she stood up, staring at me. Even if she wasn't tall, she had this intimidating aura around her. Her eyes were even more freezing than earlier.
"Gulp!"
She took a step, so did I, just in the opposite direction...
Well, the look on her face made me cower. Why did I do that? What if she, with her super powers, beats me right here?
Shaking her head at me, she went back up the stairs.
BOOM!
With the loud booming sound that had a distinct click to it and sounded different from the ones from earlier, everything became as quiet as a peaceful, summery dawn.
The short Turquois standing on a stool, who was excitedly watching the show from the broken window, jumped down, and ran out, shouting happily.
"Cinnamon is back!!!! Apple is back!!!"
Out the door were a two boys looking to be around sixteen or eighteen. Both were around 180 tall and had handsome faces. As expected, one boy had cinnamon coloured short-hair and eyes and glowing bronze skin. While the other boy had apple green eyes, apple green shoulder long hair and fair brown skin.
If Silver looked like a divine angel, they looked like Greek Gods. I happily ran out towards those cutie pies. They are for sure older than eighteen!
The green-haired boy was standing in front of Flare. What he said made me halt.
"You are my twin, but how are you so dumb? How could you burn down everything again?"
To be honest, other than their heights, their faces indeed were cunningly similar. Therefore, I changed my direction to the other guy who accidentally was also standing in front of Silver.
The thought of them being twins too stopped me. No way? I mean, what are the odds? They are nothing alike...
"Big brother, you promised you won't fall for her provocations again!!"
I halted for the second time. Hah, I was this close to offend the third person in just three hours!
"Are we leaving now?" Crimson's questioning voice from behind me made everyone's heads turn in our direction.
I waved with a small smile!
"Hi!"
Apple frowned, but before he could say anything, Flare dragged him towards me. She introduced him with a big smile.
"This is my twin brother, Apple! He is super smart and plays the piano well. But I am stronger than him!"
Leaving him then she came to me and dragged me to the other boy.
"This is Silver's younger brother by a year, Cinnamon. They were born from the same typhon's mana! Awww leave me you dog!"
Crimson suddenly bite Flare's hand, making her free her grip on my wrist. Doing that, she griped it herself and victoriously showed my hand to the others.
"Even though she has beggar clothes on, she is the one grandpa told us about. The one who has a castle! I won her. Now she's taking us to her castle." She said in a smug tone.
"Are we going to live in the castle near Gaspere's house?" Cinnamon said, his expression changing from guarded to delighted. He looked much younger and shorter up close. Just like 10 cm taller than silver.
Silver, who had probably seen my comparing look, gave me a warning glare. I extended my hand and ruffled his winking hair as I mouthed sorry with a big smile. It was much softer than I thought.
Taking my hand off his head, he touched his hair, looking about to faint. Everyone was looking at me with jaws that were about to drop. Seems like I was making many mistakes today! My smile changed to an awkward one. Taking advantage of their awe, I made an excuse and ran towards the car.
"Everyone's hungry, right? I will go bring food and call grandfather while you pack up!" I shouted from the car window as I drove away.
