"Lucas! I am going to bring them over. I will be back soon!"
Shouting that I exited.
Sound of hurried steps came from behind me. Lucas was running this way.
"I'm coming too!"
His determined voice made my head ache.
"Lucas! Look at the car. There isn't even enough place for everyone else. How am I supposed to take you, too?"
His expression soured, and he became angry.
"That is none of my business! I never asked you to bring me to this haunted jungle, and you were the one who wanted to take them in without even asking me or considering your trash car's capacity! You are an irresponsible dumb childlike crazy grown up who can't even take care of herself, let alone me!" He shouted at me with an expression of wanting to fight. Even his stance was offensive.
My face crumbled as I took a step towards him. He took a step back, which almost made me forget everything and laugh.
But just almost... How dare he say that? I stared at him coldly. He was going over the boundaries. Moving my jaw, I prepared before yelling.
"How dare you say that about Cossette? She's a baby worth 300 thousands originally, yet she is even bullet proofed and equipped with other equipments! Which makes her worth more than half a million." I growled at him in one go without even taking a break in the middle. Then I looked at Cossette and back at Lucas. She deserved better!
"You know what? My darling won't give you a ride! Bye!"
After saying that, I was about to run towards the car that Lucas jumped over like a cat. Clinging on to my clothes as if his life was on the line! Not letting me move an inch!
"Let me goo! My clothes are really dirty, you are dirtying yourself! Let me go! Ahhhh! Why are you so strong? Your scrawny bones are so hard to get poked by. Let me go!"

Looking at him from the corner of my eyes, I sighed inwardly. In the end, he came with me, and now we are on the road. How com I can't even intimidate one child 2/3 my height, half my weight and half my age?
Maybe my socialization skills are all gone after not having had a normal talk with anyone in over a year. It's been a while since I felt this helpless after not knowing what to say and what to not. The silence is really killing me!
If I am not wrong, which is for sure since I can't forget anything, the last time I was in this kind of situation was when I had dinner with Damon. I am not sure how he manages his clients since he is the least extrovert person I know. Of course, after myself...
I really envy the ones who took after mother. Lucky extroverts. Starting a conversation is really the hardest thing ever. Am I gonna endure this kind of silence until he becomes twenty? He wasn't like this before. Who broke him?? Me? But I didn't even do anything! He can't possibly still be angry because of the joke!
"Why did you wanna start a fight?" I asked to make the silent break.
"What did your grandfather say?"
'Damn my mouth...'
"..."
"You can keep it to yourself if you don't want to talk about it." He said in a freezing tone. Turning his head to the window and taking a deep breath before turning his head to me again. He looked angry.
"If it's not about me you can, but it was since you suddenly looked at me as if you were looking at a pitiful thing!" He roared with a freezing expression.
"What did he say? " His serious tone, despite not being loud, intimidated me. I really should be ashamed of myself.
"Nothing much, just that they chose me to be your guardian since I saw the other creatures living in this world... Like you do."
I said just the necessary, leaving the unnecessary ones behind, then winked at him with a wide smirk.
"Feather of the same flake..."
Pointing to him and then to myself.
"Should stick together...! Holly!"
The words stuck in my mouth. I couldn't express my feeling regarding what was happening. An even more crazy typhon of natural disasters was taking place where there was supposed to be the villa.
The scene was even more horrifying than in my dreams. There were lightings, fire, typhon and tsunami, all at once.
"What- what should we do?" asked Lucas, stuttering.
I looked at him helplessly.
"This is the reason you should have stayed at home!"
Looking around, I searched for the younger children. Unexpectedly, unlike the ashed house, they were fine. A mildly glowing shelter surrounding them as the natural disasters bump into it, only to get easily reflected. My supposed to be great grandmother sat in the middle of that shelter and ate popcorn in a leisurely way. Looking unimpressed but kind of entertained..
However, it was only the small ones, plus the damned grandfather's mother. Crimson, Torques, Flake and Gold.
At this moment, if someone told me she made them fight out of the boredom, I would believe it. There was the genetics and also the attitude. Like how grandfather made his children fight for inheritance and followed the news about the fight with excitement.
This place really isn't my place. I took a reverse to run away, that suddenly the fight came to a halt. All the scary disasters in the air were now looking my way. Will they follow me if I ran away? They didn't do that last time.
Gathering confidence, I drove farther back, which I shouldn't have as all the disasters are now right next to my car. Glaring at me furiously.
"H- hi! You didn't have to com and w- welcome! Haha!" I said as I got out of the car, shaking my head at Lucas. Trying to convey "Don't com out...".
In contrast to their innocent looks, these children were dangerous. One mistake and our heads will blow away. I put on my famous buttering up smile.
"I came to get you guys. Everyone, get on, the food will get cold!"
First one to react was Gold, small Flake still hanging from her hem. Or should I say great grandmother Gold?
She comfortably got behind the wheel and started the car. As if it was the most normal thing to do. Then, ignoring me, she called to the children.
"Who ever dosn't com now will get left behind."
Seeing this, I hurried to the front door, but got pushed aside by Flare and crimson. Sitting tightly next to the frozen Lucas, who looked about to pass out, and closing the door with a bang.
"Sorry Grandpa's granddaughter, there is only this much room in the front!" Said Flare with a pretty smile, as if she wasn't the one who blow up a house just minutes ago and pushed me just seconds ago.
I gave the shivering Lucas a sympatric stare before heading to the back. What I saw there was a road of teenagers sitting around the trailer with distance. The air between them looked pretty heavy, too.
